CG isn't the problem, it's the way it's used. Look at I Am Legend or The Day After Tomorrow - crap. Total crap. Starship Troopers on the other hand is 90% CG and looks great even though it's a decade old. Fuckers.

I Am Legend - meh. Unimpressive CGI. Kinda balls. Blood Diamond - sufficient gunplay!

A little slow at first, and probably makes a lot more sense if you've played Team Fortress 2, but I've had decent feedback from non-players I've sent it to as well.
