Just finished listening to the CD. I hate to say this but I'm very disappointed in Matt's voice in many of the songs, especially early on in the concert. He went with a weird tremolo style for his voice, instead of his usual lovely clear wailing notes. Some songs he does well (like Blue Skies Over Bad Lands), but for songs like Champions or Avalanche i thought he frankly stunk. The band itself did an excellent job throughout though. I really wish Matt put out a live CD of his solo acoustic tour. His voice was amazing on that tour. Maybe the whole band vibe fucks up his focus on his voice. I dunno. Just not his best stuff. If you disagree with me thats fine, just please refrain from going all "i love everything Matt does" fanboy on me plz.

Thats very interesting, thanks for telling us that. I probably would have left too. Its not really a band if you are "told" how to play. Matt doesn't seem like a "band" kind of guy. I don't want to sound like an MG suck-ass, but he has enough song-writing talent where touring with these musicians-for-hire like he's done recently seems a better fit, though it makes for a really fucking LAME concert.

I agree. Dude only showed signs of life a few times when he cracked a couple smiles at Matt during the concert i went to. Every other moment he looked like his dog just took a shotgun to his entire family & then turned the gun on himself.

Never donated blood, but i've had blood taken twice this year for doctor check-ups. I'd imagine is almost the exact same thing, just when you donate they'd take a little more. I've never been keen on needles, but after years of getting flu shots i've gotten used to it. Its not the pain you're scared of (cuz it doesn't hurt more than a baby pinching your skin), its just the idea of the needle. What they did for me: - i sat down in a chair - they tied a thing around arm (like i'm about to shoot heroin) - gave me a little ball to squeeze - put needle in (in the little elbow-fold of your arm, like you're shooting heroin LOL) - you sit there for a few moments - they remove needle and give u a band-aid. It wasn't bad at all, the 2nd time i actually watched them put the needle in and take the blood. Kinda neat! If you're nervous, the trick is to not watch them put the needle in or even watch them do ANYTHING! Just stare at the ceiling when you see a nurse come & don't watch her do anything until its over. Suggestion: Go get your free flu shot to warm up cuz those are easier they just go in the shoulder. Then a few weeks later go give blood. AND WATCH OUT FOR VAMPIRES!!! VAMPIRES ARE KNOWN TO FREQUENT BLOOD BANKS! NO FUCKING JOKE.

Just noticed this: the album version of Weapon clocks in at 4:52 minutes long, while the intrumental clocks in at 5:58. According to my mp3's.

This is the greatest thing ever!! I can't believe the high production value. Haven't finished watching, only a couple more to go.
