  1. AC/DC - Sink the Pink What can I say? They were geniuses.
  2. I go with Oh Be Joyful, cuz it rocks. And because I do dance to it in my underpants.
  3. This just came out on DVD. Holy shit. And it's 12 chapters long and apparently not finished.
  4. Sort of a Protest Song Near Fantastica The Inescapable Us Strange Days
  5. I used to hate the Doors. Then I realized that I hate the press that the Doors get and that the band was fine. Nothing mind-blowingly awesome, but fine nonetheless. Jimi is incredible, but I think moreso to people who play guitar (or so it seems from conversations I've had). Oh, and I hate RAy Manzarek as well. Let's do ourselves a favour and forget his name.
  6. Sort of a Protest Song Suburbia Strange Days Tripoli (Rooms)
  7. Indeed it is. It's nice, too. And Paul's new one is good and worth checking out. It's no Beatles record, but it's closer than he's been in years.
  8. FYI, Strawberry Fields is a John tune, Paul just helped with the production. I don't know. It all comes down to taste, and Paul wrote my favourite Beatles tunes so he gets my vote. That said, in the Beatles, I don't either was stronger than the other. Post-Beatles, John wrote a better album (Imagine) than any of Paul's, but still, I can barely make a full mix cd of songs I like from either of their solo careers.
  9. Isaw them last night night and it was the best show we got this year. AND it didn't sell out. SHAME on Edmonton. Seriously though, it was incredible. And pennies, I think the new album is fabulous as well. It kind of tails off at the end, but it starts well and there are some really strong stand out tracks. I'm really digging Fire Eye'd Boy a lot as well as 7/4 (shoreline). Did you guys get an Indie Rock Dance Party at the end? Cuz that was awesome.
  10. Resident Alien is a really cool record.
  11. I agree with the mixtape rule, personally, though I say never more than two from one artist, and never more than two artists with two songs. But really, it's all about flow. Good effort though. I see myself having to do the same thing for my 12 year old cousin soon...
  12. Avalanche Fated Near Fantastica While We Were Hunting Rabbits Prime Time Deliverance
  13. I'm looking forward to it. 3 was definitely my favourite.
  14. Mark Hamill is actually the voice of the Joker on the animated series.
  15. Okay, so far I've watched two minutes of this, and it is awesome. Wow. Like, imagine him recording this. "Shit, think, shit, think, shit put me in the closet"
  16. Avalanche Truffle Pigs Sort of a Protest Song Tripoli (rooms) Oh Be Joyful
  17. Oh fuck all of you. On the commentary screen [ yes/no* ], select the asterisk.
  18. "Rock Machine" was at the time one of the worst songs I'd ever heard and seeing them open for MGB cemented their shittiness forever in my memory. Here is how one forgotten classic was introduced in Tom's showy frontman voice: "You guys like to get high?" Audience screams "Well this song is about gettin a little too high!" It is rare that I will actually laugh out loud at band-shittiness, but this exchange put me right over the edge. Fuck, I couldn't wait for their set to end. Let the rock machine roll, kids!
  19. He's a Bored memeber, just look him up.
  20. Someone should mention that Copyright was terrible.
  21. I'm sure Gursky can hook you up with the Edmonton ones.
  22. I thought I killed Prozzak. Who was that then?
  23. Yeah, I love Cat Power's version of Satisfaction, I made that comparison as well.
