Picked up the album in the store and listened to it for the very 1st time last night. It definitely sounds different than any album he's done, that's for sure. A lot less raw than Hospital Music. Much more produced sound with many layers, and effects added to vocals etc.. Very radio/consumer friendly with a ton of pop-ish hooks and beats to the songs. The drums i find quite generic (not necessarily a bad thing, just more pop-like), & if I didn't know about the recording process i could have assumed most of the album was done with a drum-machine. Now i see why Matt said an acoustic tour for the album wouldn't fit. A few of the songs i remember from the demos (i haven't listened to the demos for at least 6 months as to not spoil the album) totally kick ass now, whereas the demo versions of the songs didn't really stand out for me. Two things i'm disappointed with is that Matt doesn't really showcase his voice much at all on the album. Not very many of those classic MG wailing belting of notes that puts a shiver up your spine. I found a lot of production technique of Matt singing on top of his own voice during a bunchof the songs, which is different than most of his past stuff. Another disappointment is 'Silent Army In The Trees'. I think the acoustic version just works better. Matt added a big drum beat with lots of production in the middle of the song. The drum beat part was actually really cool (kinda like 'While We Were Hunting Rabbits'), but IMO doesn't fit the message and tone of the song. The song sounds better and fits the mood of the lyrics better when stripped down. But anyways, pretty good album. I'll have to listen to it a bunch more to get a true feel for it. It's different for sure so i'll have to get used to the change in style, but overall i like it so far.

I haven't listened to any of the podcasts. I'm waiting for the CD to come out to listen to the album for the 1st time old-school style! Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All you people in British Killumbia want to do is murder people with bullets so u can be like your U.S. buddies. -
Viva Pinata: Trouble In Paradise is very similar to the 1st game. Its got some new Pinata's, new plants etc., but most of them are the same from the 1st game. Feels more like an expansion pack or a Viva Pinata 1.5 than a sequel. I'm bored of it already because i did play the 1st game a lot. The game isn't very expensive though (40 bucks new), so it may be worth checking out. It does get addicting though just like the 1st game!!

i can't choose, they both kind of stink. But i'll go with Born to Kill the underrated Underdogs songs: My Out of Style Is Coming Back vs The Inescapable Us
-
Symbolistic White Walls easy LOTGA pretty acoustics: Fearless vs She's Got a New Disquise
-
Girl Wedged Under The Front Of A Firebird - cuz its funny. battle of the WLRRR singles: Alert Status Red vs Been Awhile Since i Was Your Man
-
(btw folks, u don't have to use the winner of Vs you did when u pick the next 2 songs for the next person. but u can if u want i guess) Suburbia Apparitions vs Prime Time Deliverance

Never like the Castlevania's, NES-style or the newer ones PS1 style etc. But ya Super Metroid is a contender for best game ever easily. Probably not my #1, but its in my top 5. I remember renting Super Metroid when it 1st game out. I didn't like it that much, & i didn't like the NES Metroid either. Was probably too young for it at the time or something. But i gave Super Metroid a whirl when i DL'd in for my SNES emulator a couple of years ago and just got addicted. Metroid Prime was pretty good too, though all the scanning got annoying. Just bought Halo 3: ODST & gonna pop in in the tray.

;) excellent work my friend. -
Here's how the game works. The person above you will name 2 Matt Good/Matt Good Band songs, and you pick the one you like better. Then you name 2 songs for the next person to choose from. I'll start: Weapon vs Avalanche

The acoustic shows were amazing, and no need to stand. But i didn't plan on sitting down for the new tour. If everyone sits down i'll be PO'd.

Actually it makes total sense. The Constitution says there's a right to bear arms. Doesn't say anything about bullets! -
didn't like RE4, cuz i don't like horror games (which is weird because i love horror movies. I just hate games that have things jumping out at you from nowhere trying to scare you. Fucking annoying. Half-Life 2 was like that too. Shadow Complex demo was pretty good, not amazing though. Friggin hate the main character, i hate when they make characters of stereotypical joe-average young men with. Like the lead guy from Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Make these people interesting for pete's sake! But Super Metroid for SNES is one of my fav games ever so might buy it eventually.

