  1. I agree that there's many songs of his that would be really nice to be on here that aren't, but you really don't like Weapon, Apparitions, Strange Days or Load Me Up? Like others have said, it was pretty much a given quite a few hits would be on here and I'm still really happy to have it. Overall I think it's solid. Sure there are a lot of little things that sound quite different from the album versions but the songs overall still sound quite good I think and it would be boring anyway if it just sounded the exact same. Some changes I think are for the better, some are just as good but maybe just in a different way, and some are definitely not as good but still plenty do-able. I think I definitely enjoy Champions of Nothing more on here and Blue Skies Over Bad Lands has some awesome touches that I think arguably sound better than on the album but I think I'll take the album version over it nonetheless. I'm really glad he included Giant and I personally find the MGB rockers to be plenty do-able songs on here, but I know what everyone's saying with them not having as much punch as some other songs. I think the production is very well done and it is absolutely worth listening to.
  2. Yes! I was lucky enough to get a copy of this cd thanks to a Walmart a couple towns over actually having it and my mother getting it for me as an early Christmas present. It was the only copy they had from what I saw so I'm glad to have been able to get it. I have only listened to the samples on iTunes at this point but I'll probably listen to it in full on Monday.
  3. Anyone here played it? Well, it's an amazing game that I highly recommend to any video game fan. Talk.
  4. I've liked the boy who could explode a lot more after a while of not hearing it. When I first heard it I liked it but didn't think it was one of the better ones after hearing a few demos but now I think it could be a favourite on the new album.
  5. Well, I am really happy with this song after one listen. It really should be on the record and I think it's easily one of my favourites already.
  6. I really like how he did this song and I'd have to agree it's definitely one of my favourite songs from Hospital Music.
  7. Does anyone have the full song?
  8. Yeah, that video kind of seems familiar but I didn't think I had heard that song before. It sounds nice, I like it.
  9. Yay, I actually managed to get it myself but I have to say I think I like POAIJ 2 better but I'll wait to hear the album version to give final judgement. It still sounds pretty good but I really liked the closing of the other one.
  10. Wow, that was interesting. I really enjoyed the sound most of the song but that change up around the 3 minute mark was a really cool and nice addition. Definitely a bit of a different sound and I liked it a lot. Although the vocals seem a bit rough but that's like most or all of these demos. They'll surely sound better on the finished product. I'm sure this song will be on the album.
  11. Well sooooorrry ;). I have noticed the *, I'm surprised I didn't find the egg. Thanks a lot for the info.
  12. Ok, it says there's a video for While We Were Hunting Rabbits on here but I don't see it on mine. I'd assume it would be with the rest of the videos but I don't see it. Can anyone help me out with this? I don't know why mine just wouldn't have it.
  13. I'm definitely interested. Hopefully I remember to check it out. Thanks for the heads up.
  14. Yes, now I haven't seen or heard the new live band but I have been thinking the White Light/Avalanche band is the way I think I'd like Matt to go with. I think they were the tightest of his solo career and it just seemed like they worked really well together. I wouldn't mind a return of Christian Thor Valdson, he seems solid.
  15. I decided to go with Beautiful Midnight because LOTGA is unique but I didn't want to vote it just because of that and I was also thinking Audio of Being which is a great title but I think BM just sounds the best to me.
  16. I enjoy quite a few of their songs and give many props to these guys and their music but haven't ever been heavy into them. I used to own a couple of their albums and still have one. I've heard a lot of their stuff but some of it very little and the best three cds they've released in my mind are Gordon, Rock Spectacle (a live album), and Stunt. Gordon is where it's at for me. Most of the songs on Stunt are enjoyable and it is a good solid album but Gordon has their most classic and fun songs. It is a classic fun album to break out once in a while. Edit: I change my mind, for now anyway. Listening to Stunt I think it is their best effort. Lots of unique, enjoyable and fun stuff on it. I think out of their albums it's the one I'd want to listen to the most often.
  17. I agree about one thing for sure with Agoraphobe. Matt in the background with the "I never want to go" and "stay home" does sound much better than whoever it is in the latest version. And overall I probably like Ryan's original demo the best but I am glad he changed it up further yet for the record and I think I'll still like it a lot. Whatever the case, we'll always have the other ones to listen to whenever we like.
  18. Cool, have you seen this on Matthew's site? He made a post talking about the new Ryan album. There's nothing new other than a picture but I didn't know he had talked about it and thought I'd point it out. Matthew-Ryan P.S. You can still hear the entire I/O on the Limblifter website I believe noise pollution.
  19. Holy shit! Everyone should check out these songs, they are really different/intriguing (to me right now anyway, though there is the possibility that I and maybe he have just gone straight out of our minds  ). I like Eek it's Halloweeen, Target Practice and heck, maybe all of them. I also am glad he gave Agoraphobe a decent amount of change up, although I really don't know if it was for the better. Oh enough with Ryan's voice, let's just agree it's plenty good enough. ;)
  20. I like it. Good tune and cool that he put a solo in there.
  21. And they call him Buckethead. I first heard Island of Lost Minds and thought it was really good/neat and I still think it's got some really cool shit on it but after hearing that and others with so much fiddle faddle I now try and focus on his stuff with more structure and song quality. There is still fiddling, which I like if it's not overdone and/or is interesting but out of the ones that I have heard I'll recommend Pepper's Ghost, Crime Slunk Scene and The Elephant Man's Alarm Clock. Pepper's I'd say being the most straightforward of the three, whatever that means for him. What a guy. He's the craziest mofo guitarist to ever grace these ears.
  22. Exciting news everyone. Ryan has now posted a song from the new record I believe called Target Practice on the myspace and says new record coming soon. He may also have more on another myspace. It says preview posted at ryandahle/myspace but I haven't checked it. Damn I am excited for this new stuff. This song is really different and it sounds like there might be some serious experimenting/out there stuff on this new one. It should be real interesting.
  23. Like it's that ridiculous that I think so highly of those songs. Ian definitely sometimes sounds Cornell-ish but I don't think he's trying to be a rip off. I think I might prefer his vocals over Cornell's at times.
  24. Have any of you heard the Bob Ezrin SNW demos? I really enjoy a lot of it with the experimentation and whatnot. There's some really cool sounds/vibes on it.
