Personally i think Mac's are waaaaay overpriced for the hardware you get. If you buy a Mac you are either rich, stupid, a mega-super fan of Macs and can't live without one, or you NEED it for work/school because of some of the specific programs they use. My dad and I bought my mom a PC laptop for Xmas today for $599. Would have cost more than double for the same laptop if it were a Mac, which IMO is crazy. My friend also bought a Sony laptop a while ago because he and his family are big Sony fans. He's crazy because those Sony laptops are ridiculously overpriced as well, like $100-200 more than another comparable laptop from a good brand

Just found out that Shadow Complex is this week's "deal of the week" on Xbox Live. Can buy it for 800 points instead of 1200. Basically bucks off. Nice!

Agree, most definately one of my very fav songs on the album. Most songs on LOTGA are underrated IMO. Specifically, She's Got a New Disguise, Vermillion, Native Son, and Radio Bomb. Not much love for those last 3 songs. At least SWW, Fearless, and Omissions of the Omen get their due. Dude, upon further listen of this song you are so right! Great song!! I almost always have skipped over it because of the open riff which i don't like, but after the 0:30 mark in the song it just starts to kick ass. Wow, why have i ignored this song for so many years?? Yet another reason to love Avalanche! That's people for getting me to give this song another chance.

WORD! Totally agree. However, it is kind of nice to have assigned seats if you're on the floor so you don't have to wait outside for an hour or 2 to get prime seats. The size of Matt's fanbase means he obviously can't play full arenas, so theatres with assigned seats i guess i'll have to get used to.

Brittany Murphy always seemed like a crack-whore to me. You just watch the autopsy, i'm predicting death by crack/STD's. Anybody remember her as a cast member of the 90's sitcom "The Torkelson's" (aka "Almost Home"). Man she was hot then too.

Hobo, i think demographics, population, and urbanization have a lot to do with the differences in Oregon and Cali violent crime rates. A lot of big cities and Cali, which means ghettos which = crime. Also, 90% of all people in Oregon are white. In CA, only 60% are white. This isn't meant to be racist, just reality, but the browner your skin in the U.S. (and the world for that matter) the poorer you are likely to be. And one of the biggest (if not the biggest unless i'm mistaken) indicator of crime is poverty.

FINALLY finished Super Metroid for SNES (aka ROMS on my PC! hahaha). Been playing this off and on for like 3 years, finally finished it off. Man, what an epic ending. Such a great game, definitely one of the best i've ever played. Never liked the game as a kid when both this and the original game came out. Just too young for it then i guess. But now i'm hooked. Metroid Prime was pretty good but the series just shines in 2D. Gonna track down the original Metroid and the GBA games (Fusion & Zero Mission), and probably check out Shadow Complex as well.

Man, i think i might change my mind and actually buy one of those "I hear Matt Good fans are real assholes" t-shirts. When people go to a ROCK concert, and the best ROCK songs come on, it is entirely understandable - no - expected for people to stand up and start rocking out. You buy tickets for Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, you sit. You buy tix to Matthew Good with a full band, you stand. If you sit because you're too shy to stand when not many other people are standing either, thats totally understandable and i'm fine with that. But when someone else is standing up in front of you wanting to enjoy the rock concert and you tell them to sit down, then you are just a goddamn loser asshole. And to all you loser asshole MG fans, next time Matt goes on tour again either please respect everyone's right to rock-out or hit up this link instead.

Really? The album version is just so good, i have to disagree. But everyone is going to like one over the other because they are such completely different versions of the song.

Wow you got your pics on his personal Flickr page, nice. i was looking for Ottawa shots on the mgtour2009 page, thought thats where yours were too. That mgtour page is so unorganized its kind of frustrating. Wish it was organized by city or show. Don't worry Matt will surely do another acoustic tour in the near future, he always says he enjoys it. I liked the acoustic show i saw much better than the band ones, so much more personal, though they are both great of course!

I've done a bit of searching. I think there's 3 ways to see it: 1. On an IMAX screen in 3D 2. On a regular theater screen in 3D 3. On a regular screen, no 3D (just like any other movie). The only difference is in the IMAX 3D is you get stuff popping out at you in 3D on a big IMAX screen. The running time is the same on all versions so no bonus content.

The previews have looked cool, and James Cameron is one of the best directors in the biz. But didn't know if the movie was just hype of not, so i looked it up on rottentomatoes.com and its been getting very good reviews. I got the lighting guys' list, which just has spotlight reminders, but still awesome. Got a setlist last year too, had Matt sign it after the show!
