Best Snl Actor/actress
cavalier_eternal replied to ham_ahoy's topic in Rentals, Television, and Readables
seems farrel is all the rage with everyone nowadays. the celeb jeopardy really has gotten popular with time passing... i don't think i spelt farrel right. i imitated someone else. farrell? meh. um, there have been some hilarious people on there. i can't possibly pick... edit: i never watch tv anyways... -
why is it .wav? why? heh. 42.3 megs. someone doesn't care about bandwidth... i need conversion software. and .wma is stupid. death to corporately inclined stupidity and infighting. can't we all just get along? i'm a naive bleeding heart liberal. sue me.

Harry Potter And The Half-blood Prince
cavalier_eternal replied to Crusader's topic in Rentals, Television, and Readables
david eddings is better. and raymond feist owns all your souls. oh yeah, r.a. salvatore is great too. and terry brooks. (i could be here a while.) i don't mind harry potter. it ain't earth shaking, but it ain't bad either. want some quality fantasy? read the midkemia books by raymond e. feist. i honestly felt like crying when some characters died in it... you actually have them grow old through generations throughout the books. seamlessly integrated, really. it's like losing an old friend. kickass computer games too. landmark rpgs. kinda like elder scrolls series. anyways, enough nerdage. feist = great. -

burn, baby, burn. that's all i've got. seriously, though... it's a form of protestation. and because i'm feeling lazy, i'll make a blatantly unjustified comment. americans are crazy.

Was Matt In That Crappy Muchmusic Movie?
cavalier_eternal replied to C-Bacon's topic in Matthew Good
god forbid i ever see that movie. it reeks 'sheer hell' to me. -
so basically, if i want to kill myself, you should all be perfectly fine with that and help throw the stones. works for me.
-
precisely. i'm on the fan site because i like the music. i don't give a rat's ass about the life he lives... hence why i never really read the mblog. and never really will. don't like me? i don't care. you're entitled to your opinion. point is, i don't scrutinize celebrity life, because it has no bearing on mine.

Music To Get Drunk Alone To
cavalier_eternal replied to Mouko's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
songs make me cry when sober as well... yeah, want a list of songs that have made me cry when sober? mgb - the fine art of falling apart mgb - all together smashing pumpkins - landslide (live fleetwood mac cover) (same diff, really) ben harper - forever neil young - the needle and the damage done a lot of songs let me get out my emotions, but those are some that made me cry... -
to all you people without lives. <expletive deleted> thank god i'm not a celebrity, or even remotely near one. i'd go nuts from stupid people making judgments about me and trying to pry into my own private life. in summary... celebrities are people too. and i don't mean those that are whored out to the spotlight (paris hilton and other random crackwhores). i mean, the people we look up to and respect for the music they make. other artists too. i don't know why i bother. basically, you idiots can go fuck yourselves. sorry if that was blunt, but hey. i get pissed where other people are infringed on.

yeah, neil young does well. without further ado... mgb - the fine art of falling apart (i've actually drank to that one...) ben harper - another lonely day the verve - the drugs don't work led zeppelin - since i've been loving you eric clapton - layla nine inch nails - something i can never have smashing pumpkins - crestfallen against me! - cavalier eternal metric - london halflife fleetwood mac - landslide goo goo dolls - iris green day - time of your life phish - waste sparta - light burns clear switchfoot - 24 alanis morrisette - jagged little pill nirvana - come as you are tool - sober a static lullaby - love to hate, hate to me bob dylan - knocking on heaven's door the who - behind blue eyes and a crapload more that i've forgotten... in general... bob dylan neil young mg ben harper elliot smith haydyn (both of which i don't own anything by, but are crazy good.) metric basically, anything bluesy or saddening. hey, music is potent in itself. my drug of choice. actually, lauren is my drug of choice. so i'm null and void on that one. -
i don't recall. but it's been over a year since my affinity with his stuff began. i always liked his stuff, and thought, hey, cool. then i think i ended up downloading a bunch of his stuff off k-lite, and i went, damn... this is amazing. then i went out and bought a stack of music. i still don't own aob or raygun, though.

avalanche. it's way way better. instrumentals make me cry. it's one of my favourite albums of all time.

Who Else Hates The Hip
cavalier_eternal replied to Dan #3's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
i don't really like much of their stuff. they're good, but... i don't know how people associate the hip with canada... they can write some good stuff. other stuff i find just generic, boring, and annoying. god forbid i actually disagree with the people who aren't allowed to have a mind of their own... so i picked meh. new orleans is sinking, i like. and some other ones i can't think of. a lot of their other stuff i strongly dislike... want good canadian music? let's see... if you're looking for the hip and stuff like that... try neil young. by far superior. or, of course, there's always a certain matthew good... but my mentioning of him would be a cliche and a definite no on this forum... -
i love the show. i bought my parents season one on dvd for christmas. and it ends up with me watching it more frequently than them... heh. i love how that works.

The Objectification Of Women
cavalier_eternal replied to pearanoid's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
here's my bit. in brief... the denial of 'objectification' doesn't make it any better and it sure as hell doesn't stop it. the fact that you refuse to admit it for reference to having to admit that the possibility of being objectified exists does nothing whatsoever. wake up. some things are nice in a vacuum, but we live in reality. which is why things are the way they are. and the pendulum can swing the other way too. it's all historical. it's all relative. it's a screwed up world, kids. if it stops, make it a point to hit up mars for some prime real estate. -
i always thought filter sucked. hard. and yeah, i can't wait to hear more nine inch nails. another crapload of money out of my pocket to stock up on music... no worries. wow. my speakers are falling apart, which makes 'hurt' sound better... there's something about the static in the background from my semi-broken bass drivers that makes it that much better...
