If Machina I and II were edited down into one album it would have been a great farewell. I will miss James' contributions to the records, but at the very least this will finally settle the question of how much of a role James played in the band, which has been the subject of debate. I hope the new one's nice and loud, anyway.

I'm pumped. It won't be the same without James and D'arcy, but I'm still really excited to see what Billy comes up with. I liked his solo album, but he needs to put some bite back into his songs. And really, just about anything will be a step up from Machina.

You Send It is still way less bullshit than this piece of garbage.

I've been listening to Hail to the Thief like crazy lately. The strong ones on that record are some of their strongest ever. The life kind of gets sucked out of it by the end, though.

He closed the Edmonton show with Happiness by the Kilowatt, which I thought was really cool.

Cash's version is better, but only slightly. The original is still really fucking good, especially with that sweet ending. And if we want to get technical, Matt is playing the Cash "crown of thorns" version, so technically it is a Cash cover...whatever.

I saw it last Monday and it is great, one I definitely will go out and buy when it's on dvd. The first chunk is Prairie Wind in it's entirety, followed by a selection of his best acoustic tracks. Don't waste time, see it asap.

Nevermind the songs sucking, this album has one of the funniest and lame titles ever. Chinese Democracy? AXL YOU SO DEEEEP. The whole build-up around this album is like a terrible joke and we're all standing around waiting for the punchline.

I likes the REM, especially E-Bow the Letter and Night Swimming. My roommate leaves the Great Beyond on all the time...but I still like that one too.

I also like Sheryl Crow, but really she hasn't done anything good since like, 1998.

I like this band a lot. Heavy Metal is a wicked song.

I would not call this their best, however. Is This It is pretty much as perfect as a record can get. They will probably never top it.
