  1. Shit yeah! I was instantly intrigued quite a while ago just from reading the synopsis on imdb. It sounds like it could be fricking amazing. It's like a great recipe of comedy. Sounds potentially bizarre, but that's the way I like 'em.
  2. Broken Arrow
  3. That's a nice little tidbit and all, but, what does it have to do with this?
  4. Actually I had mentioned TKITH up on the last page. When it's good it's REALLY good and it's enough to keep me watching but there is just too much stupid shit on there that it keeps it from being anywhere near the top overall.
  5. 3:10 to Yuma - wasn't my idea American Psycho - Bale plays this so damn good
  6. Foo Fighters - Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace.
  7. Yes, even though this album has a lot of growing to do on my part, it does have some of the best qualities that have been missing since There is Nothing Left to Lose. There are definitely some more elements of The Colour and the Shape on here but it is still a lot different. It is reminiscent of it in the way that there is some more screaming again (spread throughout) and it's more diverse with a great blending of the soft and more hard edge. It makes sense as Gil is back and the production is definitely better on this than the last 2 records. I do and don't agree with you about In Your Honor disc one however. I agree it does have some generic (in a way), too radio sounding rock on it but it's a good bit better than One by One overall which in my opinion was a huge let down. Have it All is a super kick ass song though. And I'm very surprised to see you don't like Free Me as I think it's easily the best rock song on there and has some sweet sounds. I actually thought "now this is how you rock it". Still, nowhere near the magnificence of TCATS. No record on earth is as good as The Colour and the Shape. Magical times were upon them then and I think it is only meant to happen that way once. I don't think the album could have been put together any closer to perfect than it was (the flow and blend of soft/hard) and as good as a couple of the songs on the 10 year anniversary edition are, I am glad they weren't put on the original. It was made exactly how it should have been.
  8. MG - Generation X-wing (acoustic), Born to Kill, I Miss New Wave, A Boy and His Machine Gun, Fated, Prime Time Deliverance, Change of Season, The Ocean, The Rat Who Would Be King, House of Smoke and Mirrors, Weapon, Odette, Moon Over Marin and oh, so many of them. Foo Fighters - Everlong ( my favourite song of all time) and I know there's many more songs, I just can't think of much more than the MG ones.
  9. Man I can't get over it right now. A little while ago I listened to Fated and it blew my mind at how unbelievably, genuinely emotional Matt's singing is. It truly is the star of all the shows it has been involved in, by that I mean all his music. It's not that it was the first time I heard it but it just really hit the spot for me, like it almost always does I suppose. His vocals definitely do more for me then any other male singer I've ever heard and I don't think I could find more sincere, emotional male vocals if my life depended on it. I'm very glad that he did Moon Over Marin for the new record and love the way that he did it because it's another one that I love in a very similar way in that his singing is so particularly spectacularly emotional. I can't give you enough kudos Matt, you are one of a kind.
  10. I agree. It's a really cool unique song coming from them.
  11. Man, thanks a friggin' lot again for 15 Hours Ozzwald. The Ocean is fricking awesome. I really like it.
  12. Wow, you really couldn't have proven it better that you and I are the opposites when it comes to comedy tastes could you have? ;) First of all, you can't find anything funny about Seinfeld, then think That 70's Show is awesome and this one's the most blatant, are a fan of Trailer Park Boys. That show is exactly what makes this country only look worse show-wise and is a disgrace. I hate how so many Canadians think that show is even good and it has even gathered more fans from down south. It's a retarded show. Bubbles is the worst, no offence. But whatever you like.
  13. A while ago I would never have thought Audio of Being would have a chance against Beautiful Midnight but in the last year-ish I've noticed it getting a lot more praise than I thought. Easy question for me, Beautiful Midnight without thought.
  14. I most certainly won't be stepping foot into any of the shows in that poll. I may check out The Sarah Conner Chronicles even though I think it's dumb they're attempting a series out of it but I love the movies (1 and 2) so much I probably won't help but be curious. I'll probably be watching The Office and the obvious (to me anyway), Corner Gas.
  15. Unquestionably, no contest, Seinfeld. The only one that even comes close to threatening its position for me is Corner Gas. But that won't be for a while, a good while, if ever.
  16. Ridiculously overboard with its dirty humour but it was surprisingly quite a bit better than I expected. I really really enjoyed it. Definitely more funny than Knocked Up.
  17. All you need on torrent is Corner Gas and you should be fine. It is by far the best show in Canada's shallow history of good shows. Other ones deserving of mention that I've seen are This Hour Has 22 Minutes, SCTV (sometimes), The Red Green Show (sometimes), The Kids in the Hall (the few times when it's very good to great).
  18. Has anyone downloaded and listened to their latest release? If so, how is it? I'm trying to wait out for the hard copy and I'd like to know your thoughts?
  19. Could someone PM 15 Minutes or email it to me or whatever? Please.
  20. Same here. There's just way too many to mention. Many of the songs on Beautiful Midnight could be mentioned along with a few on Audio of Being, quite a few from Avalanche, already one or two from the newest and quite a lot from Underdogs. But Beautiful Midnight bar none has the largest amount of blow away tracks for me. But on the topic of Audio of Being, a song that I am getting the impression that is getting underrated in this thread that is absolutely amazing to me is The Rat Who Would Be King. I say that because I think I've only seen it mentioned in here once.
  21. Odette is one of my favourites on the album for sure, if not number one or two, and I think if people weren't stupid they would grow to love it, but knowing the radio it wouldn't go down well. It's too boring you say? Now does that mean you personally find it boring, or that it's just not single material? Because if you find it boring then I guess that means almost every song on the entire album is boring. The Devil's in Your Details is definitely the most musically interesting on the entire record and also one of my faves. I think it could be a great choice for radio but I'm not sure if I feel like it getting overplayed. Damnit, no wonder it's so appealing, Ryan Dahle plays lead guitar on it. That was awesome to read in the booklet. They should collaborate more often. Also, of course I'm a Window would work for a single and I think it could do very well. So I don't know, I think I'm a Window should be the next single.
  22. I don't understand the comments of pre AOB or MGB stuff not aging well. So you're basically saying alternative rock doesn't age well? I know great alternative rock doesn't get old or dry for me and Matthew Good has always had a lot of mellow, sometimes atmospheric elements in most of the albums he's been a part of. I don't see a reason why it wouldn't age well. Of course there is a lot of that classic 90's alt. rock in there but that's because within each sub-genre there's only so much you can do before the influences come flying around. But regardless of any typicalities Matt's persona and music has pretty much always had something very special to it as a whole and it and him should never be lumped into the same categories as some that they could be based on just the initial sound of the music.
  23. Does anyone know what Black Helicopter is about?
