  1. Don, Aman - Slint Absolutely godly band.
  2. Bad Shit - Porno For Pyros
  3. Radiohead has to be the "coolest" band of all time.
  4. Oh they played. I'm not sure where your mind was at the time. It was the first ever show where I actually brought ear plugs (as my ears are already permanently damaged) but it made the experience even more enjoyable. Why would I even mention this? I haven't a clue.
  5. Funny thing. I got around from what I was doing and I actually made it to the show. Isis were terrific. Mare were probably the loudest thing I've ever seen (did they really need five amps?) and the opening band was pretty cool instrumental band. Are you going to the Pelican show?
  6. Three extremely refreshing covers. That man can sing. Especially Radio Bomb...better than the original.
  7. The single is absolutely terrible. Twice Removed is where its at.
  8. Flight Recorder From Viking 7 - Stevie Mac
  9. The singer is the most depressing man I met in my life.
  10. Oh, Chino is horrible live.
  11. I'm resurrecting this failed thread. Wow, I just listened to early Placebo and oh my does it ever blow their newer stuff away. Very impressed. They're a lot edgier and raw than I expected. Pretty underrated band. Also, Pure Morning is a bad representation of the band. I never really got into them in the past because I thought that was just decent but hey, shows what I know. To make a modern connection for you guys, they sound like early Muse to me. Excuse me while I plan to pick up all of their albums.
  12. Frances did not? I was under the impression that they had to leave out the title track (which is great, by the way) because they ran out of space on the cd. I think they might've fit it in if they'd used less of the filler between tracks, which can get annoying. I usually skip through it anyway. How come they never use 80 minute cds for commercial releases? Really looking forward to hearing Amputechture, I'm getting it on Saturday. Yeah I think he meant that there isn't any wasting of time with interludes between the tracks like on Frances. Never really thought of it but yeah, Amputechture goes the whole way without really going into nothingness. While I say that, I still like Frances The Mute the most.
  13. I can't make it to the Isis show this Sunday at The Underground in Hamilton. I paid $16 something for the ticket over a week ago and I assume the show is nearly sold out (my ticket number was 233/300). Any offer will be looked upon. Please note: Isis is an outstanding band live--be prepared to be blown away by their musicianship. They're kinda sludgy- ambient-metal with a lot of raw emotion. Pure talent and would be a hell of a show.
  14. Do you realize?? - The Flaming Lips
  15. To me, depressing songs make me happier. So I do not know how I would answer this.
  16. Judging by the front cover on the new cd, they're going to another Around The Fur.
  17. Compared to a lot of the music out right now, yay.
  18. The new album is great again. They can do no wrong.
  19. I'm listening to a cd right now so I don't want to disturb the flow or anything. But I'm a big STP/Filter fan so I'll can back to you.
