  1. Trying to sing the studio version of Avalanche can be pretty difficult around the 4:40 mark just because of the weird vocal effects he put in. Lyric wise, I always screw up the words to 99% of Us is Failure when he sings "Black bird come at the break of dawn" I always skip ahead and sing "Black bird come at the break of day".
  2. Thanks. I felt like I was cheating Matt for torrenting that song since I couldn't purchase it.
  3. Far enough that I get famous, but not Superstar famous. You know what, any fame is bad fame these days it seems what with all the hate on the internet, so thats a tough question. How often do you think about the afterlife?
  4. I recorded and uploaded this song to soundcloud a few days ago. Not the greatest quality ever, but it's not unbearable. Any feedback is welcome and appreciated. I will hopefully be doing more songs, but first I need a new mic. The one I have now is just a mic from RockBand2, so getting a new one I think will bump the quality up a fair bit. Other things I used include : Yamaha APX 500 Acoustic Guitar Rocksmith Guitar Patch Cord/USB Cable Mixcraft 5 Hope you enjoyed it, and if you didn't, you are entitled to your own tastes and I take no offence to that. Thank you. ~Jess Lyrics: (Verse 1) I have walked upon this shore before I know its sands so well The oceans tide in sunsets light Bids me farewell (Verse 2) The parking lot atop the hill Is paved with broken dreams And memories that once were sweet Now bitter seem (Chorus) And as night turns to day I remain to stay the same And if light fades away Then there is nothing left to blame (Verse 3) Its been four years since I was home The times have seemed to change Familiar scenes from my hometown Have left this mountain range (Verse 4) The starry sky above the clouds Has lost most of its glow And if it never shines half as bright Thats all I need to know (Chorus) That as night turns to day I'll remain to stay the same And if light fades away Then there is nothing left to blame (Verse 5) I have walked upon this shore before I know its sands so well The sky it fades a darker red Becomes a make-shift Hell
  5. Right now I'm playing some really old racing games from the 90s (The first Need For Speed games). Also just started what I think is one of the most poorly translated roms ever. Pokemon Crystal in Vietnamese translated to Japanese then to English. It is so bad. Here is an example :
  6. Matthew Good - House of Smoke and Mirrors Matthew Good Band - Sort of a Protest Song Both of those songs give me the chills each time I hear them. Great melodies and arrangement in both songs that are perfect for closing an album.
  7. I've always enjoyed owning physical copies and originals. Just something about being able to hold in my hands that makes it seem like it's worth more to me. The fact that it was on In a Coma and that I already owned In a Coma didn't bring the sense of actually owning those songs to me. I then found a Red copy at a local shop for 20$ and bought it for my Dad for Christmas (along with one of Matt's books). When I was holding that copy in my hand it felt as if I really did have those songs. That to me was worth the 20$. But then again, that's just me.
  8. I remember that. I wish he would have shown us what he had recorded with that. Anyways, here is the Rabbits download. Like I said it isn't the greatest quality (this was the first concert I tried to record). http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PGLOOPD4
  9. 1. The Ocean 2. LotGA 3. Second Sun I really wish Matt didn't hate those songs, because I would love to see him preform The Ocean live.
  10. If you do redo it, you should also include the demos from Cold Harbor like We Are A Place and For and Against.
  11. I have a very low quality bootleg of the whole Victoria concert. The only one that didn't get completely ruined was Rabbits. It still isn't the greatest, but I could upload it on something.
  12. I'll do the one from each album thing also. Demo Tapes: Sleep Mercy Misses You Entresol Blue Bird A Better Pain Studio: Every Name Is My Name So Long Mrs. Smith Change of Season (For LoFi BSides I guess it would be) Fated Failing The Rorschach Test My Life As A Circus Clown I, The Throw Away Song For The Girl Dusk (It's not that it's underrated. It just isn't known all that well) The Boy Come Home The Boy Who Could Explode Extraordinary Fades
  13. Can we share the new websites URL? Or is that going too far?
  14. A complete list of songs he demoed: A Little Something To Fall Asleep To A Short Time On Earth All The Time In The World All You Sons And Daughters cr. Darling Dawn Die Like Kings Extraordinary Fades For And Against Homecoming Hornets (Rock Version) Hornets (Horns Version) Hornets (Instrumental Horns Version) Hornets (2nd Rock Version) How It Goes I Once Saw A Magician Cut You In Half In A Place Of Lesser Men Lights Of Endangered Species Non Populus Set Me On Fire Shallow's low We Are A Place What If I Can't See The Stars, Mildred? Zero Orchestra Info: "A Little Something To Fall Asleep To" became "We Are A Place" when he extended it and added lyrics. "All The Time In The World" is an evolved version of "A Short Time On Earth". "Die Like Kings" is an evolved version of "All The Time In The World". "cr." is a song loosely based off of the Hawaii Five-O theme song. "Homecoming" became "Shallow's Low" after Matt's daughter was singing the chorus to "Homecoming as 'We're all shallow's low' instead of 'We're all going home'. "Dawn" and "I Once Saw A Magician Cut You In Half" merged to form "Lights Of Endangered Species". "Lights Of Endangered Species" is the album name. "What If I Can't See The Stars, Mildred?" has been re-written the most, changing a line in a verse or the entire bridge.
  15. I downloaded the new Patrick Stump EP Truant Wave from iTunes. It was 2.99$ for 6 songs!
  16. Wow, that's pretty good. How long did it take to make it?
