Damn, no VIP in London this time either. I was thinking I could justify it this time. Maybe I'll try Hamilton, since it is a Saturday night. Very excited, regardless.
-
I can't believe I missed it!! I saw that he had posted something new but I didn't check it out.
-
According to his Twitter, there should be some news coming this month...
-
It was a great interview. It is sad that he's losing his memory. But it was heart-breaking.
-
If you have HBO GO, the second episode is out already. Have to check it out when I get home from work.
-
Anyone check the series premiere last night? I'm already hooked. If you haven't already, look for it. I'm not a fan of science fiction really, but this is well done.
-
I think a lot of us take their music for granted. I'm just used to hearing it all the time, so it blows my mind to hear that someone is just discovering. If you haven't found it yet, check out Nautical Disaster.

Sounds great from that short clip. There's another clip on Matt's Twitter that has Matt goofing around.

I've always liked Punk, but yeah, he got dominated Saturday night.
-
That's cool. That's some pretty old stuff there. Thanks for sharing.

If anyone is in or around the Hamilton area this weekend, The Reason are doing a couple of free things this weekend. There's a free screening of their documentary on Thursday night. It's basically about the struggles of being a semi-famous Canadian band, and follows them on a cross-country tour in 2012 or 2013. They've been on hiatus since then, and this documentary looks really good. Here's a link to an article that came out when they first showed the film. http://exclaim.ca/music/article/reason_explored_in_new_documentary Also, a clip from the film: https://www.facebook.com/thereason/videos/10157383455580223/ On Friday night, they're also playing a free show for Supercrawl in Hamilton. They're playing at the Hamilton Airport at 9:15. I've followed this band for probably 15 years, and they've always been one of my favourites. Glad to see they're playing at least one more show. Here's a link to one of my favourite songs, Come and Go: https://youtu.be/2xclrQAMm5Q

Radiohead: A Moon Shaped Pool

I really got into them around Kid A. I can't say I really like any of their newer stuff. The newest single isn't bad though. -
I'm sure each dealership is different. That's just what we dealt with at Hyundai. Combine it with the fact that no one there knows what they're doing, and it was a huge reason why I'll never go back to that one. Anton's scam was the same as the one they had there. I'm not trying to freak you out lol. But yeah, four spark plugs would be $240, plus who knows what for labour. You have nothing to worry about though!

That's an expensive oil change man! Considering I've done them in my driveway for about $20. My buddy has an older Jetta, and does all the work on it himself. He needed to replace his spark plugs, so he went to our local dealership to get a price. They were $60 apiece! Couldn't believe the upcharge, considering he ended up getting them from them at cost, which was around $15. All dealerships are scams though, I've found. When my Hyundai was under warranty, I had to go to the dealership to get the maintenance done to get free oil changes and to keep the warranty up. The schedule was something like this: Oil Change - Free Service # 1 - $80 Oil Change - Free Service # 2 - $200 Oil Change - Free Service # 3 - $300 Oil Change - Free Service # 4 - $450 In the course of five years, I had to do the biggest service twice. Once they hook you, they'll keep you.

Volkswagens are great. I don't think they're hipster at all. I've always wanted a Jetta, or a Gulf TDI. The only downfall usually is the repair bills, but you won't have that problem.
-
I definitely do. Several times throughout the Hip concert on Saturday. Don't remember the first time it happened though.
-
The Singles Tour is a great idea, too. I think you do a good job with balancing the ratio between new and old songs. Everyone who goes to a concert expects the artist to play music from their newest release. It's a given. It's great that you also work in some older songs, sometimes ones that casual fans don't really appreciate. I think picking a few songs from your older catalog and working those into the setlists from town to town is great. It was so cool to hear Rabbits live again. I didn't think I'd see you ever write the word Rico again, unless it was with an expletive in front of it!!
-
I think most Hip songs would work with his vocal style. I'd like to hear any of them live. I've hoped that footage of that cover would come out somewhere, but I haven't seen anything yet.
-
Vedder's shout out to him was really cool. Didn't expect him to know Gord, but I'm glad he mentioned something. The concert was very emotional. I teared up a few times, especially during Grace, Too. Kudos to him for playing three hours. I don't know if it's a normal thing for them, but the kissing everyone on the lips was interesting.

The show I saw you at on that first tour for Hospital Music was certainly my favourite. It's not to say I haven't disliked any of the full band shows I've seen, but to hear those old songs you don't normally hear is something else. You should also give yourself kudos for being able to go up there with just a guitar and make magic happen. A lot of artists today wouldn't be able to do the same thing. You can't hide behind effects and theatrics in that situation.

Tiguan is a great choice. Very cool.

That's almost a dream setlist, especially acoustic. There are a ton of amazing choices on there. Love the Rooms versions of Tripoli and Prime Time. Also, if you're going to Riverfest in Elora this weekend, they announced the schedule. Matt will be playing on Saturday night, from 8:40 to 9:40 PM.

It all depends on how much you're spending and what the financing terms are. The last car that we financed was over five years, which coincided with the length of the warranty. I'm assuming you could shorten the length of the financing term, but I'm not sure. Also not sure what the difference is between Canada and the US. Obviously, financing is usually the better option, because you actually own the car instead of essentially just renting it. On the other hand, it would be nice to have a new and different car every couple of years, which is why I'll likely just lease next time.
