Limblifter (superthread)

Meegee said this a couple months ago. Pretty much what I posted but a little something else. "wont be out til late spring/early summer. chop chop is on it....new and improved. 12 songs in total" -
Listening more closely to Ryan demo it definitely sounds like it's Matt doing background vocals. Maybe I prefer the mainly Ryan one because that's the one I heard first but I really like him starting it off over Matt and doing main vocals. I don't think he's struggling at all but, it sounds perfectly fine to me in any case. I hope this is on Ryan's new solo album.
-
Ok it sounds to me like someone other than Ryan is singing a little bit in the Limblifter/Ryan demo and it sounds like it might be Matt. Does anyone know for sure if there is someone else and if it's Matt or not? I am of course not talking about the one in the NF Store. The one in the store Matt starts it off I believe and they share vocal duties, decomposinglight.

MG/RD - RD Nothing against Matt's singing in the song, but I prefer the Ryan Dahle version of it myself. I just think his vocals go better on this song. What do you think?

This band is responsible for a few of my personal favourite songs that I've ever heard. They are such great nostalgic (to me anyway) songs. They would be That Song, Blown Wide Open, The Oaf and maybe one or two more. Unfortunately they only made one fantastic album, but what a great it is. In Loving Memory Of.... The only slight problem I have with it is that the singles are of such quality that it kind of makes the album uneven. There are other great songs but some of it falls a little short by comparison. But, that doesn't really affect much because it is still one of my all-time favourites. Look What I Found, Under the Lighthouse and Overemphasizing are some other particular highlights and there's still more greatness. This is quality musicianship.

This is an album I didn't get into much until a few listens. I think it has seeped into my brain now to the point that I think it's a really good album but not my favourite. Some top notch songs of his are on here, my favourites probably being: The Rat Who Would Be King The Fall of Man Advertising on Police Cars The Workers Sing a Song of Mass Production Tripoli A couple others are very solid as well but I'll just leave it at that. It very well may be the most musically skilled of their albums and probably has the best production.

New Deftones!

Sorry but that's absolutely preposterous. SNW is WAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY different than the self-titled. It is their most diverse and is easily by a long shot their most atmospheric and dynamic and sounds largely unlike any of their others, yet still fits perfectly as a Deftones album. How they rank: 1. Saturday Night Wrist 2. Deftones 3. Around The Fur 4. White Pony 5. Adrenaline End. of. story. ;) -
Yes I agree. It totally sounds like something you'd hear in a movie, also the beginning part, and it's damn nice.
-
Yes, this is the first of the new demos I have actually caught before it going away. Although I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, from what I have it sounds promising. I really wanted to rip it but unfortunately I don't know of a ripper in which I can make sense enough of to get an internet stream.
-
Dang it, why can't he keep them up a little longer? Anyways, I wish I could be the one being asked but once again it would be nice if someone could message me a little something something.

Is there two versions this cd came out in? I thought I saw a jewel case of this and I know there is a paper one. And, if so, or not, does it come with a booklet? Because I'm getting around to purchasing this and the one I might get apparently doesn't have one and I was told it looked like there wasn't even a spot for one to go. Anyways, yeah this album is a treat I think. It's really different from all the rest and it is really nice hearing the fresh sound for Matt. It definitely will never beat or match the overall greatness of his top records I don't think but it is really nice to have nonetheless and has a few top tracks.
-
I actually quite enjoyed that. It's got a kind of cool sound to me. Sort of more old school or something, I'm not sure.
-
Bitch! I need to see it.
-
Would somebody please kindly hand it over to me? Or maybe not kindly, just as long as I get it! Hehe.

Yeah, you might be right. It would probably be just as good one to start with. -
Would someone please up me this?

Does anyone know where I could find that anti-war shirt with the gun and legs or whatever under it that says stop? I'm pretty sure it used to be up at Maple Music but it's gone now.
-
I've seen the Darktown label but had no idea it was his. I wonder why he only put one record out partially under it.
-
What the hell? Darktown is his label? I find that really strange if he has one because I've never heard such a thing.
-
Damn, heck yes. I haven't even seen it but really badly want to and have heard nothing but great about it. The only one that should win at the oscars out of the possible candidates.
