  1. You just said exactly what is was going to. Nice. I actually got bored half way through. We're heard people say all this stuff before here and on The Idiot Box. It's boring now. If only he would put that much energy into something that mattered.
  2. My stupid friend drove high once of twice. One time he almost drove off the road because he got so involoved in the radio. Another time he did drive off the road, down a cliff. He destroyed his car, almost killed himself, and the passenger almost lost her arm. Speed and darkness may have played more of a factor, but the point is that he was still a little high and misjudged everything. So don't try to defend driving high to me. (This isn't directed at the above posts, but rather those trying to say that driving high is okay.) If you're going to smoke pot, sit on a comfy chair, grabs some snack and water and put on "A Bug's Life". Seriously, those little ants look so cool.
  3. I meant that the pot slows down your reaction time, not driving slow. And you're totally right, there are enough stupid drivers on the road just normaly, so adding pot to the mix is extra stupid. I think if we can legalize it without pissing off our neighbours, keep it controlled like alcohol and cigarettes, and have large penalties for offenses, then our country could benefit from it. I think that's still a ways off, but with all the discussions about it, hopefully the country is on the right track. Then all you americans can sit down there all jealous while we get high with our married gay friends. HA!
  4. I think this line sums up most of the arguments made for staying with Britain. But that's like saying Russia would not be a coutry without the Eastern Slav tribes. Of course! History is full of nations populating other nations and taking over other nations. This doesn't mean it should stay that way forever. Arguing to stay with Britain because it's tradition of that's the way it started is silly. I can't see any reason to stay linked. If someone has a better reason than tradition, please explain.
  5. Driving too slow is dangerous too. It slows your reaction time too. You can try all you want but you're never going to get me to change my mind on this. I don't even think people should ralk on cell phones while they drive. Too many people take it driving too lightly and that's why there are so many accidents. And maybe you're right, maybe the people who sell pot aren't the worst, or as bad as people selling crack, but that's where I draw the line. It's my choice.
  6. I don't smoke it because it's illegal. I don't want to support the people who run said business. If it was government controlled, then I would probably smoke a bit. I know other. It's a moral issue for me, it's not just the fact that it's illegal, but the fact of who it supports.
  7. no it isn't, it's not even the same thing. alcohol and pot don't have the same effects on a person because they are not the same thing. and you just called like everyone i know a piece of shit so i'm gonna send you a list of names and i expect apologies to them all. and i still don't agree that making it legal is gonna make that many people smoke it that wouldn't have in the first place. cigarettes are legal, and that doesn't make people smoke them if they don't want to smoke. pot is no different. making it legal isn't gonna make people that don't want to smoke smoke, period. I think legalizing it would see more people smoking it. There are many people who don't smoke it simply because it is illegal. However, I'm not sure how long it would last. I'm sure many more people would try it, but I don't necessarily think it would create more frequent users, because you're right, MOST people who want to do it, do. And once again, I do think it's a good idea to legalize it. And I'll never apologize for calling people who drive high pieces of shit. I never said alcohol and pot were the same, I know how alcohol affects one and I know how pot does. And as JM pointed out, they both affect your judgement. No one should be driving when they're high! So, once again, people who drive drunk or high are pieces of shit. If you want to send me a list of names, please include email addresses so I can personally email each one of you piece of shit friends and call them pieces of shit personally.
  8. That's a load of crap. Driving high is just as stupid as driving drunk. And anyone who does it is a piece of shit. And ecnarf, I stated in my comment that if it was legal, I may smoke a bit from time to time. And I don't think I'm the only one. There are many people that don't smoke it simply because it is illegal. If it became legal, it would be much more accesible. Many people that maybe do it on occasion because their friend's have some, could now easily get it on their own as much as they want. Also, people will then be smoking in the open and everyone will just have so much more access to it. And if the government suddenly says something's okay, then yes, people will be more likely to try it. I'm not saying the increase would last indefinitely, but there would be a large increase.
  9. don't you mean "government"? legalizing it isn't gonna encourage anyone that isn't already smoking to start smoking. and IF it did, it wouldn't be enough people to make a shit anyway. if they legalized it would YOU start smoking? I think that it actually would increase by a large amount. I choose not to smoke as I have no interest in supporting those types of people. But if it were legal, then I probably would. That being said, I don't think large amounts of people taking up dope smoking is a bad thing. I'd rather have a bunch of high people hanging around thatn drunk people. They're quieter, mellower, too lazy too fight, and usually in a good mood. I think that Canada could benefit from legalizing it, and I think it's on the way, but there are still many problems to address besides just US reaction.
  10. I don't know, that might just really scare them off. I think that may be too many "parts" for one person.
  11. "I" listened to "Age of Electric" last "night". It was "good". I also "like" "Limblifter.""""""""""""
  12. I tried to get a BJ but no go. I bought an Avalanche shirt that doesn't fit anymore.
  13. It's "Orange Sky" by Alexi Murdoch. Good song. Also heard in Garden State and The OC.
  14. I sorta doubt that since he's in Vancouver right now.
  15. Matthew Good has three dogs. Discuss...
  16. I live in Vancouver but no one can stay with me. I don't have room and I don't think my dog would like it.
  17. You have to have had a blog for 2 or 3 months before he'll consider adding you. And then you just have to email him. However he mentioned all this in his blog, which makes me think you don't actually read it. Which makes me wonder why you'd want to be linked on it.
  18. The trick to casting the right Batman is casting the right Bruce Wayne. Keaton pulled it off. Clooney and Kilmer couldn't even pull off Batman in the suit. Christian Bale is a fantastic actor, and teaming up with Christopher Nolan makes me think this movie could rock the asses of all of us.
  19. Isn't it easier to just type "It's Been Awhile..." instead of IBASIWYM?
  20. He got a new computer. Discuss.
  21. After reading this thread, I'm not even going to bother looking at the site. Anyone who says that Nirvana is Canadian has no business judging who's cool or not.
  22. Has anyone who's responded actually seen it though? Everyone keeps saying how bad it is, but no one seem's to have actually seen it. I know they're selling it a certain way, but from what I heard it's not as bad you might all think. Granted I heard good things from a friend of mine who's friends with the Director, but still, I'd love to hear comments from someone who's SEEN the movie.
  23. Try his blog. Now that a Provincial election is coming up he's talking a bit more about politics. His last entry also had some views on Paul Martin. And you may find some stuff in his archives around the time of the Federal Election. But I think his blog would be a good place to start to find out what he thinks.

I've never seen "Rat" but I would love to! It's my favorite. Maybe one day.

I've heard Carmelina. And Advertising on Police Cars. And I think I heard Tripoli once. And he doesn't like the album because they were all fighting on it and it's not what he wanted to make. He thinks it feels more like BM2. Or something like that.
