  1. 8.5/10. Bishop is pretty cool, and he sorta looks like u right there lol. Negative half a point cuz its a bit hard to see.
  2. Watched the returns for Indiana & NC last night. Clinton is so done. Its over. And Huckabee still got 10% of the vote in one of the states LOL. What is so stupid is the 50% of Obama/Clinton voters in the exit polls who would said they'd would either for McCain or not vote at all rather than vote for the other candidate. This all just sorta makes me PO'd. Where was a candidate like Clinton in the last 2 elections. Bah!! I like Obama better but i still think she'd do a good job even if she's an insincere power-hungry biznatch. Oh and i love how Clinton still is saying in her "victory" speech last night that they should could the Michigan/Florida votes as they stand now. Florida ok, but Michigan??? Obama wasn't even on the ballot, so that just makes her look like a greedy undemocratic asswipe. GGRR!!
  3. A US invasion would concern me if i lived in the 19th Century, but not now. Judging from Iraq and Afghanistan, i think they'd have quite a bit of trouble post-invasion with the insurgancy. We are a peaceful country, but we also love hockey so we like to fight ;) Plus there are about as many people who live in California as there are in Canada, so there's lots of places to hide. I think a good strategy for Canadians would be to grab our winter coats and ski-doos & all move up north to the Northwest Territories & fight it out from there so the Southern U.S. and Cali-born troops all die of frost-bite. haha Cool trivia: The U.S. bought Alaska the exact same year that Canada officially became its own country. (leave it to your own imaginations as to why that was surely no coincidence).
  4. Dude, totally amazing! Wasn't expecting a violin etc. thought it would just be some kids shitting around with guitars/drums in their garage. Very well done, ya i hear what ya mean about the quality, its still not bad but the piano & the softer instruments get drowned out a bit.
  5. Been playing the guitar for a couple years plus i make some silly Beastie Boys-style hip-hop songs with my friends so im looking for a good piece of music software to record/edit on for PC (no Mac for me). Preferebly it would be free, but i can always download a pay program from a torrent site etc.
  6. i only remember that song with the bee girl in the video replaying over & over on Much Music/MTV back in the day can't remember the name. I will check out "Soup" though.
  7. Some tracks by "Stars", a Canadian indie group. They are pretty cool never heard of them till they came on the radio one night.
  8. Toss up between Dark Knight & Indiana Jones for me.
  9. Well what actually might be a smart idea is for the U.S. to expand its oil reserves even further and stock up for cheap during the winter, and then release the same oil in the next spring/summer to keep the prices from going too crazy. Then repeat the process annually.
  10. The Pentagon has invasion/war plans drawn up for most countries it sees as a possible or potential threat. They would stupid not to at least think of what a possible Canada invasion would look like. Suprisingly, they didn't have one for Iraq, according to former U.S. gov't officials.
  11. What comes out of his mouth is sometimes really good shit, but the guy is just so damn annoying & such a loser.
  12. so did the ones before it. A Link to the Past is the only Zelda game i ever really liked.
  13. Sometimes dreams do come true. These are fully licensed exact replicas of virtually every lightsaber from every major character. Some are just the hilts, some have the blade and light-up/make sounds etc. Most are full-scale but some are scaled-down versions.
  14. No Punisher's van? Booo.
  15. I had a couple viruses infect my Java & got rid of them. Might have been from here, but about a month or 2 ago i believe i had a virus get into my java as well. I get paranoid over viruses, i don't trust virus scanners getting rid of everything. So i'll probably format my harddrive one of these days & start fresh.
  16. AWESOME! They even re-did the song from the original. "Thou shall not fall...". Yes Corey Haim needs to be in this. I remember this movie so fondly as a kid. And ya Keifer needs o be in it too. "Maggots, Michael. You're eating maggots".
  17. No, but this discussion is making me think seriously about it. And my Member of Parliment is certainly going to hear about such things from me come election time.
  18. i say a bluesfest ad in the newspaper. They listed all the big names playing and Matt is being advertised as "Matthew Good and his Band". hahah funny
  19. I think boycotting China-made products would be a great thing to do. It would be almost impossible to boycott everything made in China since virtually everything is made there, but it would be better than sitting at home on your ass reading about more China bullshit in the news. To paraphrase a quote (i believe Dale said it on matthewgood.org a couple weeks ago): "A single drop of water into a pond, no matter how small, will still cause a ripple". To those that think boycotting and protesting would accomplish nothing, please tell that to Mahatma Gandhi. And look at what is happening now over the Olympics. Obviously people, especially the Chinese gov't, are taking notice. But obviously a few people boycotting/protesting will do nothing. It needs to turn into a massive movement, such as we've seen with climate change the last few years. Ultimately the ones that are going to change things in the biggest way are the politicians, who must be confronted with large pressure from the voting public on these issues. If the only way to secure power in an election is for a gov't to seriously pressure China into changing its most fundamentally repulsive habits in order for trade to continue with them, then it shall be so. I also think that trade with China is both good & bad. Its bad for obvious reasons, and its also making China into an ecomomic superpower, which is dangerous when paired with a communist country that also happens to have the world's largest army. But keeping trade healthy is also good because we have China by the balls, and they would be less inclined to do any thing militarily that would damage its relations But i'm not very optimistic that something like this would occur. But that doesn't mean its not worth a shot. And if it all ultimately fails, at least by not buying a Chinese-made product you have put a little more money in a Canadian or U.S. manufacturer/economy and less in the Chinese economy. Ultimately i think some international consensus effort like the WTO needs to put pressure on countries to provide minimum workers conditions in order for the int'l community to trade with them (some exception could be made for 3rd world countries), and also give fair trade prices to 3rd world countries, which the WTO has horribly failed to do. Anyways, here's the bottom line: if something is wrong in the world, its the voting public's (aka OUR) fault for letting it continue because we (in democratic countries) have the power to force political change. Unfortunately these days the voting public really doesn't give a shit about Darfur or AIDS etc. etc. etc. Other, more selfish issues, are almost always the key election issues (healthcare, economy etc.)
  20. So will you Mr. Winnepeg. AHAHHHAAAhahaaaa!!!!! p.s. i'm starting to get annoyed. I'd like to know if there will be an Ottawa date in may/june cuz i've got summer travel plans (hint: its not to Winnepeg!!)
  21. Ya but t-shirts are fucking cool. PWN'D!!!!
  22. I'm not 100% certain, but i think that trailer has been out for a long while. Still, i can't wait for that series. (No Lucas-written dialogue, Woo-hoo!! And no real Hayden Christiansen to annoy me!) Even more, i can't wait for the live-action tv show they are making that takes place between Ep. 3 and Ep. 4.
  23. I'm sure you are right to some extent. I mean, the guys in MGB certainly weren't whipping boys where Matt would write all the guitar/drum/bass parts and then tell the other guys to play what he wrote. They were a BAND, im sure Dave came up with tons of riff's and guitar parts on his own that added to or even were the hook of many songs. As for Matt, i'm sure he was responsible for the main contruction of the majority of songs and wrote virtually all the lyrics. It would be interesting to know which (if any) songs Dave or the others had a majority of influence on. I mean you can't be a guitarist in a band for that long and not come up with a few cool riffs that lead to becoming a song. P.S. i can't stand Dave's style of electric guitar playing. There's lot of parts from Ghetto through BM where it just sounds like there's a sick duck attached to his guitar.
