how much can you buy a copy of lofi b sides
Jessafur replied to Taylorisnepoose27's topic in Matthew Good
You can spend as much as you can afford haha. I think for the cd they usually go for ~50 bucks, but you can find them cheaper if you're patient. I would just watch on ebay and discogs- 1 reply

Dude I still haven't even received the record
-
God I really wanna get that still, it was the only reason I did the VIP that year
-
I won't lie, I forgot that was even a thing that was meant to exist. Maybe the plan was to wait until everyone forgot?

The first song is Annabelle (a non-album single) and the second song is Go Fly Blind (from the Left of Normal demo cassette).

Limblifter and Acres of Lions tonight! My fave local band and one of my fave Vancouver bands playing together is a dream duo. I'm honestly so surprised this happened but I couldn't be happier. Acres were fantastic as usual and Limblifter is just about to hit the stage now. I'm seeing Matt on Sunday too which should be fun! It'll be nice to see him with a backing band again! Then the day before my bday I'm seeing The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie with my dad. May is a very full and very good month for concerts haha.

Just got an email announcing the 2024 full band tour. Looks like VIP packages are gonna include something rather special this time around, definitely curious to know what that cassette has on it.
-
Oh my god, those cleaned up so well!! I guess you'll be doing the Rodchester Kings cassette too then eh?

My link in there is I think the most up to date so you should just need to look for that. It should be on one of the most recent pages.

Anyone know why the Matt Good subreddit went private?
Jessafur replied to crthiel's topic in Matthew Good
That's absolutely disgusting. None of the victims have claimed to not know Matt, they all have had real experiences with him. I don't know what kind of "evidence" you want that hasn't already been shown (emails, leaked DMs, him being dropped by Warner and his management). Look, it's fine if you want to continue to support Matt and listen to his music; no one's saying that you can't. It's not fine however, to belittle the victims like this. It's callous and unnecessary. I seriously hope that you think about why you're so reluctant to believe that even one of these stories could be true. Even if 99% of these allegations were false, that 1% being true should make you rethink what kind of a person Matt was behind the curtains. -

I've waited a long time before speaking my mind on this, but I just want to chime in with what little I have to offer. One of the few interactions I've had with Matt still irks me a little. In the grand scheme of things it's really minor, but it affected me nonetheless. It's from the comments section of a Facebook post from over a decade ago. I was only 14 at the time when I made the comment, and my profile photo was very obviously that of a little kid. Looking back at the way I worded that comment I can see how he would have thought I was trying to be rude, but I genuinely was saying that it was kind of him to offer an insight to the making of the album. Regardless of my intentions, the fact that he would lash back at a 14 year old on a public comment section still kind of shocks me. And apparently I'm not the only young person he did something like that too. There's a twitter post someone made last year before this was all happening wherein they mentioned that when they were 15, Matt shit over their music because they made a passing criticism of the string parts on one of Matt's songs. I don't know about you, but if that's the way that he treats some of his younger fans when he thinks they've shown a bit of back talk, then I have to imagine that in all likelihood much of what he is being accused of is true, at least in part. Matthew's music will likely always hold a place in my heart, but I don't think I'll ever be buying another one of his LPs. Some of the comments on here have also been very disheartening to read. The reactions some of the people here have shown are why it is hard for people to come forward in the first place. I've debated posting this for days knowing that I'm going to just get laughed off for letting his interaction with me have the sort of impact it did. I'm fully anticipating that people are going to tell me that I shouldn't have been holding on to this comment for 10 minutes, let alone 10 years. As an adult I would agree, but as a child even simple words like that can hurt a lot - and those words came from my hero. The comment no longer leaves me upset but it does leave the same sour taste in my mouth that these other allegations now do. I doubt I'll be posting on here for a while, but I'll probably lurk as this all unfolds. Wishing you all the best during these times. -
Happy new year to you Anton! Thank you for everything that you've done for the community over the years!

Grabbed a pair for myself and my dad. 20$ CAD each for me. Great price for 2 hours of music!

Looks like Matt is planning to do some live stream concerts in the future. This could be interesting!

Ah, my mistake! Thanks for correcting! -
Wow, I'm in love with the Subversive Literature art (and a nice Radio Bomb callback too)! Really puts my custom art to shame haha. Thank you so much for sharing these with us!

Ryan also does vocals on Vancouver National Anthem if I remember correctly. I'm sure there is other work that the two have worked on that we've forgotten as well. -
I saw this on Matt's Insta and thought I'd share it. As much as I want to see him (bought two tickets and two VIP tickets for Victoria), I really think it would be better for himself and for everyone else if he postpones. It's not worth the risk. Victoria just announced its first case yesterday, but one person being confirmed means that there could be who knows how many infected, and on an island where nearly 20% of the population are over 65, things could get rough really quickly if it spreads. Maybe he can do a skype "tour" from his him haha. **from his house tried to edit that post on three devices and it won't change ?

Hi there! Yes, both are still in existence, although the store has not been updated for a while. Welcome back to The Bored!
-
I've got tickets and VIP for both Victoria dates and bought my dad a ticket to the Nanaimo show as well. So thankful to have a job that will both allow me to afford and attend these shows. Two years ago there'd be no way of me seeing him twice, let alone VIP twice!

No, that one was the animated music video. I'm not sure what the one Bit was referring to is but it wasn't the In A Coma one.
-
Its very strange, isn't it? I don't get why he chose that venue either. Royal McPherson and Alix Goolden must have already been booked.
-
I quite enjoyed it. I haven't seen a music video of his that used lighting this well in a while, it was very refreshing to see. I noticed that the description says the album is called "Moving Walls". It's an interesting title and I'm curious to know how that plays in to the broader context of the album.

I hope it is, this track sounds like how I wish some parts of Something Like A Storm sounded (I'm looking at you She's Got You Where She Wants You).
