U.s. Primary Debates
Moonlight_Graham replied to Moonlight_Graham's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
I was impressed with Mike Gravel. He seems like the only truly honest one of the democrats who is tries to scrape through all the bullshit. I like him, but he's a bit of an old dolt to be President. Kucinich has some good asnwers, though not sure he's Presidential material. I remember back in the 2004 Primaries he was the only one wanting to get the troops out of Iraq immediately. I like the Mexican guy too. Clinton & Obama are so full of political b.s. double-speak. John Edwards just isn't quite Presidential material either IMO. All he's got going for him is his store-bought good looks & southern charm. -
tough call, i just don't know. I wouldn't give a homeless person money anyways since i know a lot of them would go spend it on booze or drugs. I'd give them food or a blanket or something. My sister lives in downtown Toronto & its really sad, with homeless just sleeping on her street corner outside her apartment building. Many of these people are mentally ill or addicts & need help. As hard as it is, i'd make it law to get these people off the streets & on schizophrenia medication or detox or whatever they need. Maybe some of them even should be put away in a mental institution if its a public safety concern.

hmm i rather like "She's In It For The Money". IMO The Boy Come Home & Odette are inferior, & possibly the cd version of Black Helicopter.

Rudy Field of Dreams The Natural The Sandlot Terry (TV movie from 2005 about Terry Fox, played by the guy who plays Iceman in the X-Men movies.

Ok FINALLY saw Transformers the other night. It was cool, but also really cheesy with too much cheesy comedy. Actually, the movie was just what i originally feared it was going to be like, ie: too much focus on some dumb human characters in the storyline & not enough robots. When i go watch a Tranformers cartoon, or want to see a Transformers movie, i want fucking robots not 80% of the 1st hour of the flick taken up by some dweeb human kid. The opening action scene in the desert was very cool. In fact pretty much all the Transformers were awesome. The comedy in the movie was lame. The scene at the kids house was STUPID. And the 1-liners were retarded, ie: Kid: "Optimus how did u robots learn to speak english?" Optimus: "THE WORLD-WIDE WEB!!!" or Kid: "How did u guys find me?" Optimus: "EBAY!!!!" Beyond the dumb comedy, the action scenes were kickass. The movie really picked up towards the end. Having Prime's original voice from the cartoons was sooo cool! Too bad they didn't include Soundwave in the movie, my fav as a kid.

i love it anytime Troi loses her powers & she cries like "ahh u don't know whats it like to not know what people are feeling!!!" And then i picture her naked. Back in 1996 i masterbated to Troi fevereshly.

ahh i take that back, its a better album musically than i gave credit. Listened to the whole album again today. Only songs i skipped were The Boy Come Home & "Devil's In Your Details".
-
i would sorta agree with that. This is a great album by Matt because of the lyrics. But musically, the album is somewhere in the middle or near bottom of his career. honestly, "Champions of Nothing" & "True Love..." are the only songs that make me go "wow".

beastie boys - "To The 5 Burroughs" its amazing, the CD folds out & its like a 360-degrees 5-panel panorama ink-drawing of the NYC skyline. Here's 2 panels, the front & back cover: -

Q About The Beginning Of Champions Of Nothing
Moonlight_Graham replied to Moonlight_Graham's topic in Matthew Good
the talking clips in this song are awesome. This is by far the most emotionally poweeful song on the record IMO. I hate the talking smaples on "Black Helicopter" though, ie: the "I Want" repeating samples, makes the song lame. -
After listening to the album a bunch of times, i can say that its a good album but definately not on par with Avalanche. HM is definately the most raw & emotional & very likely his most important, but musically its just not at the top.

u could just make this a lot quicker and do a poll of which is your fav song. j/k that would be no fun. ;)

Q About The Beginning Of Champions Of Nothing
Moonlight_Graham replied to Moonlight_Graham's topic in Matthew Good
no no, thats what the guy says (who i think is Matt). I'm talking about the part that repeats with the woman's voice. She says something right before: "...love is a strong word. I hate you". I cant make that part out. -
ok before the song actually starts if i recall you hear Matt (i assume its him, am i right?) talking, and then a woman talking repeatedly (whom i assume is Jen, am i right?). But what is the woman saying right before she says "...love is a strong word. I hate you."?

cool thanks! Its just too bad with yuousendit that the download limit exceeds & everyone won't be able to DL everything people put up. Unless Anton goes hero on us.
