  1. For me it says that the user has blocked it in my country which is Canada.
  2. Thanks for your 2cents! :) When it comes to interpretation, it's always good. But I'm not English speaking in everyday life so I thought there was maybe an expression I wasn't aware of. I know he used it on one of his picture from the 2007 era. In the background was a white paper that read "Fuck or fight" (an expression that doesn't seem to mean anything that has anything to do with the song).
  3. Pardon my ignorance but what does "fuck or leave" mean? It surely does not mean "Have sex or leave" does it?
  4. This is awesome! I wanted to see this "Gonna meet a rockstar" again since it played the first time! This is blocked though:
  5. I remember in 2004, the demos to some songs from Avalanche, namely Pledge of Allegiance, Weapon, In a World Called Catastrophe and Double Life, were leaked on the Web. Does anyone have those still? Also, if anyone has the demo version of Non Populus, I'd like to hear it now compared to the final version. Thanks
  6. I second Tracy here. A couple of days ago I thought "Wow, how happy would he be if he could see that his name was mentionned with so much love from Matthew Good on his official website". This whole thing is awefully sad. I hope you do read this. I wish you and everyone who knew him all my deepest sympathies. Furthermore I want to thank you for this update. You had no obligation to do it and yet you took the time to update us on a very personal matter. So again, thank you so much.
  7. It's for the european release which has two discs. The second disc is most of Rooms as well as "Strange Days" and "True Love Will Find You In The End" from Live at Massey Hall.
  8. Oh dear! This is horrible news! Rest in peace Chris! :(
  9. Wow! Then it's even more impressive! :)
  10. You did a great job. Were those pictures taken by you or were they stock? But again, great job! :)
  11. This is pretty good! The person who did this really understood the lyrics and put them perfectly in images!
  12. It's definitely in my top favourite songs by Matt. I love everything about it, the lyrics and melody of course but also the simplicity of the intrumentation.
  13. Well the first two chords are very reminiscent of A Boy and His Machine Gun but other than that I don't hear anything similar. :)
  14. Obviously I didn't mean personal influence as in I would not have listened to this or that if it hadn't been approved by Matthew Good... I meant influence on the RECORD collection... which means you didn't know about a band or never heard a band and the fact that Matt talked about them or brought them on the road made you discover the band... obviously...
  15. Bimbly: don't worry, it happened to me too and I'm sure a lot of fans. I was a teenager at the time so easy to influence :P
  16. Yeah I agree for Agoraphobe. It was better as a demo WITH Matt. I have an MP3 version of the demo with Matt and without Matt combined. I sent it to Ryan through MySpace at the time and he said he enjoyed it.
  17. Thanks ;) Yes I did like those but never got to listen to the whole album. Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely check it out! My only beef are the strings in Agoraphobe. But Ryan Dhale is definitely a very talented and underrated artist! Anyhow, I personally prefer The Colour of Spring by Talk Talk. But I remember hearing Extraordinary Fades and thinking of April 5th by Talk Talk.
  18. It just dawned on me the number of records or songs I now own because of Matt. For instance, after LOES I went and got The Colour of Spring, Laughing Stock and Spirit of Eden by Talk Talk (Extraordinary Fades would fit perfectly on Spirit of Eden). Looking at what I have in my music collection, I have a lot of them: Dala Rooftop by Melissa McClelland Hurt by Johnny Cash The Best of Bob Dylan The Best of Mozart I/O by Limblifter Agoraphobe and Eek it's Halloween by Ryan Dhale Plans by Death Cab for Cutie Best of Depeche Mode, Ultra and Exciter by Depeche Mode Girl in the War by Josh Ritter Death to the Pixies Anyone else?
  19. Love will Tear us Apart was on the last tour I believe. This time it's not the same thing (although it is as catchy)
  20. Thanks! Yes I was referring to the Live Road recording in Calgary. I thought they were playing an existing song. I did hear it on the last tour as well as Manchalivin said. I also heard them play that song and fade it into Walking On The Moon in that part of Load Me Up too on the last tour or the one before. That's why I thought it was an existing song. It's pretty good, Matt should do something with it! :D
  21. What's the song that the band plays in the middle of Load Me Up?
  22. Gomo: Yeah but that was 10 years ago and on another label. I somehow feel he does what he wants now. I may be wrong but with the last records he's released I don't think the label has as much input.
  23. Matt I think we're all pretty sold to you playing live wether acoustically or not. So you can be damn sure that if you release whole shows it's a yay! ;) One thing I do this is great is your setlist still changes regardless of the limited number of songs you can play with a band.
  24. Oh sorry I mixed those two... (Revenge and Sharks of Downtown).
