i agree they are annoying as hell. But what else is annoying are demos that are put up for 3 hours then taken down.

Here's the lyrics i've got so far: " " So if anyone could send me the song i could probably do better than this, thanks!

i used to be a hardcore comic geek, but the past few years i've totally dropped the hobby, just not much to read & follow that stuff i guess. Was this storyline in the Amazing Spider-Man (regular continuity), or Ultimate Spider-Man? I loved Ultimate Spider-Man until i stopped reading. Bendis rules. That Mephisto-marriage thing sounds dumb, but i'm glad they gave him back his web-shooters! p.s. my fav comics include Darkhawk (my #1 all-time fav!), Moon Knight, Ghost Rider (classic 70's version), Sandman, Alan Moore Swamp Thing, Ultimate Spidey, and X-Men from the Giant-Size x-men era. Any Darkhawk sightings lately? I heard he was in a "Runaways" series.

Dear Abby, My husband is a liar and a cheat. He has cheated on me from the beginning, and, when I confront him, he denies everything. What's worse, everyone knows that he cheats on me. It is so humiliating. Also, since he lost his job eight years ago, he hasn't even looked for a new one. All he does all day is smoke cigars, cruise around and B.S. with his buddies while I have to work to pay the bills. Since our daughter went away to college he doesn't even pretend to like me and hints that I may be a lesbian. What should I do? Signed: Clueless ------------------------------------------- Dear Clueless, Grow up and dump him. Good grief, woman - you don't need him anymore! You're a United States Senator from New York running for President of the United States. Act like one.

U.s. Presidential Race

My gut agrees with you. I don't think he is quite the "change" man he claims to be, though i think he'll still try & will be a refreshing change from what we've had the last how many decades?? But Obama is not a straight talker. He seems honest in what he says, but he holds a lot of things back. People like Kucinich & Mike Gravel are more straight-talkers for the Democrats & call out the other Democrats for their failures & take a big stand on stances that might make them less electable. But Obama always stops short of saying the really hard truth, that which is true but what may be politically unpopular. Hopefully he is just doing this because he is a keen politician & knows not what to say in order to get elected. On the other hand, he could very well be using his keen politician skills & personallity to shove some bullshit down our throats & most of the status quo will remain the same in Washington. I just really hope not, and at this point with the candidates left all we can do is hope the President becomes who he's advertising. -
U.s. Presidential Race
Moonlight_Graham replied to decomposinglight's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
The policy people would all be ultimately accountable to Obama. He's the head of state, head of gov't, and Commander In Chief of the military. His Secretary of Defense or some General in the Pentagon can't go above the President. In the U.S. system of gov't, the President has very weak powers relative to the legislative & judicial branches. It is widely regarded that the President of the U.S. is the weakest (or one of the weakest at the very least) executive heads of government in the world relative to the rest of the government. If Obama is elected, he can change foreign policy to a fair degree, but domestically he can do very little without Congress. As many may know, the President of the U.S. can't actually table any laws or legislation (unlike Canada's P.M.), somebody in Congress has to do it for him, and then they still have to vote for it. I think if Obama's elected, he will be able to make a lot of changes both foreign and domestic as long as the American people seem mostly in favour of the changes, since Congress usually will feel strongly urged to approve legislation if its popular even if they or their party isn't in favour of it. I hope Obama can change things such as electoral reform, health care, lobby groups, & or course foreign policy. I just hope he is as he appears & isn't just flapping his lip like most politicians. -
That cop assaulted the kid for no reason. For calling him "dude"? For responding to him in a slightly miffed tone? Cop should be charged & fired. What a dick.

Forget About The Sponsorship Scandal Already!
Moonlight_Graham replied to a topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
I don't put all the blame of that, i simply I think it was one of the factors that led to the scandal. If i voted for the Liberals it would be me giving them the message that this kind of corruption is tolerable, as long as your stances on certain issues agreed with my own. The Liberals were fundamentally broken. A change was needed. I believe the PMO was aware of the sponsorship shenanigans, and if it wasn't they should have been. The system failed. The scandal was just the icing on the cake for me, i had distrusted their way of politics for a long time. Sure there are some good, honest Liberals, but as a party they are the biggest bunch of liars it made me sick. They always promise the world in elections to get elected & then break those promises (see: Jean Chretien, Dalton McGuinty). I don't agree with a lot of the Conservatives' policies, but i give them credit for keeping most (not all) of their election promises. You say you voted for the Liberals because of their platform and political policies. Well a part of their policies include continuous lying, & stealing hundreds of millions from the public purse. Here's another analogy: your bank may have great rates and helpful service, but if some of the head staff steal some valuables from your personal deposit box (and you suspect some of that staff are still working for the bank) are you going to keep using that bank, or will you switch to another bank even though they might worse rates & slower service? -
This isn't a joke song. And if it is, its not very funny. By the same criteria, half the songs on HM would be jokes.

