Mandatory Voting
Moonlight_Graham replied to no yu begin wher i end's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
NO. I don't want people voting who are completely uninformed on the issues & candidates. People who don't want to vote & are forced too will just vote for who their friends or parents/family is voting for. They'd be like: Bob: "Uhh hey Jim whats up with this election? Jim: "Oh Bob they all suck, Harper is fucking Bush so vote Green they are the only good ones. They're awesome so u just gotta vote green, everyone i know is!" Bob: "wow cool thanks Jim i'll do that!" -
Religious Moderates = Dangerous Idiots
Moonlight_Graham replied to heyrabbit's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
The most dangerous people are those that take the bible/religion too literally, and without context. And then live firmly by that creed, spread it to their children, &/or make political legislation based on it. Or even worse, begin to hate or discriminate while ignoring your religions' own core beliefs of love & compassion. I was raised Catholic, but much of the church's beliefs and actions are B.S. and go against Jesus' own messages. So many rules, blah blah this, blah blah that. The #1 things that matter in this world are love, compassion, love, empathy, love, love, and more love. Everything else, and all these little rules (no meat on Friday, gays can't marry) are secondary. -
Wow i just only noticed this thread now! Hey Geoff. You were that bald badass looking guy with the goatee in the MGB pics who always looked pissed off. Q: Were you really pissed off? Or is that your natural expression (aka badass). Or were you just trying to look PO'd just to look wicked-cool? Or did you just hate photographers taking your pic? Or were you unhappy being in that band 24/7 (named after the lead singer WTF!) from mostly day 1.

i've seen blu-ray burners/writers already out for PC's, think they got 'em at futureshop/bestbuy. But likely they'll both be ripable.

Fundamentalists Say The Darndest Things
Moonlight_Graham replied to Sparq's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
i love the irony in this one: ""The book [Farenheight 451] had a bunch of very bad language in it," Diana Verm said. "It shouldn't be in there because it's offending people. ... If they can't find a book that uses clean words, they shouldn't have a book at all." Alton Verm filed a "Request for Reconsideration of Instructional Materials" Thursday with the district regarding "Fahrenheit 451," written by Ray Bradbury and published in 1953. He wants the district to remove the book from the curriculum. "It's just all kinds of filth," said Alton Verm, adding that he had not read "Fahrenheit 451." "The words don't need to be brought out in class. I want to get the book taken out of the class." He looked through the book and found the following things wrong with the book: discussion of being drunk, smoking cigarettes, violence, "dirty talk," references to the Bible and using God's name in vain. He said the book's material goes against their religions beliefs. The Verms go to Grand Parkway Church in Porter." -

Who Do You Most Want To Punch In The Neck?
Moonlight_Graham replied to Moonlight_Graham's topic in Open Discussion
i didn't want to add anyone political or too obvious. Ryan Seacrest i think was too obvious. I SHOULD HAVE ADDED NANCY GRACE!!!!!!!!! She's a douche-drinker that one. -
My choice was close between Kelly Ripa & Dakota Fanning, but Dakota won out cuz she is so damn sickening.

i nulled my vote. FUCK hight-def dvd's. I don't even have an HD-TV yet. Maybe i'll care in 2015. GO REGULAR DEF DVD'S! WEEE!

Do You Still Watch The Simpsons?
Moonlight_Graham replied to juniorspank's topic in Rentals, Television, and Readables
i'm sad to say i'm burned-out of the Simpsons. I started watching when it debuted back in 1990 or so. Then when it on insane syndication about 6 years ago & was on 6 times a day i would watch like 3 different episodes every day. About 4 years ago i just finally got sick of the show. After about a zillion episode views, the show that i never got tired of.....i got tired of. Its sad, because i used to love the show. I watch it occasionally but the new shows have sucked for years & years, and as i said i've finally got a bit tired of the old schows. Now i watch South Park a lot more, since i never watch SP until the movie came out. -
this is kinda dumb but i left him a message anyways.

No it doesn't. Carbon-dioxide levels have NEVER been this high, not even close. Scientists can use ice samples from glaciers & go back millions of years to measure, and CO2 (the main greenhouse gas) levels haven't been this high between or during the last 6 or so ice ages, which is as far back as they can record. See the movie.

i just think the fact that its France is weird, because of the giant french/quebec conundrum in this country. If he was Canadian, grew up in Quebec, and has a dual-citizenship with Zimbabwe it would be different. Does anyone know how long he lived in France & when? He's never lived there from what I know. His mother was from France and he was born in Canada, which makes him eligible for the dual citizenship. He said he's kept it out of love and respect for his mother. It was apart of him when he was born. thats what i heard when he was interviewed on The National last night. If he never even lived there then to me its not a problem. But it would be another story if a guy lived in another country for 10-15 years & had citizenship there.

Pirates are stupid. If they named the movie "Ninja's of the Carribean" if would have grossed an extra $200 million.

Where Do You Get Your News?
Moonlight_Graham replied to supercanuk's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
action news > regular news. Cuz there's more action, less boring "talky" stuff. -
Well at least he lost his job over it. Thats some punishment. But yeah the whole situation is a joke.
