Opening bid of $150 and $300 buy it now? That is pretty insane. I feel lucky that I snagged mine for $40 including shipping.
-
I just checked the liner notes, and Blake did do the drums on Vancouver/LoES.
-
"Had it Coming" is one of the songs (the only song? who knows?) that Anthony posted in the recording videos. I definitely recognize the solo and the bassline from those videos :)

Zero Orchestra: Does This Remind You Of Anything?
AnOceanPearl replied to Outtahere's topic in Matthew Good
Zero Orchestra is very reminiscent with the staccato notes and horn/piano arrangements, but in terms of the actual chords, they are different. -
What Are You Reading?
AnOceanPearl replied to sodamntired's topic in Rentals, Television, and Readables
Count Zero by William Gibson. Part of the Sprawl Trilogy along with Neuromancer. Only about 15% through, but so far, so good. -

Neuromancer. Excellent. -
Man, I'd love to have those Moogerfooger's, but I do not have the money. Awesome thing for Matt to be doing though.

The Place Beyond the Pines Pretty slow paced, almost a bit too slow for my liking and the plot points were pretty predictable, but it was really well shot and Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper were fantastic in it.

Lana Del Rey
AnOceanPearl replied to Computer's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
I think she's wicked. Gods and Monsters is one of my recent favorites and there's quite a few others that I enjoy immensely. -
There was a topic like this before but it was a couple of albums ago I think, so I will contribute what lyrics I really like :) "Down came your blackbird to suffer in my arms" "My other self is a mansion, just living in this one until it goes cold" And probably my favorite lyrics of all time: "I dreamt last night I saw you A single spark explosion negotiating with the dead By the bright lights in some ICU on my chest you put your head And said 'there you are, there you are, there's my heart'" There are a lot of songs that I feel don't have any single stand out lines but as a whole are incredible, like Prime Time Deliverance and Sort of a Protest Song.

Based on what Matt told me when I went to pick up finboy's amp, Rich and him are not on good terms.

I've sent you a message so as not to hijack the thread with cats.

That's actually my kitty. He really liked the cases:

Ha, I didn't even realize Gus made it into the picture of the cab. He just has to be in everything!

I'm also looking forward to having it be absolutely fresh for me, other than the few snippets that were posted by Anthony during the recording process (I already know a bit of the bassline to one of the songs thanks to that!). I've gone through the "funk" as well where I just kind of drift away from Matt's music for a bit, listen to other stuff, and then one of his songs will come up on my iPhone and it'll just draw me back in. In regards to Garageband, I imagine it was used for the demo process, but I wouldn't go quoting me on that.
-
Nope, he produced Hospital Music and Vancouver as well.

They both played in Calgary last summer at the Stampede Roundup event. And by last year I mean 2011.