Thats a very good, simple definition. I would add to it and say "anything to provoke thought or emotion."

Ive had Rock Band since around Xmas. Its great. Get 3 or 4 friends together at someone's house and it is THE funnest multiplayer game experience you will ever have. And thats saying something because i've been a hardcore gamer since the Atari. When my sister, her friend, and I first broke open the game we just had a blast. We'd fight over the mic when a song came up that we loved & wanted to sing. During "I Think I'm Paranoid" by Garbage we had a 4-part harmony going during the chorus (the 3 of us + the real singer from the game) as we all played our insruments, it sounded so cool. Awesome game!! Been a fan of Guitar Hero since the start. The guitar parts in Rock Band are just not up to par to Guitar Hero, its just too easy. Drums is really fun, probably the best part. My sister is a real drummer but can't have a drumset in her apartment so she spends hours just hammering away in Rock Band. Took me awhile to learn how to properly hit the bass, but i got the hang of the drums & its great. The downloadable songs are awesome too, new songs coming out each week. Downloaded the Metallica, Black Sabbath, and Oasis songs. One of the best things about Rock Band is that most of the songs are the original recordings & not covers like most Guitar Hero songs. - If anyone needs a bandmate on Xbox Live my Gamertag is: Rambo 28 If u add me please include your username on NF in the invite so i know who you are.

Forget About The Sponsorship Scandal Already!
Moonlight_Graham replied to a topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
Water isn't just under the bridge. The sponsorrship scandal is still fresh in my mind. True, some of the high members of the Liberal gov't at the time are gone now, but many Liberals in that gov't remain. The scandal came to be because that's what happens when a single party and/or leader is left in power for a long time - they get complacent & crooked. I'm glad the Liberals were punished politically for what they did. Hopefully it has been enough to give them the reality check they desperately needed - that Canadians won't stand for that shit. But now with an election likely looming this year, i've got a choice to make on who i'm going to vote, and the choices SUCK. The Cons are too right-wing for my tastes to continue in power, the Liberals are still suspicious & have weak leadership, and the NDP and Green's would be too far left on a variety of issues. I will be doing more research on Afghanistan to reach my own conclusions on that (which more Canadians should do). I'm not convinced of that. Harper/Canadian Alliance wanted to invade Iraq with the U.S. What do you think the Cons stance on abortion would be if they had majority power, compared to what Hillary and Obama's stances are? If we didn't have universal healthcare, do you think the Cons would be all that eager to implement it in favour of a "free-market solution"? Et cetera Et cetera. I just can't see Stephen Harper running as a candidate for the Democratic Party rather than the Republicans. -
I have to agree with you. Another song bashing his ex-wife with personal attacks. For HM, he wrote a lot of it when he was going through all of it. But now its a good time after the fact. If Matt still has pain, it seems better to deal with it in a way that isn't for the general public to see. Now it just seems like a tasteless public shit-parade on his ex. I was never really comfortable with the way Matt publically raked his ex anyways. I think Matt has more class than this. Musically, i like the song though.

i bet i can guess which ones? The same ones i haven't hear of. The Sum 41 album sucked, so i think he's got a good shot.
-
No never did that. I bought mine used but it was in great condition. Thats a lot of money, but thats for the suggestion i didn't know i could have that done. I know a good music store that specializes in Ibanez so ill look into it thanks. Joe lon thanks for the help, i dont know much about guitars but ill look into what u said.

Bought my first electric guitar a couple months ago, and it has a tremolo bridge (whammy bar). A string broke so i re-strung all the strings with my sister's help. But then i went to tune the guitar & noticed everytime i tuned one string, the others would go out of tune. I kept trying to re-tune the string over & over thinking maybe they are just stretching out a bit cuz they are new. But then i looked at the bridge and i had tightened the strings so much that the tremolo bridge was lifted way up towards the neck as if i was pushing on the whammy bar. Ok so i knew something was wrong, i loosed the strings again so the bridge is back down normal. Now i don't know how to tune the guitar. Any help??? p.s. guitar is an Ibanez RG 120 with push-in tremolo bar if that helps?? Also, the whammy bar wasn't in while i was tuning. That matter?
