Most bands can't duplicate what they do on cd.
Usually, if they're better in concert, that means that they aren't too great of a band.
^and no, that's not a contradiction.
Scott Weiland is more versatile than any of the singers here...buuut not really from the Grunge Scene (even though Core does get thrown in).
Like I said before, considering age, Frogstomp and Freak Show are pretty solid but the latter two albums just blow them away.
I'll add this:
If we weren't speaking of the grunge era, I would give it to Chris Cornell. Euphoria Morning (Cornell's '99 solo album) has some of the best vocals in my entire cd collection.
But if we go by the grunge era only...then Eddie Vedder.
Three single wonders maybe...but in my books, they don't have any hits. Even if Muchmusic puts them #1 on the countdowns (which they have) but that's because they'll overplay any overally accessible canadian rock band.
