  1. They should have never re-united in the first place. Matt Sharp >>> that band anyway.
  2. Ha, one guy from last year copied a whole ton of albums from my PC on the residence server. Nothing wrong with that at all but he could have at least conversed with me or even (dare I say?) thank me.
  3. It's a great album. Probably more similar to Frances The Mute as a whole but it's easily worth the purchase. I'm not sure where to rank it with the others.
  4. You guys can do better than Billy Talent.
  5. If I knew I was going to get so many uninformative, jackass votes for singles, then I would have left them out completely.
  6. I can't say I'm really anticipated at all if these tracks will be on the new disc.
  7. Decent song. Though, if this was a 1993 song from the History Teacher sessions, none of you would have given a shit about it. He needs to stay away from acoustic rock territory and still to having a full band around him--some of these demos are really worrying me.
  8. Why in the right mind would he do that?
  9. You're the one who listens to Billy Talent, Alexisonfire, and all of those interchangable bands!
  10. Prior to coming to Near Fantastica, I have never in my life heard anyone get mixed up between Matthew Good Band & Dave Matthews Band. Due to this, there is an uncalled-for negative feedback against Dave Matthew's music here. I'll admit that I wasn't much of a DMB fan in my youth but if you are a fan of strong muscianship with obscure instrumentation (not really the new stuff though), you'll love this band--not to mention that Dave Matthews isn't subpar with his vocals at all. Before These Crowded Streets was a fantastic release from the band but they have slightly went downhill from then on with each release. Agree? Disagree? Don't care? Yes, I spelled unnecessary wrong in my subtopic. Kill me.
  11. I'm just going to change it around a bit and list some of the most underrated alternative/rock singles of the 90s: Lady Picture Show - Stone Temple Pilots Lakini's Juice by Live Blow Up The Outside World - Soundgarden Welcome To The Fold by Filter Over Now - Alice In Chains It's Alright - Candlebox Angels Of The Silences - Counting Crows Pyschopomp - The Tea Party Don't Drink The Water - Dave Matthews Band Andromeda - Zuckerbaby Razorblades and Bandaids - Econoline Crush Sometimes It Hurts - Stabbing Westward Last Cup Of Sorrow - Faith No More Rain Will Fall/Raspberry/All Awake - I Mother Earth Villains - The Verve Pipe Stars By Hum Sister - The Nixons (this song is completely forgotten) The Good Life - Weezer Who Are You?/In Hiding - Pearl Jam Strange Currencies - R.E.M. Staring At The Sun - U2 My Friends - Chili Peppers both Ava Adore/Perfect - The Pumpkins Friend Of Mine - Treble Charger On top of that, I currently have Leave It Alone by Moist playing and that song owns.
  12. This is supposed to be a benefit?
  13. Ah, late 1996. Good tune--muchmusic used to kick ass back then.(just to be an ass, it's "Someone who's cool") How about Stars by Hum? (not that bloody Canadian band Stars)
  14. One of my friends encouraged me to listen to The Ugly Organ and I was highly unimpressed. They just sound like Brand New with an organ player (with the ocassional use of strings). By the way, I'm sure Cursive came out before Brand New but I could care less. These emo-related bands are useless--a year in a half down the road, you'll regret listening to any of these shitty bands.
  15. www.beatgoeson.com if you want to dig deep into the 90s.
  16. Lost in the plot was a rocking song but the rest of No Cities Left...I actually can't remember. I sold that a while ago.
