I don't know if a thread has been made for them yet but you just can't beat the addictiveness of their Twin Cinema album. It is unquestionably their best release in almost every way. I especially love how it BY FAR emphasizes Kurt Dahle's drumming the most out of all their records. I honestly think it shows him to be a major virtuoso on the drums and it's some of the most kickass drumming I have ever heard. I think Mass Romantic is quite good but suffers from a mediocre production job. It is way too messy and doesn't let you hear everything distinctly like it should. Electric Version is solid as well but just not near as great in containing all the best elements that Twin Cinema does. TC has it all, from variety to simplicity to some hardcore complexity and the production is just spot on. It has an insane amount of hooks yet some more mellow, atmospheric moments, albeit not too many of those. It is a complete masterpiece in my opinion. One of the two catchiest albums I have ever heard. Discuss people.

Could someone please upload the new songs for me? I don't see it on the site anymore and really want to hear them. Thanks.

Epic Movie - BLAH! That's all I'll say. Employee of the Month - Surprised me, thought it would be fairly mediocre but it turned out pretty good. Idiocracy - One I really wanted to see because it's from the director of Office Space, has Luke Wilson in it and sounded like it could potentially be great. It was very interesting to watch in some regards but as a whole could have been quite a bit better.

I want to see this. I've seen The Illusionist and think it's really good. I wonder how this movie will compare to it.

That's awesome but was it a big thing you heard about when it was being filmed? It was also filmed in many other areas too far away from there yet wasn't it?

Tommy Boy I have the holy schnike edition and it's a good watch. That Chris Farley, he is just great and him and David Spade were such a good duo.

Favorite Live Album?
Manchalivin replied to Some Random's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
I haven't heard many live albums but from what I've heard the best I think are some Incubus bootlegs and Sarah Mclachlan's Mirrorball. It's fantastic. -

Ok there is something wrong with the search function on this forum it seems. I have now searched for at least two things where it said there wasn't a topic made for it only to find out otherwise. This was one of them. Anyways, what can I say that hasn't been said about Sarah McLachlan? She has the best female singing voice in existence. Her voice is truly beautiful unlike any other voice I know and there's no better way to describe it than angelic I don't think (any pun certainly intended). My favourite album of hers by far is Surfacing. The songs are just so memorable and her voice and delivery at least on this particular record is completely untouchable. Pretty much every song on there is gold in my opinion and she definitely struck up some magic with that one. Anyways that's all I can think of to say right now. I am so glad she's Canadian. -
Limblifter (superthread)

I was super bored yesterday or some other day, and went through all the pages on this music forum. There must have been 3 or 4 threads dedicated to Limblifter. ;) Lol well I just searched before I made this thread and none showed up so I don't know what the deal is with that. -

That's awesome if a record by them is out by summer but I can't help but be disappointed if that means they're not releasing "Limblifter" albums anymore. I wonder why it's being put out as a solo album. That also might make it much harder to find than it already is. I want it to be Limblifter dammit. ;) -

Me too. Also knowing certain parts of the movie were apparently shot in Brantford and other parts in Ontario fairly close to where I live is really cool to me. I don't for the life of me however know how I never heard of this while it was in production. I would think that would be a huge thing for a major budget movie to be shot there.

Quite frankly I don't really see the comparisons to White Pony at all. I think SNW sounds much different than it. Also I think it's far better than White Pony. Forgettable is actually the word I'd much much sooner use to describe WP. -

I almost can't believe there hasn't already been a thread made for this band on this forum. They're absolutely fantastic in almost every regard. They have three five star albums in my opinion and are easily one of the best Canada has had to offer. I almost think each of their albums is better than the last and can't wait until they release another. Ryan Dahle is a musical genious and I am glad him and Matthew have worked together. Shows Matt knows who the quality is. -
Nevermind. Made a mistake.

Hedley Guitarist Singing Change Of Season

Foul. That horrid excuse for a band shouldn't ever come within a mile of a Matthew Good song. Especially a song of that quality. -
I like this show a lot but annoyingly never see new episodes of it on tv. When do the new ones air?
-
For me I've enjoyed the shit out of Arrested Development but it will never in a billion milleniums surpass Seinfeld. The magnitude of that show is just endless for television.
