  1. i'm out of the loop... but bear with. i don't know scot, but for all his pomp and what not, he still doesn't seem to deserve all the ragging you guys give him... sure, he may harass people and be an overbearing prick sometimes, from what you guys seem to say, but hey. that's life. deal with it. bitching at him won't help... i mean, come on. how many of you have taken a crack at writing music and releasing a record?
  2. good old social distortion. good old punk music. emphasis on the good part... most of the punk nowadays seems like crap to me.
  3. Against Me! - As the Eternal Cowboy Ben Harper - Fight For Your Mind and that's all i remember...
  4. ryan who? sounds suspiciously like another canadian singer... anybody hear ripoff? (as if i've heard any of the artist's stuff. i'm so off base...)
  5. the rolling stones - painted black
  6. yes. the christian entity as a mindless, hypocritical, self serving organization is stupid. see: my church lauren's church organized religion in general, with a few noteworthy exceptions...
  7. um, how would suicide not be legal? you do it yourself, of your own volition. it's almost virtually impossible to stop someone that's determined to do it... as for the assist, i don't know. i'm of a split mind on this one.
  8. yup. emily haines. or hayes. but i'm fairly sure it's haines.
  9. simple plan is by far the worst. cookie cutter, whiny little north american pampered media whores. 'conform, kids! it makes you happy!' i think blink redeemed themselves somewhat with the latest album. note how i say somewhat. order of suckage (most to least) simple plan good charlotte yellowcard blink 182
  10. i saw them live on muchmusic fleetingly once (because i never watch tv). they sucked. hard.
  11. i like metric. i have all their songs, thanks to my friend rachel. yay wesley! hah. yeah. he met emily haines before they were famous-ish. he met the whole band... he's met so many artists pre-fame. his sister met billy corgan... yep. anyways... i like smashing pumpkins.
  12. rise against - blood red white and blue
  13. against me! - you look like i need a drink
  14. tough call. i doubt i'd be able to put any of my choices in order... are we talking influence? but on that list. (no particular order) bob dylan john lennon paul mcartney elliot smith haydyn neil young and a bunch i forgot, no doubt.
  15. i love the get closer on your ass comment... haha. i haven't listened to much NIN, but i've started to. it's different. i kinda like it.
  16. i think the whole polygamy thing is just another attempt by the media to get headlines... honestly. we all know that polygamy, for 99% of the proponents, is just a complete sham. yeah, i think the take on it is just biased. apparently a lot of the proponents of gay marriage are implying that they want the benefits and tax breaks of being married in the legal sense... not the aesthetic sense that most of us thought. or so i'm told. i don't know. it's a touchy issue. blah. i don't feel like explaining myself with context. bite me.
  17. strung out - no voice of mine yay guitar riffs!
  18. my friend wes played their older stuff for me. older is better for most. them included.
  19. a great band. used to be my favourite. yeah. great band. the unraveling is one of the best albums ever. and their newer stuff is great too. i thought siren song was lame when i first bought it, but a few listens convinced me otherwise.
  20. i had that as my desktop for about half a year. frighteningly true.
  21. system of a down has always had the most differently weird sound, to me. i like it... soad is something i only listen to when in the mood, though. speaking of which, where did toxicity go? edit: effin a. i haven't listened to soad in so long... they're trying to build a prison system...
