  1. Glad I waited to buy it before listening to it. I'm enjoying this a lot more than Hospital Music. Not to say Hospital Music is no good, I enjoy a lot of the songs on it, but this album just seems like something that I can listen to on many occasions without getting incredibly depressed >.< Something to note, it might just be me, but his voice seems notably "lamb"-ier on this album than in previous, if that makes sense. As in, he does that thing with his voice that makes him kind of sound like a lamb. It doesn't bother me per se, I just always notice it. Lyrically, I'm finding this album a little more engaging than the last. Good stuff. Very much digging "The Boy Who Could Explode".
  2. Well you know, once he was the King of Spain...
  3. Lovely dress. You look beautiful. I love the detailing at the hem.
  4. Congrats. Looking forward to seeing your wedding pics.
  5. You'd think he'dve had one of those "live life to the fullest" dealies, considering how he and Travis Barker walked away from that horrible plane crash just a little while back.
  6. This guy, Miles Fisher, he's some actor who's been in TV shows and movies I've never seen before. He played Tom Cruise in "Superhero Movie". Anyway, he's got this new music video, a cover of the Talking Heads' song "This Must Be The Place". Please watch it. It's so awesome. It's an homage to "American Psycho". I was enamoured as soon as I saw/heard him. You can download his EP at his website, Miles Fisher.com The music video is a good indication of what the album is about, so if you dig it, you'd dig the rest of the EP. Albeit, the music video is a tad more "electro" than the other 3 tracks on the EP. Still over all very fun and light.
  7. haha do you know that Numfar is Joss Whedon?
  8. Man, what a shitty month for celebs...
  9. Obviously! I listen to pop music, c'mon! XD In all seriousness, it all goes back to my Fast Food way of thinking. Sometimes, you're not interested in nourishing your body with something healthy, you just want a quick fix of something that is exceedingly delicious due to the amount of salt/sugar/additives in it. As long as you don't do it too often, and you're always endeavoring to keep yourself healthy 75%-80% of the time, then I don't see harm in indulging once and awhile. It's the same with summer movie blockbusters, pop music, and men.
  10. I just generally hate 80's music in general haha So the soundtrack was pure hell for me. I also just saw the original cartoon movie for the first time on Monday. Kevin made me watch it. My only qualm with Transformers 2 is that it needed Grimlock. He's my new favourite transformer. How can you not love a big fat T-Rex who says stuff like "Me Grimlock not kisser! Me Grimlock king!". Freakin' adorable. Also, Hot Rod is kind of a douche.
  11. Yeah. He totally died. I'm kinda in shock. He's been so sickly and gross for so long, but at the same time, I never really thought/could imagine he'd die. EDIT: It's not a good time for celebs right now. First David Carradine...then Farrah Fawcett this morning...and then MJ just now? That's crazy...
  12. If you remember how cheesy the original Transformers movie is (Hello, dancing around a fire with bad 80's music?), then I'm sure you can forgive that kind of shit. Remember, it's TRANSFORMERS. It ain't Schindler's List.
  13. I saw it last night and I can say I enjoyed it (Transformers 2). Remember what the target audience is, kids and man-children. I personally tried to enjoy it on that level, and not look that much into it, or expect too much, beyond lots of transformers beating the shit out of each other. Owen, don't take it too seriously, ne? I had a few qualms with it...some racism..."car car binks"...some excessive potty-humour...but *shrug* but there were transformers and lots of them. Mission accomplished.
  14. Yeah, shut up, Anton! The weather's fabulous right now. You're Filipino. You should like the hot weather.
  15. Gambit's accent bothered me the most. It's like he tried really hard at the beginning, and once he had to actually do more than sit there, he had no multitasking abilities to keep the accent *and* act. See, Tim, I think part of the reason why you're less than pleased with it, is because you're nitpicking a lot. Just think of it like another universe of X-Men? Like I said. I'm the eternal optimistic fangirl. I'm trying to spread a little love here haha
  16. I agree with some of your points there, Tim. But as the ever optimist, I've chosen to look at Wolverine/X-Men franchise, as I looked at the Transformers movie and most other comic book movies. As a comic book enthusiast, one has to realise that a comic book series will always have so many reboots, rehashes and retellings. So, I'm seeing the movies as another "take" on the universe. I'm trying as much as possible not to go "omg, that's not how they're supposed to do it!". That being said, the story was a little blase, the dialogue a little cheesier than I would have liked. Some of the performances were great, as always, Hugh Jackman did a great job as Wolverine, and Liev Schrieber did an excellent job as Sabertooth. As excited as I was just to hear "Remy LeBeau" spoken out loud, and as fantastically good looking as Taylor Kitsch is, he didn't make a very dynamic Gambit. Gambit is so helpful and halfway nice in this movie...not really what Gambit's about. Plus the halfassed accent (which reminds me of Anna Paquin's halfass Rogue) all too disappointing. Also kind of disappointed at their treatment of Emma Frost as well. I'm going to say I enjoyed it, but only because I'm an eternal fangirl. I was good this time around and kept away from spoilers, and I felt I was pretty rewarded with . I had a mini-freak out at that.
  17. That is an awesome picture of Gambit and Rogue.

  19. I actually really enjoy Chuck...but yeah, I keep forgetting it's on :/
  20. It's gotten better, I have to admit.
  21. *shrug* It's terrible for Eminem standards, but it's not entirely unlistenable. On a completely shallow note, at least he's not fat anymore.
  22. You're such a bromo, Owen. haha
  23. This is what my desktop looks like at work:
  24. I 100% agree with you. Last friday's episode was actually decently entertaining. I'm just waiting for the big bad to start coming into play. I think that'll be the make or break part.
  25. Best song for a wedding, ever: Jon McLaughlin - So Close
