  1. In case anyone missed the lyrics: We Have Done This Before, We Will Do It Again We have done this before we will do it all again the kids in the corner are shaking and screaming “I am lightning that will be your undoing” we have been here before we have done this before and we will do it all again We have fought here before we have lost here before when the fix was on winning there’s rats in the corn breeding and eating the floor under your feet, all up and down your street busting down doors and dragging ‘em we have been here before we have done this before and we will do it all again The cross we are, the dust where we begin the sun and the stars, the grated earth the canyons and the chords, the rusted seraphim the pronoun of the Lord, the grated earth Your body’s lying everywhere post mortem, a warning to victims there are none that forswear believing for glass and golden prisons airships, we’re leaving for somewhere in defence of feeding the business of freedom so shoot your birds and bees get down on your knees and get your smile working Well I know a place to hide you but don’t you look back unless to remind you it’s just a lie yeah, I know a place to hide you
  2. I think there are no full lyrics. He did that in the past. He records a vocal medoly and writes lyrics later (The Boy Who Could Explode for instance). I do that too, it's pretty useful.
  3. I know he's not one for social media except Twitter but YouTube? The videos of the recording of Arrows of Desire were cool and the acoustic version of Load Me Up too... Not the end of the world, but it's a shame...
  4. I've had this thought recently. At first, hearing Tripoli and knowing the anxiety Matt was feeling at the time AOB was done, at first, I though "In a while, I will awake to be a has-been" was that he was afraid he'd be forgotten one day. But it recently dawned on me: Matt never liked fame! So what if that phrase was actually him trying to comfort himself. Like "don't worry, in a while, I will awake to be a has-been and it will all be over". What do you guys think?
  5. Did Matt write this or is it a quote from something?
  6. The great thing about video bootlegs is that they help! ;) Via Dolorosa looks hard to figure out! :o
  7. Some of them are pretty easy. For instance, Guns of Carolina is easy to figure out (Em G C for the verse, D Am F for the middle, Em G Am G G/D Em for the chorus). So is We're Long Gone (Bm G D for the verse and C G for the chorus). The only ones I can't figure out really are Arrows of Desire, Via Dolorosa and Garden of Knives.
  8. Nice one! :)
  9. It is! :)
  10. No problem :) Might I suggest two fan-favourites: "The Commoner's Guide To Suicide" and "The Night Opus". ;)
  11. It's a a collection of the Manifestos he used to write in the late 90's on matthewgoodband.com. If you look around on the Web (like here: http://mattgood.imgarbage.com/manifestos.php) you can get them all. But the book's a nice piece to have.
  12. You can thank archives.org for keeping it is the amnesty.ca archives! ;) https://web.archive.org/web/20050914121608/http://www.amnesty.ca/music/MatthewGood_Annabelle/annabelle.mp3
  13. For the latest demos I believe he is using Logic Pro.
  14. Well you could say that about "Free Download" but "Agoraphobe" and "Seriously Serious" are pretty much what I would call a song :P That said I've always wondered if they wrote "The Devil's In Your Details" during the whole +jackpillowhead thing.
  15. Oh of course. I'm just saying that in the "I wish there were more from AOD" context ;) Otherwise, two years is fine.
  16. That would be nice. But as of now, he's pretty much following his 2 year pattern. Oh well :P
  17. Same here! Although I love the whole thing. The only song I like less is So Close. Otherwise, I think the record is too short, I would have taken more.
  18. Does anyone have, by any chance, a copy of that hour long live broadcast from YouTube/Google+ Matt did in August 2012 whilst working on demos? I'm curious, now that the record is out, to know which song he was working on. Thanks :)
  19. Nope, unfortunately. :(
  20. That's also the impression I had. I don't know why though but that's what I believe I've read at the time.
  21. Yeah that's insane isn't it? He was 28 in 2000. Fast-forward 3 years only you get the super mature Avalanche era which was far from this 28 year old gum smacking guy! :P
  22. Apart from it being released on amnesty.ca in 2004, does anyone have more info on that song? Who played on it, when was it recording, etc.?
  23. Ha ha! Absolutely.
  24. What I could make out: She wraps around you like a snake, a rope, a chain Under the lights you hear the question softly [?] But you don't remember nothing because forgetting's all that keeps you sane Under the table the fire breathes to life Climb the walls across the ceiling down the pipes He sits [??] inside your dreams He's not always keep you tied Singing "help save me" Yeah, help me [read?] Out in the wilderness, I've been practising for years Bombshell to videos, dig for fire, facing fear Oh you don't know what you're doing, boy, so you better best stay here Well you and me, [the less?] nothing gets too clear [?] [?] Go tell [off your?] on his kitchen floor Red and black to me [a past?]
  25. I found it through Google.
