No, Psychonauts isn't really an indie game because it was released on mulitple platforms in the PS2/XBOX/Gamecube era, however, it certainly did not get a whole lot of love back then, so I'm glad to see it available as part of the bundle and on XBOX live. Reach is the only Halo game I've thoroughly enjoyed. Halo 2 and 3 were good, but nothing spectacular, but I felt in terms of gameplay and story presentation, Reach was the best of what Halo games I've played.

Drive by James Sallis (inspired the movie by the same name, which is one of my favorites of 2011). The story is told in a non-linear fashion, which was kind of suprising (as I saw the movie first), but is still pretty easy to follow along with. Pretty short though- the paperback is apparently only 158 pages, and according to my Kobo I read about 33% in 45 minutes yesterday. Would recommend. -

Oh man, that song, catchy as fuck. OH! This has been bugging me so I feel I must share- why does she think it's crazy to give her number to someone after she met them? If you see someone you fancy while you're out, approach them, start up a conversation and what not, isn't the number swap the next logical step? -

Exam. Neat little psychological thriller out of the UK. Minor annoyance with the ending, but overall a good movie.

Reading Ender's Game. I can't even count how many times I have read that book. -
You know what is awesome about that Calgary show for the Rotary House? That 54-40 is on the bill as well. Matt Good and Dave Genn burying the hatchet perhaps?

Full Calgary Folkfest lineup announce and no Matt there, but Sinead O'Connor cancelled so they need to fill a headline spot. MG would totally make trying head to Calgary for Folk Fest even more worthwhile than just Iron and Wine, Jeff Magnum, Whitehorse and a couple others.

I need to get Fez, I want to play it very bad. Bought the Witcher 2 yesterday, played a little bit. Kind of difficult, but it is fun. I might go through the tutorial levels and prologue missions a couple times so I can get the hang of it. I need to restart and then finish Persona 3. Loved what I played but didn't get too far into the game. I originally bought the special edition of the first release because that was all that was available at the time, and it came with an artbook and soundtrack, which was sweet. Then the FES version came out, so I traded in the original game disc, kept the artbook and soundtrack and got the FES edition. I made a good choice.

Read Halting State and have started Rule 34 by Charles Stross. Cool speculative sci-fi books. -
I watched Inni, the latest Sigur Ros concert DVD, which I guess kinda counts. It is pretty awesome.

What Are You Reading?

Well, it is written for a "young adult" audience, which is honestly a difficult concept for me grasp, because I was that kid in grade 5 reading Stephen King books. That being said, I did find them entertaining, the universe and ideas were pretty well thought out, even though some of the ideas the characters have were fairly narrow minded (such as Katniss and how]she feels like she can't be with someone unless she plans on marrying and having kids with them. Seriously, you are allowed to be with someone and love someone without marrying them if that's your choice, don't get so hung up on it). Katniss' self loathing gets pretty tiring after a while, which at times can make her an extremely unlikeable and annoying character, which is unfortunate because we are in her head the whole time. Gripes aside, I would give the series a B-. -

Finished the trilogy. Enjoyed it. Worth the $20 I spent on them, will read again. Going to start Halting State tonight or tomorrow.
