the new single is sick...literally.

I haven't heard this yet but I would like to outright say right now that I enjoy Euphoria Morning more than ANY Soundgarden release. But over the years of Audioslave, Cornell's voice has declined SO dramatically that I'm afraid to hear this. Also, the first single sucks.

Maybe not to you and I but I know for a fact that casual fans tend to listen to artists who has similar personality traits or tendencies to that person. By watching Dallas Green sit on a stool with his prescription-less nerd glasses and spiffy clothing designs, the viewers can "relate" to what he is feeling and to a psychological effect, can automatically respect and appreciate what he is doing.

Worst musician in the last 15 years. He has the vocal range of someone who sings regularly at local bars for drinks and spare change. I hate alexisonfire wish a passion but sadly, I think I'd rather listen to that than his sappy and over-the-top tripe. IF it wasn't for Alexisonfire or his ridiculous fashion sense, you think people would support this guy? To sum it up, Dallas Green is BORING...just because the guy wears glasses and "sings from the heart" doesn't make it automatically passable--even though, I highly doubt that he would have any meaningful experiences that would even deem him the right to carry on with this "act" and write cliched acoustic rock with no substance at all.

the new album is awesome! Volta has a middle-eastern twang to it with her trip-hop/electronica groove to it...not to mention that she's probably the best female vocalist.

I love how the only song I have heard is Black Helicopter and I want to keep it that way.

I guess I should be interested in Matt Good again as he has a new single out.

Yeah...it's between Mechanical Animals and Holy Wood for Manson's best album but gotta give it to Animals. It's too bad that Hum will only be remembered as "one single wonders"...Stars was a minor hit that should have done more damage.

Self titled is their most underrated album that also includes their most underrated track by far and away: Exhausted.

Yeah Downward Is Heavenward is out of this world. Tell me an album better than that from 1998.

I know my threads with me suggesting bands never get received well but how many of you are familiar with the band Hum? When I first heard them years ago, I thought they sounded like the Smashing Pumpkins as their guitar work does have a Siamese Dream feel to it but now I see them as a mellow version of Isis with a ton of distortion. Vocally, the closest comparison I can make is that he resembles is that of Dinosaur Jr. in a sense of limiting the range of his vocals to the lower registers and not singing very loudly. Either way, I guess I would call this shoegaze with the edginess of '90s alternative rock. This is the kind of band that with repeated listens, you hear different elements that maybe didn't catch you the first time around but it really gets to you after a while. Hell, You'd Prefer An Astronaut and Downward Is Heavenward are just about my two favourite albums in my collection. Yay or nay?

Saw these guys perform with Isis and Zozobra the other night and I think they stole the show. They sound a lot like the band Hum to me-- very atmospheric textures with a ton of guitar feedback. They're like My Bloody Valentine but with 3x the heaviness. Too cool.

Oh the new album is so awful. Even though Paralyzer is lame, I thought the new album was actually going to sound different but holy hell, I didn't think an album could be that generic. It's pretty much 'One Thing' repeatedly...they're in the pop/rock category now. Not sure what they are trying to prove.
