OMG, after years of G.W. Bush and his admin defelecting responsibility for the errors in the war on Iraq, and never firing anyone in the CIA or his admin for the WMD intelligence errors etc., Bush yesterday took personal responsility for some of the errors in the response to Hurricane Katrina. http://www.canada.com/windsor/windsorstar/...d7-42585feb66c3 I can't believe what i just read, after all the crap he keeps saying defending Iraq. Was Bush's spin-doctor on vacation when he said this or something?

yet another reason why all gas engines should be destroyed. -
C'mon people, whats with the personal attacks on Matt and calling him an "idiot" etc.? If you guys think you are such superior debaters, you'd know your arguments are fallacious because those personal attacks are an 'Ad Hominem'. You guys would get your point across a lot better if you avoided the name-calling. Why not just politely correct the guy when he makes an honest mistake?

Iron Maiden Vs. Osbournes
Moonlight_Graham replied to mrjones's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
I love Iron Maiden, and good for them! More reason to love them. I also like Sabbath and Ozzy, but i hate the rest of "the osbournes" with a passion. And Ozzy really is a walking drug-fried zombie now. He hasn't done anything good in at least 10 years. And that show was only a hit because Ozzy was so funny, those kids are spoiled loser-brats. -
Those are his nipples. (j/k bizud, couldn't resist)

People on this board are young. A lot of young people vote NDP. What else can you expect. Reminds me of a funny quote from Rudy Guliani i heard a few years ago. He's a Republican of course, but when asked if he was always a Republican he sayed no, and that when he was younger he was a Democrat. He then said "If you're not a Democrat in your 20's you have no heart, and if you're not a Republican by your 40's you have no brain". It was in mostly jest, i thought it was funny. (please save the obvious Bush comments) -
He's talking about a girl. So I've always thought that its means she's sorta not 100% happy, and the "sparkling spot" is that 'thing' inside everyone that makes them joyful, outgoing, happy etc. Y'know, their inner-spirit. Its like she hasn't come out of her shell yet, and the world has yet to see what a beautiful person she is because she keeps it inside. Maybe the guy sees how awesome she is, but she doesn

Politicians only care about Ontario and Quebec. After those votes are counted the West can go to sleep. Thats pretty sad. I've known about the threat of Western Separation for some time. They are really PO'd that they get crapped on out there. They geographically quite far from the centre of the Canadian universe (ie: Ontario and Quebec, and Ottawa of course). And power-wise they have little clout. Very unfortunate and i feel bad for them. We have such a dirty country politically. I have an aunt & uncle + cousins who live in B.C., and they say its much more "American" out there than a feeling of being Canadian. I can't really blame B.C. and Alberta. They are alienated, plus they are much more conservative-minded than Ontario/Quebec so they are politically shut-out federally. I really hope they don't separate, and don't think its likely. Quebec will go way before western Canada. Its just dirty politics. Its not like Canadians themselves don't appreciate westerners. I think Westerners would be suprised at how many people in my area think like most of them do. ie: tired of Liberal B.S., and a conservative movement.
