  1. Pathetic band. Does anyone even like these french canadian bands (Projet Orange included) besides Muchmusic (because of their CANCON agreement (60% Canadian material)), and that fact that they're trying to appeal to the francophone audience who wouldn't watch Musiqueplus because it isn't cool to like straight up french music.
  2. Best Way To Die - Jet Set Satellite
  3. Great song, especially for being the fourth single. Toadies - Possum Kingdom
  4. Weighty Ghost - Wintersleep Nice job with the board advertising this band. If I see them in a record store, I would buy for sure.
  5. Thanks for the concert. They sound a lot like Pearl Jam! Wait, aren't they touring with Pilate? I think it might be worth going to a show. waaait a second: [From the ticketmaster site:] Canceled Pilate Cowboy's Ranch London, ON More Infocurrently not on sale
  6. Hated that song even when I was a kid but it wasn't bad as their second single, "feelin' alright". Freak Of The Week - The Marvelous Three
  7. Dreams of Reason - The Tea Party
  8. What if one dislikes the beatles? *gasps*
  9. The end is the beginning is the end - The Smashing Pumpkins
  10. Treble Charger started to chart into pop-punk territory with that song but wide awake bored as a whole was not bad. any song? Volvo Driving Soccer Mom - Everclear
  11. Good covers: Nirvana's The Man Who Sold The World [bowie] (call me trendy) Weezer's Velouria [Pixies] Yes, Rufus Wainwright's version of Across The Universe Faith No More - War Pigs [teh Sabbath} and probably the best one: Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah [Leonard Cohen] Decent covers: Gob's version of Paint It Black [teh stones] Goldfinger's version of 99 Red Balloons [Nena] Orgy's Blue Monday [The New Order] Stabbing Westward's Bizzare Love Triangle [The New Order] Bad covers: I can't think right now. But the new Between The Buried And Me cover cd should go to hell. An additional note: I know we'll get a lot of these, so I'll say right now that Limp Bizkit's version of "Behind Blue Eyes" is better than The Who's version--at least it doesnt have that horrible guitar solo.
  12. July 11th, 2006 for the US and July 3rd in the UK. Judging by how the latest albums from Silverchair and Idlewild were released, this cd will come out in Canada on the 4th.
  13. He would never be invited as a guest anymore. Why would he want to go?
  14. Whenever I describe them to people I say indie rock with a vocalist that sounds like a cross between Adam Duritz from Counting Crows and Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam. Guess I better blindly purchase it then.
  15. If I ever ate The Raconteurs, I'd have to put some seasoning on it. They're way too bland.
  16. How can you possibly talk about 'real rock' in this post, and then say you hate Zeppelin and like Nickleback in others? *head explodes* If I HAD to choose, I'd rather listen to Nickelback than Led Zeppelin. I guess that doesn't help things much.
  17. Anyone else get the chance to listen to the new Muse album? I'll tell you one thing is that it's pretty different--apparently, the band did a lot of "clubbin'" over the past few years (I kid you not) and they decided to add "club techno" into their style. I would say that overall, I was pretty impressed but I'm not sure if it's better than Origin Of Symmetry or Absolution. It's nice to see bands take risks, that's for sure. I would rather have a band alienate their audience by trying something radically different than to recreate an album already made in their discography, *cough* Tool.
