Saw it last night in IMAX and I was blown away. Fabulous movie. Pulled all the right emotions out.

I've been reading "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert. I'm not normally into chicklit, but it's suprisingly interesting to read. It's a very chill way of reading about spirituality.

I'm starving right now and have the sickest craving for canned corned beef mixed together with white rice and kale.

haha no, my comment was directed at Owen. Just cos I like to make fun of him. <3 XD
-
I was watching TV yesterday thinking that Owen kinda looks like that guy in the Stride Gum commercial, with the goat.
-
Every time we see him on TV randomly or watch him on Chuck, we always go "Look it's the man, the man they call Jayne!" We're cool. Yes Tim, you must watch Firefly.
-
People like you is what makes people think anime is for losers =_= You just lost 5000 exp points for being uncool.

Different stroke for different folks, is what I say. Some anime can be pretty retarded, but some of it can be pretty amazing story-wise. It's a large industry, which can't just be pigeonhold into "huurrr dragonball z is da shiz".

I remember watching 1 episode of Firefly when it first aired on Fox (I believe it was "Shindig") and thinking "Damn, this show sucks." and then my best friend tried in vain to get me to watch the pilot, and I was just soooo boored at the time. My friends won't stop bugging me about it, because I'm such a huge Firefly fan now. Serenity really did it for me. Let's hope Dollhouse is the same. So far Joss Whedon has not done anything I haven't liked.
-
Death Note's pretty awesome, but I love Bleach. And Charles, shame on you for watching dubbed anime.
-
Last episode was completely boring. But, due to an unexpected spoiler I ran across while reading ONTD, I have to continue watching Dollhouse, because: If it weren't for the spoiler above, I would have been completely ok with dropping Dollhouse. Damn you, Joss Whedon.

I KNEW SHE LOOKED FAMILIAR. Goddamn, I haven't watched Bleach for months...

omg haha I have never seen that. Ed did voice acting for Red Vs. Blue, that just reminded me. As Capt. Butch or something! Red vs. Blue was such gold. A fun bit of trivia, but for their "Everything to Everyone" tour, Rooster Teeth made special R vs. B videos, that they played during the concerts. They were really funny. Not to rag on Steve, but he was always the angsty one. Ed was the one with the sense of humour haha -
Fine. Steroids and hair dye.

You know what I have a disgusting craving for, right now? kale stir fried in garlic, butter and nutritional yeast. I could put nutritional yeast on anything. :9

I've said it once, and I'll say it until Owen does something drastic to mess with his face. Owen looks like Jim Creeggan on steroids.

I'm not quite sure what you're referring to here? Alan Doyle and Sean McCann (The "Ed & Steve" of GBS) are still currently part of GBS. Are you referring to Darrell Power? While he is a much-missed part of GBS, and had a pretty distinct voice and great talent with many instruments, he wasn't as integral a part of the band as Alan or Sean. I personally didn't notice a *too much* difference, having gone to concerts before and after Power left. Going back to BNL, I've reached the almost angry/bitter phase of my "mourning". I would like to wish Steve the best, but at the same time, I wonder if all the mess he's been getting into lately, had anything to do with his departure? I just don't think he's strong enough an artist to be on his own. If he's going to pursue theatrical possibilities, then cool, he's always had that kind of "broadway" voice...but I just don't know if he can cut it solo. He's no Matt Good :/ BNL has always enjoyed a consistent fan base, and while not always "visible" on the charts, have always enjoyed modest success. And they're a humble band, they don't tend to ask for more than what's necessary. They're very grateful for their fanbase. In terms of charts, I don't think they'll see too much of a difference in that aspect. In fact, the last few singles, I believe, have been very "Ed-centric". -

I heard about this late last night and I'm not ashamed to say I'm pretty heartbroken about it. Vanity Project proved to me that Steven Page, while a talented songwriter and singer, doesn't have the same impact, without the rest of the band to compliment him. And at the same time, I don't think BNL will be the same without Ed and Steve's iconic vocal harmonies. In fact, I would even go as far to say that BNL's voice is 60% Steve's voice. I dunno. When stuff like this always happens, "it won't be the same" is a common comment. But I'm inclined to agree. I love Ed, and I love his song writing too, but Steve has always had a very witty, sugar-coated darkness to his lyrics. They're surprising, beautiful and honest. I worry BNL will lose a lot of what made their lyrical content so engaging. *sigh* I'm feelin' pretty heavy hearted about this decision. But if it truly was a mutual decision (as their website says), then I suppose I should wish them all the best. I just really wished I had gone on Ships & Dip this year now ;) -
What Videogame(s) Are You Playing Right Now?
Muran replied to Moonlight_Graham's topic in Tech Section: A Hard Drive at Risk
May I ask why? I get it, it's really pretty looking, and it's kind of a neat concept...but I can't imagine anyone would want to play it longer than 10-15 minutes. -
haha that was full of awesome.

You know what I played yesterday? Flower. It was like a really interactive Windows Screensaver :S -
Yeah, this 2nd episode seemed to work out a bit better. I heard that this wasn't the episode Joss meant to have been the 1st ep. That got pulled. At least I sort of care about some of the characters now. Still missing that legendary Whedialogue tho.

JASON! My MMA buddy! Where the hell have you been!
-
I agree, when I saw the trailer, right down to the mysterious black guy, I thought it looked like such a Heroes rip off.
-
haha I totally didn't know what that was either, so I googled it while Kevin was standing behind me. He was perfectly horrified. And then he said "I'm never going to be able to spin my cock again, without thinking of that D:" TMI?
