  1. Awesome! How d'ya know?
  2. AnOceanPearl: Is that a fact of a rumour? I've asked Matt twice on Facebook who's playing on it to no avail.
  3. Weird question I know and I'm posting this in the Matthew Good forum because it's specific to MG. Any drummers here who tuned their drum heads to sound like MG live? I'm quite new at drum tuning and I'm wondering how I can do it. Thank you!
  4. Thanks for indirectly answering ;-) The live version of Load Me Up will it be the one that Christian played on or a more recent version? That reminds me, I remember you said you were never fond of the riff on Load Me Up which is why Christian played it differently. I preferred the latter as well. Why did you go back to the original?
  5. This may be a dumb question but an album of your favourite songs of yours or in general? I'm asking since you played Motorway to Roswell acoustically recently.
  6. No it was not me. I chose Tips as a reference to MG's username on old message boards like on runningforhome.net and nationofcool.com. And I'm not MG :P
  7. Dan #2: Both tracks were actually recorded for The Audio of Being and cut from the record in the months prior to the release. But the first official tracklisting for The Audio of Being had 14 songs including Pony Boy and All Together. The versions that leaked back in 2004 were the unmixed versions not demos. But given that both songs were officially released with In a Coma (Pony Boy on the CD and All Together as an iTunes bonus track) maybe he'd have an answer :) prototypepariah: Yeah I though of that too. But the sentence itself doesn't stick for me. A brief history: All Together was cut off because Matt felt it could have been better and that this song was captured much better with "I, The Throw Away". Pony Boy was demoed by Matt and Ian betweet Beautiful Midnight and The Audio of Being. When it was re-recorded for AOB, Matt felt he failed to capture the same vibe as the demo which I believe was lost.
  8. We never had any official lyrics for All Together or Pony Boy. The unofficial lyrics read "A whole life to get perfect bliss". But I hear "A whole life to get perfectless" which I think is a pretty cool lyric. Same with Pony Boy. The unofficial lyrics read "I breathe it's just a mistake" which makes no sense to me. I always thought it was "Our breed is just a mistake". Same with "And I'm a Pony Boy, I'm a Pony Boy". I thought it was "Down with Pony Boy, I'm a Pony Boy". What do you think?
  9. So ever since I heard the demo for A Short Time On Earth, I though it might be about Geoff. "Tell the lady it's all over" - His wife "Stop the clock and lock the door" - When a great tragedy occurs, you remember where you were and what you were doing "Sit and listen to old records Wonder why there ain't no more" - Listening to the first MGB records and thinking that they should have kept on working together "Well out here I spent all my days and nights A hurricane hitting shore" - Not sure about this one "Sometimes I feel like I don't know my life Like you lived mine and I watched yours" - We now know they both suffered from bi-polarity. "You know we used to have our reasons There were these words, they used to sting" - I'm thinking their split, they probably exchanged words that we not that nice "You never think you're one for treason" - Maybe he feels Matt betrayed Geoff but that's a bit of a strech here... You live like slaves, die like kings" - Not sure about this one either. In the first demo there was this bit too: "Before the moment, it seems all okay And for the moment, it's so far away It's not real somehow, real somehow, real somehow..." - He didn't see it coming and still can't believe it... What d'you think?
