Matt's road crew are the nicest, most fan-friendly crew i've ever seen. The young roadie who does the stage after the show got me a pick at 2 different shows, and in Ottawa when someone asked for a pick before me he's like "here, i'll grab you a setlist too" and went and over and got Milos' list. The lighting guy was really cool too, gave me a setlist. Everyone just seems to be really humble on the road crew so far as i've seen, never seems like its a hassle for them to grab shit for fans unlike most roadie. Kudos. -

It was an ok show. Probably didn't enjoy it as much as Kingston because i had front row in Kingston and could stand up and rock out on the rail, but i still had great seats in Ottawa i was in the 3rd row. The volume wasn't quite loud enough, i could hear myself sing pretty easily, to the point where i didn't want to sing loud as people around could hear me & didn't want to disturb their show. Crowd was pretty loud, and matt had a great 5-minute anti-war rant. People started to stand up from the seats when Load Me Up came on. They stayed up for a few songs. Then they sat down during "On Night Like tonight", but a small amount of people kept standing including me. Then some bitch behind me tapped me on my leg and asked "are going to stand or sit? I can't see.". Obviously i was fucking standing, but my nice guy instincts me made say "sorry" and i sat down". then i thought to myself "fuck you bitch, i didn't come to a fucking rock concert to sit!!" So if the bitch in the 4th row is on The Bored you can go suck my fat monster cock you lazy bitch. Get off your ass and enjoy the rock show. Anyways, here's the actual setlist i got from the lighting guy: -

This is a rockin' idea! All established bands should do this! Am i the only one who'd love to hear Last of the Ghetto Astronauts all the way through? Probably. Avalanche and Audio of being it is then. Fuck i'd pay 50 bucks to hear While We Were Hunting Rabbits with an Orchestra live. -

Milos tossed his bass at the end of the Kitchener show too. i was kinda cool actually. Out of it? He seems asleep most of the time, thats just Milos. At least the bass thing was cool, showed some life from the guy. Maybe i'm too hard on Milos i dunno, everyone has their own personality. Agreed, Blake bring a lot of energy to the show. And ya Stu is great too. Matt didn't banter much at all during the Kitchener show either, like once or twice not very long. -

Thanks, thanks some good research. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJu5GRDJ5S0 I found this video on youtube showing when Matt did the above at Kingston's concert. It's hard to see, but as he's sitting you can see his left hand going up and down, telling everyone to stand up. Then everyone just goes ape nuts!! I'm the guy in the front-row in the bottom-left corner of the screen who stands up with both fists in the air right after Matt does this. yes i rock. I was DYING for this moment in the concert. I mean, i wanted to stand up and rockout so badly but everyone in the all the rows around me were sitting, and i came to the concert by myself so i was shy to stand up and help get the crowd going. if i had a friend with me i wouldn't have been shy to stand up. But once Matt gestured i like 'hell yaa!!". -

I can remember when i got my first 2400 baud modem. That's 2.4 kbps download speeds people. That was like mid-1990's. It was so awesome, cuz that was my 1st taste of the internet. i could go on Freenet sites and talk in chatrooms with people in florida, which was a CRAZY thing back then. And then go on BBS's and play those crazy text-based RPG games. I also remember when ICQ was the "cool" thing to be on. I remember when i used to masturbate to bra & lingerie ads in Sears catalogues & Zellers fliers etc. That was before the internet took off. Kids these days dont know how lucky they are. I remember, before google came alomng, when we had to use Yahoo and Dogpile.com as our search engines. I remember when it used to take 20 minutes to download a song off Napster. My friend had cable internet in his dorm at the time and told me that it only took him like 3-4 minutes to download a song, and i was totally blown away by this.

Today i went on google, and i googled the word "google" just for fun. Well it seems that this created infinite results back to me and it caused my PC to explode and it sent flaming parts everywhere. A bit of my carpet caught on fire from it. Then the google company called me and told never to do that again cuz apparently it fucked up their servers. Then Warren Buffet called me and said that it made the Dow Jones temporarily go down 3000 points. so basically what im saying is never google to the word "google". But i tried to bing the word "bing" and everything was fine so u can do that.

