I didn't really follow E3 this year, because I pretty much know what I need to know about the games I am looking forward to (namely, the Team ICO collection, Battlefield 3, Batman: Arkham City, The Last Guardian, Mass Effect 3). I think Nintendo is toeing a fine line with the Wii U. The concept has potential to be cool, but third party support needs to be strong so as to avoid masses of shovelware like the Wii has. Don't get me wrong, the Wii has some gems of games, but too much crap. Lately I have completed Portal 2 single player and my roomy and I are slowly attacking co-op mode. Also nearing completion of an insanity difficulty run on Mass Effect 2 (which isn't as hard as I was expecting- probably because I have played the game like 5 times now), and am playing a bit of NHL 11. Also, I have been playing WoW a bit and enjoying myself. Le gasp!

Eh, I live in Burnaby. Granted, my apartment looks over Hastings, but I feel pretty confident that I can avoid being set aflame in the event of another riot.

The Canucks losing game 7 is the ideal situation for me being able to sleep tomorrow night.

The Vancouver vinyl didn't have an mp3 download either and I don't recall anyone making a fuss over it. Not publicly at least. Rule of thumb, if it doesn't say it contains something, it probably doesn't.

The Mass Effect games are among my favorites ever, and Mass Effect 2 is a fantastic game. I did miss customizing my weapons, but the streamlining was nice in it's own way, and I enjoyed the characters a bit better in the 2nd than in the first. I remember seeing Beyond Good and Evil in Blockbuster back when I still rented games, and always thought about renting it, but never did. I eventually read a couple of reviews full of praise for it and bought it for my PS2, and I'm glad I did, as it's a wonderful game and it holds up fairly well today, so the HD remake was a decent purchase me. I've been intrigued by Enslaved since I first heard of it, but never got around to picking it up. I enjoyed the demo and when I saw it for 20 bucks the other day, brand new, I figured it was worth a shot, and I'm enjoying it. Nice, vibrant and lush colours which are a treat to look at, some great character design and great characters in general, though the controls are a little loose and you have to be somewhat precise in where you try to jump from, but overall, it's definitely worth a 20 dollar purchase.

Eh, you can get those tracks from the two bootlegs floating around from that show, which are pretty good quality. -

I've asked Matt a couple times on his site if Darling will be available to purchase on it's own when the album is released but as he is a busy man, no response. -
I can't tell if you're being a troll right now or if you actually think Johnny Cash wrote it, but click this and scroll to the tracklisting: http://www.ninwiki.com/The_Downward_Spiral_%28halo%29

It reminds me a bit of how I felt when I first listened to The Audio of Being. Here I was, listening to Loser Anthems for months and thinking "hey, this is a great little taste of what the next album is going to be like!" and then finally hearing AoB and going "that is not what I expected at all but it is still totally balls out awesome, cuz everyone knows having your balls out is awesome!" There are definitely elements in LOES of everything he's done, even the History Teacher demos. -
The DLC that's really worth the money, in my opinion is Kasumi: Stolen Memory and Shadow Broker. Shadow Broker especially. Overlord and Arrival aren't bad and Arrival will likely have carryover into ME3 if you play it. I have decided that seeing as I just finished up my renegade playthrough in ME1, I could continue that story in ME2. Then eventually I will start from the beginning again with a paragon and make all the choices that I want to make. Like not offing the council. Woops.

I wasn't even going to worry about getting a signed copy this go around, but my fiancee decided to take care of that one for me, so that was pretty win of her. -

I listened to Non Populus with headphones today, and I have to say, the bass guitar tone is absolutely spectacular. -

"Fake love is a very powerful thing. That girl who adored John Cusack once had the opportunity to spend a weekend with me in New York at the Waldorf-Astoria, but she elected to fly to Portland instead to see the first U.S. appearance by Coldplay, a British pop group whose succss derives from their ability to write melodramatic alt-rock songs about fake love. It does not Matter that Coldplay is absolutely the shittiest fucking band I've ever heard in my entire fucking life, or that they sound like a mediocre photocopy of Travis (who sound like a mediocre photocopy of Radiohead), or that their greatest artistic acheivement is a video where their blandly attractive frontman walks on a beach on a cloudy fucking afternoon. None of that matters. What matters is that Coldplay manufactures fake love as frenetically as the Ford fucking Motorcompany manufactures Mustangs, and that's all this woman heard. "For you I bleed myself dry," sang their blockhead vocalist, brilliantly informing us that the stars in the sky are, in fact, yellow. How am I going to compete with that shit?"- Chuck Klosterman

Going by the demos, and adding a couple of minutes because I only have a 2 minute clip of "How It Goes", it will likely be in the 44 to 45 minute range. -
