TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD (Booooo Radley! FARENHEIT 451 (the temperature at which paper burns!!) All but 1 of those books i was forced to read in school. Can you guess which one????
  3. never was a fan of the old show (Lorne Green!!!!!!) However, the new mini-series that aired a few months ago was pretty cool and showed some nice potential. They have made it an ongoing series, which premieres in mid-January (the 15th?) on the "Space" channel. Anyone else see it?
  4. hehe. Is that a rule, or a suggestion? You must admit, it is fixating.
  5. The Dog Who Stopped The War

  8. Alert Status Red
  9. Star Trek: The Next Generation. one of my fav tv shows ever.
  10. Well the protests were a hot story on CNN and they covered the protests live. They also had a story on the Daily Show. So yes people care or CNN wouldn't waste the air-time.
  11. yes i'm also torn on the issue.
  12. lol i love that. howz about: -Hitler's Gay Moustache -The Mysterious Brown Stains -Please Don't Make Me Laugh Oh No Woops I Farted -The Wiggers -A Horse Named Glue Factory -Screamin' Semen Demons -Zkj3llwi3795mtGkWmvNbs68s2 -Don't Eat That Tuna
  13. i'm shaking my head in disgusted disappointment at you. a) Rush is a wicked rock band from 70's/80's. The lead siger freaks me out though. One of Canada's most famous bands. B) Crazy Horse is/was Neil Young's band. c) Tom Cochrane (and his band 'Red Rider') wasn't a 1-hit wonder. "Big League", "Lunatic Fringe", Stonecutter's Arms", "Boy Inside the Man", "I Wish You Well" etc. were all hits. don't u listen to any classic-rock radio?????
  14. wow on that quote.
  15. Post # 466 !!! A milestone to remember. Eat it u mothers!!
  16. Yea or nay? Can't say i'm 100% educated on the current subject, but not bad. i'm against the militarization of space. It will get the Chinese and Russians in a hissy and start an arms race, or shall i say it already has. If i was Canada i'd try to stay away from this shit. Now, anti-ballistic missles on the ground near important sites i don't really have no problem with. In fact, i was astonished that a plane could crash into the Pentagon on 9/11. You'd think it would have some defenses in place, as well as the White House. The only problem with ground-based missles is that you need a lot of them and you need to basically place them at each site (1 for each nuclear powerplant??), whereas a a single space-based missle system can shoot at many different targets across a country. And ground-based missles aren't nearly as effective (as if any would be that effective anyways).
  17. me want to have sex with Shania Twain.
  18. Referring to the news on the main page, i think this is great! It takes all the pressure off Matt to write those prerequisite 1 or 2 "radio friendly" songs (Hello Time Bomb, Alert Status Red etc.) and he can stick those rockin tunes with his new band, and concentrate on doing whatever the f--- he wants with his solo stuff. I can't wait to hear both, especially what he does solo. Oh, and congrats to Matt for thinking of a great way to f---the "man" and being able to write whatever his artistic mind comes up with, while still being able to make money in the mainstream w/ his other band.
  19. If he never died then only a fraction of people would know who they are and they would still be doing thrash metal. in other words they would be megadeath. i disagree. Cliff would have kept them closer to their roots, but not slaved them to one direction. Lars and James were always the Lennon and McCartney of the group and wrote most of the songs. I just think the death of Cliff was the worst thing to happen to the band on a personal level, not a musical level. I loved the Jason years also. I'd likely not be the fan i am today without the Black Album. If Cliff was still alive i still think the Black Album would have happened (obviously it would be a bit different). I'm not sure if Load/Re-load would have happened the way it did.
  20. Neil Young & Crazy Horse Tom Cochrane (and his band) MGB The Hip Rush w/ special shout-out to the Moffats.
  21. the protests in Ottawa were pretty pathetic. Yeah there were some adults attending, but most of the protesters were punk teenagers trying to cause trouble. They'd likely protest a fart if they could. All the arrests i saw were of young punks who likely flunked out of high school and can't name who was our PM before Chretien. And these were the people the world saw on their late-night news. Proud to not be a punk am I. Anti-war protesters who cause violence amuse me. Its the ultimate irony.
  22. i hope his xmas album would be filled with words like "shit" and "fuck". "Have a Merry fucking Christmas! Don't wake me up early on Xmas morning you 6 year-old shits." could be a classic!
  23. how about "Bush Killer" ?
  24. The song that made Matt a star.... Apparitions (p.s. how the heck can an average MG song like Prime Time Deliverance finish 3rd???????????)
