It's about time we get some info on this album again, although still no release date but they also posted a couple more new songs on the myspace so that will do for now. They really don't like to update their fans. I've been looking forward with giddy anticipation to this album for a couple years now. I have half the album now though so I don't have too much to complain about although I wish I'd just wait to hear the whole thing and not snatch every new song that's put up. I'm also glad to see Windmilling there but I was hoping I would see Nurse Spitfire which I recall being one of the best of the demos.

Jane. Jaaaaane....... please tell us about your time in the studio. I've been antsy for some juicy details and I'm sure everyone else is too. ;)

365 Days Gone: Don't be discouraged by nay-sayers and let them persuade you otherwise. I didn't read much of this thread but I agree with most or all of what I read of your posts. You actually care about truth and use some common sense. Thank you for making this topic and spreading the information. The North American Union is no doubt a real threat. Anyone who doesn't believe it's happening is simply far too into mainstream news.

Are you hearing the finished product? If so, how does Matt know it will be recorded by then? Or what is the deal with this? I don't get it.

No frickin' doubt man that that kicks serious ass. The rest of the song is for sure at least one of my favourites of Matt's band and solo, but damn does that rock fest towards the end add that much more to the song making it my pick for favourite MG song. I also really like the Lo-Fi B-sides version of the song.

Ok that is bizarre. Are these videos working for anyone else right now? I was watching random videos from void999 and all of a sudden everyone I click says it's no longer available. I try a few times and it keeps doing the same thing and then Strangest One of All suddenly works only to say it's no longer available again after another click. I didn't think these had been up for very long and I have no clue why they'd all of a sudden decide to remove them all. I went to the homepage of Youtube and clicked a few random videos and they worked so I don't know if it's just a Youtube problem. Ok, I've clicked on a few videos of his now and they're working so it must just be something screwy with the Tube or void was fiddling with them for a bit.

Always nice to have more of MGB live. Thanks for posting. They were pretty damn good, all the energy and whatnot.

He may technically be better, but I still prefer most of the MGB album versions that Dave played on to the MGB ones on this live recording.

Honestly, I had kind of thought the bass sounded quite high in the mix, or at the least very easy to hear. I listened to it with my Technics DJ headphones that I think sound very good for 40 bucks and a mid-high grade Panasonic cd player and the sound quality is overall plenty fine to me.

Uchhhhh, you got my hopes up a little. I haven't heard anything about a release date other than Meegee saying in like July or something that it could hopefully be out by September or October of this year at the latest or something. But I guess that didn't mean too much.

I voted for one of the only two I ever would vote for (out of the current options) knowing what I know. I voted a very little known party called the Canada Action Party.

Good stuff but I wonder why he decided to get real strings.... I thought he said we probably wouldn't really be able to tell the difference anyway and it would cost more to get a string quartet. Not that I am complaining mind you, just questioning.

Have any numbers come out for this that anyone here has seen, like how many were sold in the first week?

I would have no problem with CTV coming back to Matthew Good. I thought he was great on Avalanche and WLRARR.

Also to clarify my question, by is all of HM done in GB I am not just asking about the strings but about all the instruments like I have been under the impression Vancouver has been done.

Yes I very much agree about Bad Pennies. I honestly would really like it to be on the new album even though it's almost sure not to be. I really like it and I think it would add some good further variety to the record. Oh well. I could still listen to it whenever I want on a burned cd........ along with most of the other Vancouver demos that is. ;) Of course I no doubt plan on buying the cd when it comes out.

The earlier the better but like daniel v said I also have almost all the demos for the tentative album tracks and it sure is good enough I think to hold me over for the time being.

That's odd, I was sure I had posted in here but don't see it. Yes, as most everyone in here and anyone who has working ears and half decent taste would think, it was a grater to the brain. I can go with the change in music but the vocals are where it must be stopped. Horrible horrible voice.

Was all of Hospital Music done with Garageband? I remember seeing that Black Helicopter was a GB demo at one point but I'm not sure about the rest. And Matt said something a little while ago about there not being a single live string on HP so now it has made me wonder. It would just be kind of interesting to me if it was or I guess I just don't know how it works because HP sounds real and not simulated or whatever so I'm wondering about the new album, if all the sounds used in the program will sound as realistic?

I think Giant sounds very good on this live record and the best of MGB's songs on this set, followed by Everything is Automatic. Perhaps those are played less than the other MGB songs on here? This version of Giant kind of gives me a new appreciation for it. I really like how much oomph the new band gave it.
