  1. Ever since that cease and desist letter from Sugar Smacks....
  2. Alan Cross had a cool article about this phenomenon a while ago. I should try to find it.
  3. That would've been a huge show, wow. Green Day just played here in London last night. Edgefest has become a joke in the past few years, the Toronto one anyways.
  4. I saw that too. Sounds like he's good to go for tonight still though. Hopefully everything is alright.
  5. I stayed at the Doubletree the last time I was there. Really enjoyed it. Not super close to the Danforth though.
  6. It was the same last night.
  7. London - March 3rd Encore: Advertising on Police Cars Decades Apparitions Weapon I got there just after the guys got on stage. I literally jumped in the car after Disney On Ice and ran over to the show. The band and Matt sounded fantastic. Can't say that enough. Stu is the man. Pretty much every song was played like the original version. There was a ton of drunk idiots there tonight. It was really distracting. I don't understand who goes to a show to talk. I Miss New Wave, Born To Kill, Jenni's Song, and Running From Home were my favourites of the night. It was so cool to hear those songs played live. Overall, thanks to Matt for coming back. It was a great set.
  8. Way to work the angles on that one, whoever they are. Getting pretty pumped. One hour of work to go!
  9. Must be a good sign if Matt's on the local radio station. Although I really hate radio people who don't do any research before doing an interview. You just have to look at Twitter to figure out the guy is working on an album. It's a pretty awkward interview, and it's all to do with the radio guy: http://www.fm96.com/2017/03/02/travis-chats-with-matthew-good/?sc_ref=www.fm96.com One good thing from it is that Matt says that the new record will be out in the fall. Anyways, I'm getting excited for tomorrow night. Going to Disney on Ice first, then running over to catch the show. Going to be quite the fun-filled night!
  10. It's awesome that you've been able to do this. Thanks for all the recordings.
  11. They've gotten a lot of airplay here, for sure. I'm surprised that they're doing five shows though. Not a huge fan of them.
  12. The Ottawa Bluesfest lineup looks pretty good this year.
  13. I looked into going to the Hamilton show recently, and there aren't very many tickets left. If you're coming up by yourself, you might be able to grab some single seats, as that's all that's left in the lower sections (it's a seated venue). London is just general admission, and I know there's tickets left. Can only vouch that London's venue (London Music Hall) is great.
  14. I have never understood the people who go to a show and expect to hear the album or songs played note for note. Why bother paying to go to a show if you just want to hear the CD? Music is an art form. A lot of people can't handle it anymore, and that's a shame.
  15. It'd be cool to see all those shows. Never seen Deftones live before, but Rise Against has been underwhelming both times I've seen them in an arena show. Metallica would be cool to see once.
  16. Sounds like the security guy likes to be a dick. Is that club owned by the mob or something? Maybe a biker gang? Real tough guy.
  17. There's so much to do in Toronto man. It's not the best time of year because there's no baseball going on and it's not great weather wise, but there's lots to see. - The Distillery District has some really cool breweries and restaurants (gotta go to Mill Street if you do) - Eaton Centre, if you like shopping, has about a million stores in it - There's a Ripley's Aquarium right at the base of the CN Tower now, and it's pricey but cool to see - The downtown area in general has tons of stuff to see and do. Steamwhistle Brewery is across the street from Ripley's. Hockey Hall of Fame is pretty central too - Chinatown is pretty great to see. Lots of cool food there Or just stay in your hotel and drink lol. Worked for me before too.

    New Album 2017

I agree that it could be a single. Love it already.
  19. Thanks for the review. Also, very cool about the asshole shirts coming back. Here's hoping that there's still some left next month.
  20. I love this video, and not just because of the song. It's a great recording.
  21. I had the same experience as Anton. It will take a bit for it to show up, but it will.
  22. Pledge of Allegiance would be cool. Haven't heard that one live before. Vancouver doesn't really get a lot of love from Matt when it comes to set lists. Loved Great Whales and Vancouver National Anthem a lot. Champions would be another pick for me, but I won't have a vote, so here's hoping it gets some love. My most-requested one though is definitely: https://youtu.be/TShxaylXgdk
  23. #shouldaboughtaps4 lol I have a love/hate feeling towards digital downloads. I agree that the discs can be frustrating.
  24. The Nintendo Switch looks pretty cool...
  25. How about Nardwuar? I think I've seen him around.