Everyone i know says its a great flick. Maybe i'll watch it tonight! Haven't been watching many movies of late. Last i saw was The Wreslter, which lived up to the hype. 4/5 Stars. Also saw the original Planet of the Apes. Pretty decent. 3 stars.

Went to the Metallica concert last night. Got in line at 1:30pm (doors opened at 6pm) and there were already like 30-40 people already in line. It was actually a nice day, 18 degrees and in the shade so just worse tshirt and pants. Got colder as the day went on but found the perfect solution: if your arms get cold just bring them inside your t-shirt and hug yourself. haha I'm glad i didn't have to wear anything else like a jacket or anything, even around my waste because i was thrashing and screaming & singing the whole night and lost about 5 pounds of sweat. All my clothing soaked after from sweat. SAD BUT TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fucking awesome night. Metallica is my fav band ever, and been a fan since 1991 but never seen them before live (variety of reasons). Them and MG are my 2 fav musicians. Was a dream come true night. Even caught a pick that Kirk Hammett threw into the audience!!

K in my other thread i told yaz that i'm going to Metallica concert in Montreal this sunday at the Bell Centre. I got Floor General Admission tickets, so i'm gonna stand in line for 3-4 hours before doors open to gaurantee a prime and hopefully front-row spot on the floor. Never done this before, especially for a Metallica concert which will bring a good # of fans in line. It's going to be somewhat chilly outside & doors open 6 so sun will be starting to go down, supposed to be High of 19 celcius but sunny but could be 15 celcius near end of day. Question is: anyone got any tips for surviving a chilly line? Would people in line care if i asked the dude behind me in line to save my spot if i went back to my car to put away my jacket/sweater? would they get mad when i come back? At worst i could wear a hoodie and just tie it around my waste inside the concert (will get hot head-banging front-row at Metallica!), or buy a cheapo Giant Tiger sweater for $10-15 and just leave it on the ground outside when i go into the venue.
-
got front row centre in Kingtson! livenation.ca wouldn't let me buy tickets at 10am when selling started for some reason, so i called the venue and got sweet tickets, i think i was like the 2nd person to buy tickets there lol. Also got 4th row centre Orchestra in Ottawa. sucks there won't be 2nd show in Ottawa. Matt didn't leave much if any room between dates this tour to add second shows or even rest, odd.
-
Ya they got great voice-actors for that game. They got the original voice-actors from the Batman: The Animated Series for characters Batman, Joker (Mark Hamill!), Harley, and i'm sure others. Played the demo, it was pretty fun but i'm not going to buy it. Game is getting wicked reviews though. Right now playing Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise. Damn that is an addicting game, just like the original. Such an underrated series.

This Sunday i'm going to see Metallica at the Bell Centre in Montreal. I live in Ottawa. Plan is to leave Ottawa in the morning, drive the 2.5 hours, see concert, go home that night after concert. Never driven to Montreal before. Never driven a vehicle anywhere more than 1 hour outside Ottawa before actually, so kinda nervous. Friends have told me it's crazy driving in Montreal. One friend told me it would be better to park my car outside downtown Montreal and take the subway to the Bell Centre. I dunno. Oh yeah, gotta remember no right-turns on red lights, correct? Any advice?

CLARIFY: My "Sexy Women" film will be a full porno i've decided. I think i'll make this one on the side even if it loses cuz when i screen it i want to see the reaction of all the guys when they realize they just creamed their shorts to trannies. It would pretty cool if some of them tried to kill themselves.

Yes, welcome back friend. Hope you stay awhile.

Got some movie ideas, pick the best one. The winner will be made and screened in my basement.
