My friend "borrowed" one from our school once. It was so funny. She lives across the street and her and her sister too the projecter outside in the rain, put a jacket over it and then wheeled it through traffic. But, they did bring it back when they were done.

Oh totally and completley. The other day I tried to sing along with him and then i was like "what am i doing" you can't sing along with that song. The way he sings it is just incredible. Normally if it comes on and someone else is around I tell them that they aren't allowed to talk until its over. I even once had a friend say it was "too depressing". I could have killed her!

i liked lauren's idea of projecting a picture on the wall and painting it. But you would need a projecter of course.

That's okay, I can handle it!

I am in the process of making a collage of all the stuff i got at his last concerts I was at. I have a signed set list, my ticket stubs, a pin, pictures, a guitar pick and a poster I stole off a lamp post.

Sometimes her voice is really haunting. She has this song called 'mystery song' and its just this totally sexy instrumental with her just sort of humming for lack of a better word. Its a total make out song.

Ya, I have seen before that you love the Rat Who Would Be King too. That song is so amazing sometimes I feel speechless when I hear and other times I could just go on an on about the greatness of it.
-
Heh, that is hilarious. I had no idea about this at all. How many songs did they have?
-
You probably do know her if you have the Loser Anthems CD cause she is the female voice on Flight Recorder From Viking 7. She is canadian too and I believe she toured with MG back in the MGB days. Her music is kind of alternative rock i guess. If you go to her website you can listen to her music. www.hollymcnarland.ca I recommend music from her first album: Stuff. Her voice is amazing.

You are totally right juanpe. I kept changing my mind too and second guessing myself even up until right now, but in the end I just went with my gut reaction to each song. Oh and by the way, this was before WLR&RR so that's why none of those songs are on here, but if they were Blue Skies over Bad Lands and We're So Heavy would definalty be in here somewhere. Okay here it is, my top 20: 20) A Boy And His Machine Gun 19) Prime Time Deliverance 18) Advertising On Police Cars 17) Let’s Get It On 16) Born To Kill 15) Near Fantastica 14) While We Were Hunting Rabbits 13) Everything Is Automatic 12) Life Beyond The Minimum Safe Distance 11) Haven’t Slept in Years 10) Alabama Motel Room 9) Avalanche 8) Change Of Season 7) Apparitions 6) The Inescapable Us 5) The Future Is X-rated 4) Failing The Rorschach Test 3) The Fine Art of Falling Apart 2) Running For Home 1) The Rat Who Would Be King

Well, once I was done I deleted the actual # that I rated the songs because that was just to kind of get an idea of which order they would eventually be in but I could list the top 20 songs if you want. I just have a feeling that everyone will be like "what about blank" and "how could you have left out blank" because there are too too many amazing songs.

I would say Holly Mcnarland. Their music is different, but to me she comes the closest to being the female version just because the lyrical style can be similar as well as the vocals - she can be very intense at times and at other times quiet, thoughtful and emotional. But, I still think that MG stands on his own, which is what makes him so special. No music in the world is like his.

This may not be considered crazy, and its also more of an expression of love for the music than for MG himself. But, I definatley know most people (who aren't fans) would think I was completley obsessed for doing this. A little while ago I was trying to decide what my absolute favorite MG/MGB song was so in order to make a choice I listened to every single song that I have (from LOTGA and on) and wrote a paragraph about what it is about each song that I like and then I rated them. When I was done I put them in order all the way down to number one and I am going to burn the top 20 onto a CD. Believe me, this took an incredibly long time since I have a habit of going on and on about music that I love, but it was totally fun and worth it because you get a different perspective and appreciation for the music when you sit down and focus on all the things that make a certain song special. And yes, it was incredibly hard to decide because there are so many diverse and amazing songs. So, it may not of been "crazy" since I didn't sleep in a strangers car, but I think it proves that I'm fanatical about the music.

I fart in your general direction! You mother was a hamster and your father smelt of eldeberries.

I'm in too, I'm always looking for something new since I often get the feeling that everything I read is just the same thing recycled over and over.

Ya i heard it, but it is extremely subtle. I never would have noticed it on my own. I can't believe someone actually heard it in the first place. Good ear! They must be a drummer.

I think if Matt can write all of the lead parts then he obviously can play them, it just makes more sense that he has a lead guitarist and he plays rhythm, especially at live shows. Unless I'm mistaken the vocalist in a band almost always plays rhythm while the second guitarist plays lead. I think it flows better that way.

I always sing along at concerts it makes it more fun. Even though I think everyone who sings along sounds like crap cause its so loud you can barely even here yourself anyway. I absolutley love it when for certain parts of songs Matt stops singing so that the audience can sing. It must be pretty cool to be a songwriter and have a whole crwod of people sing your lyrics back to you.
