  1. I'm really enjoying MW3's multiplayer, though, I am not supergood at it. It's just a bit of fun to kill some time. Most of my time now is being devoted to Arkham City, which is pretty damn good.
  2. A Feast for Crows. On my Kobo. Fuck paper!
  3. Last one I saw in theater was Dragon Tattoo. Thought it was great.
  4. I heart this video so much
  5. Still binging on the Pixies. Really digging "Hey" lately. Really great bassline to play.
  6. Gouge Away, Debaser, Monkey Gone to Heaven, Rock Music, Is She Weird and All Over The World by the Pixies have been on repeat lately.
  7. I should totally get my jersey signed.

  9. I will contribute to this post later.
  10. Sort of a Protest Song, hands down, no questions, never changing.

  12. Sorry, couldn't get on the computer yesterday- Shay was using it for her final assignments all day: https://www.yousendit.com/download/T2djTkZwY3lCSnBYd3NUQw
  13. We Are A Place was going to be on the album and then MG wrote Non Populus and said that NP wiped the floor with WAAP hence WAAP was cut.
  14. I can do it later today.
  15. My favorite concerts probably are: 1)MG at the Vogue during the LOES tour- great venue, great atmosphere, great performance, Matt and the boys killed it, plus first time I had heard Running for Home since 2000 2)Explosions in the Sky at the Vogue in September- these guys are just phenomenal, and getting a 10 song set from them was unexpected but awesome, and hearing The Only Moment We Were Alone and Your Hand in Mine live made pretty happy inside. 3)MG at Mac Hall in Calgary, first acoustic tour- first time hearing Protest Song (favorite!) and Fine Art live was pretty memorable. 4)MGB at Calgary Stampede, 2000- outdoor show, sun is setting, Running For Home is played, 5000 people are singing along 5)Wilco at Mac Hall in Calgary- this was during touring after A Ghost is Born came out, and they had recently added Nels Cline to the lineup girl, I was at that same MGB show at the Corral, and it was Matt's birthday- I remember the dudes playing SSX on PS2 onstage, the guy who was so excited he couldn't sing Load Me Up, and one of my high school classmates getting pulled on stage to sit on the fake bull. I also remember getting kicked in the head a lot and the giant red mark across my chest from being crushed against the barricade in front of the stage. One thing I wish I didn't remember is the singer from Copyright- his pants were too tight and there was a hole near his cockbulge.
  16. I've always thought this album was good, but overrated :) 1)Weapon 2)Avalanche 3)House of Smoke and Mirrors 4)Pledge of Allegiance 5)Near Fantastica 6)Bright End of Nowhere 7)21st Century Living 8)While We Were Hunting Rabbits 9)Double Life 10)A Long Way Down 11)In A World Called Catastrophe 12)Song for the Girl 13)Lullaby for the New World Order (one of my least favorite songs, right next to Middle Class Gangsters and My Life as a Circus Clown)
  17. I am going to abstain from voting. I love band shows because it is great to hear those songs really come to life but acoustic is great too for the intimacy, banter, varied sets etc, and while some of the MG(B) shows have been better than others, I've never seen him put on a bad show regardless of format. Also, I hate writing long posts on the iPhone.
  18. As much as I do enjoy Double Life, especially the breakdown and solo, I think Avalanche would be a stronger album without it (and Lullabye which I do not like, and Song For the Girl, which I do like).
  19. According to the sets at Disorientation, early 2001 was the last time it was played before this tour.
  20. Some of it depends on the venue- if it's a union place and they're on past a certain time, the employees get paid mad bucks, and it's also the last couple stops of the tour, so he wanted to go all out. Hell, when he played Massey Hall during the Hospital Music tour (which of course ended up being the Live album), that set was 20 or 22 songs or something compared to 14 to 16 for the rest of the tour.
  21. It wasn't played. I had my iPhone out and was noting the songs as they were played. Because I am a dork. I remember an acoustic show where Matt looked at his set during the encore and was all "I don't want to play that right now. " and played something else so it happens.
  22. Who is? Because it for sure was not played at the show I went to.
  23. It was a great show. As much as I would have preferred something like I'm A Window or Great Whales over HTB and LMU I still enjoy hearing those songs, especially with the enthusiasm that the band played with. Matt was great, Jimmy was solid and lots of fun to watch, Milos and Ian were great and Tony is phenomenal and is probably the only keyboard player that didn't look silly while grooving. They all looked like they were having a blast. Matt was also in really good spirits for the meet and greet. Got the Vancouver and Species vinyl signed as well as A Pleasurable Headache. He even remembered playing Running For Home at the Calgary Stampede during sunset when I brought it up so that was cool.