P.S. forgot to add that i got one of Matt's picks that were on his mic, one of the nice crew dudes got it for me!! I must say he was a nice guy for getting that, and giving a give in the front the setlist. I hate when roadies just ignore everyone. Lance was a dick last year. If anyone cares, Matt uses a light grey nylon .60mm Jim Dunlop pick. No special markings on it, the same as if you'd find at any music store (i personally hate those Dunlop nylon picks, they have leftover plastic all around the edges. i like the Tortex picks better, except they make your fingers black when the writing rubs off). This is essentially the exact same pick i got from matt: -

That guy is either the worst photographer ever, or he has the shittiest camera ever. Actually maybe he took the shots on his cellphone. But still, Jesus Christ fucking horrible pics! lol. And ya, Corm i hope you had a great time at the Kingston show buddy!! We love you bro and are all rooting for ya. I just got back from the Kingston show myself. Great show. Matt and the Band were on their game. It was my first show of the tour, going to see them in Ottawa on Dec. 11 too. I was in the front row, rocking out like a mofo...which was awkward because the rest of the crowd mostly sucked shit. It took them 4 songs to get their asses off their seats! During Load Me Up some people were standing but most we sitting, including the whole front row. So in the middle of the song during a part when Matt doesn't sing he went back and sat down in front of Blake the drummer and he just sat there for a few seconds, and now that i look back it was almost as if he was mocking the crowd. Then still sitting, Matt raised his hands up in a "get up" motion. That's when i stood up and yelled "YAAAAAAAHHH!!!!" with my fists in the air and everybody in the place finally stood up and stayed up for the whole show. Matt and co. proceeded to rock out. I'm glad Matt did the "get up off your asses" hand gesture to get people standing, because otherwise it would have been a lame concert. I just went to 4 Metallica concerts since September, so sitting down at a rock concert is just too fucking lame for me. I'm a rocker baby, and i was into every fucking song just signing and boppin' away. I think i was the only person in the venue who yelled "stick to it!" during Vancouver National Anthem lol, and i heard nobody singing "K-I-C-K-A-S-S..." between the encore. In my opinion, if you're at a rock concert and you aren't rocking out as much as the drummer is, then you're not rocking out enough. So ya fucking LAME crowd, but Matt and the band were great. Stuart and Blake are amazing, and bring a lot of energy to the show. I think Milos snuck in 2 naps while he played. The sound was awesome too. I saw the Matt & band last year in St. Catherine's and sound sucked dick, and Matt seemed exhausted, but this show was way better. Also impressed with Mother Mother, Matt seems to always have great opening acts (Dala, The Spades). Lots of hits during the setlist, but thats fine i expect that anyways and i like signing to them, they get the show rockin! Played lots of good 'Vancouver' songs. Cant wait for Ottawa! -

Wow thats awesome. A free concert on TV. Woohoo! -
Gandhi is pretty fucking awesome. The Dalai Lama, cuz he's such a down-to-earth guy with messages of peace. Even though i'm not that religious and he may or may not have existed, i'm inspired by many of the words/lessons of Jesus Christ. Those are 3 individuals who have been oppressed in different ways, have had violence put onto them, yet remain dedicated to peace towards their fellow man. I also like Jesse Ventura cuz he's the only politician who says it like it is (whether u agree or not). James Hetfield is probably the coolest person in the world, and he and Kirk Hammett are my uber gods of guitar that have hugely inspired my playing.

fuck. thats the thing i hate about some of his films. The first half of Death Race was just useless talking about nothing. The 2nd half was awesome. I like the Kill Bill films. No over-indulgent needless talking, just good pacing and fun. btw, i watched Pulp fiction for the 1st time like 2 years ago. It was ok. Didn't blow me away at all. But it was a good solid flick. I just don't see what all the fuss is about.

Generation X-Wing (rooms) won, WTF?? Advertising on Police Cars A Long Way Down Vermillion She's Got a New Disguise Empty's Theme Park (2 good songs) Blue Skies Over Bad Lands Annabelle Hello Time Bomb North American For Life (but they're both just awful - agreed!) Rico has a really good chorus, so i don't totally mind the song. But the the beginning guitar riff is so annoying, and the verses sound like shit too.
