  1. Matthew Good's name is recognized, because of the Matthew Good Band moniker, but is he famous, or some Canadian form thereof? No. WLRRR only shipped 50, 000 copies, good enough for gold status, his last Triple Platinum record was BM, which went Gold in 8 hours, it took WLRRR significantly longer to do the same.
  2. You do know Lions Gate Films is based in North Vancouver, BC, Canada right? Lions Gate is a Canadian company. As a side note, Aliance Atlantis is also based in Toronto, Ontario, as well, even though it had nothing to do with Crash, like Lions Gate, it's a Canadian company that releases a lot of films in the States that seem to do fairly well.
  3. Well I actually think the deal we got wasn't all that great. I mean, it's good when our economy is stellar like it is right now, but what happens when it goes sour? Then the tariffs return, and selling things at a low price is a good way to get back on your feet quick.
  4. I think if we wait, we'll get a better deal. The American Lumber industry is talking about looking for other sources of soft wood lumber if this deal goes through, I assume deal wise, so after the 34 percent cap was maxed out they still couldn't afford American lumber, so they would have to find somewhere else with cheap lumber.
  5. How is this a victory? Even the lumber industry is saying this is a bad deal. Anything less than what we had before would be a loss if you ask me. What the U.S. did went against free-trade, and they have lost on this issue before, Bush wasn't the first president to try this, so they shouldn't get away with this this time either.
  6. It probably made sense back in the early days of the Liberals but with telephones, and email and everything we have now, it doesn't make sense as much as it once might have.
  7. http://sympaticomsn.ctv.ca/servlet/Article...ood_deal_060426 I don't think this good enough, all the money should be returned and there should be no cap on this, NAFTA is on our side, we should just hold out until we get the best deal for us.
  8. I expected much of morrison this year because of the great year he had in the swedish elite league last season, I believe he leading the league in scoring at one point, and it was not like there weren't any elite NHL players in the league. I would like to see him go, as well as Bert. Park leaving is irrevelent because he was completely useless. I hope they keep Carney, Brown mavbe, but Weinrich should go. I hope they get Jovo back, but I have a feeling he wont be back. even though he screws up occasionally, i still think the good outweighs the bad. If Sakic is a free agent, they should sign him so he can finish out his career at home, centering Nassy and the replacement we get for trading bert. Crawford needed to go. Not that he's a bad coach, it was just time for a change. The question now is, who will replace him. I hope it isn't one of the current assistants, i wouldn't mind seeing them go either. I think they should look at Ted Nolan, the dude from Buffalo who won coach of the year and was then fired for no reason. Perhaps Brent Sutter, but he is rumoured to be heading for NYI. too bad Burke already snatched Randy Carlisle. Anyone got any ideas? Brent Sutter is going to stay coaching a Jr. Team for awhile longer I suspect. The team he coaches, he currently owns. His son also plays on that team, so I wouldn't be too surprised if he wanted to make sure his son develops into a NHL draft pick.
  9. I thought it was okay, but I think his previous two were better.
  10. I think the Tories work on a modified system too. Also I hear that members can vote for their delegation, I don't know how it exactly works though if at all.
  11. http://entertainment1.sympatico.msn.ca/Cel...detect=&abc=abc I really don't like that idea, I think if they are going to do a prequel they should just do an Enterprise movie...
  12. Well unfortunately how the current system works, if I am correct on this, is that a delegation is picked from each riding to go to the convention, and the delegations are the only people who can vote for the new leader. However, I am guessing there are other ways you can help out though.
  13. Actually the Party already has a pretty clear vision of where it's going to go, there is quite a lot of common ground between all the leadership hopefuls renewal strategy.
  14. Well from the looks of it, he's running more of a Progressive campaign with a slight mention of fiscal conservatism, so it's not quite the same as the current Conservatives. I think him or Dion would make excellent Liberal leaders though.

  16. I thought it was great. It all worked quite well actually. It was amusing while still making a point.
  17. Matthew Good released Beautiful Midnight? I was under the impression it was the Matthew Good Band...
  18. I enjoy the show, and I agree House is quite amusing.
  19. I think that this could actually work in their favour because their candidates could run more of a grassroots campaign, while there is still a leader to run a national campaign. I doubt they could win a majority majority, but they could win a minority majority.
  20. The Liberals already have a leader though, Bill Graham, he would lead the party if an election were called today until a new leader is picked. Also the Liberals have started the Renewal Commission, so it's not like they are in that bad of a spot as it is.
  21. However, when Joe Clark went down on the budget the Liberals swept back into power. It all depends on how good a campaign they run really, and with Bill Graham running the show, it could be different.
  22. I think the CD should have been acoustic, for some reason I think the demos sounded better than the album versions, except for "Nova Dashboard", that one still sounds awesome.
  23. I think that this could bring the government down because their solution isn't all that popular with the other parties. None of them can really support it unless they go against what they promised.
  24. You can hear at least some of it at his website, so it might be worth checking that out first.
