I think doing your own research is kind of what the documentary wants you to do. And I think it's a good thing to do anyway. It's not good to just believe everything you see.

I agree that it gets kind of annoying. If people come here and want to be a prt of the community and get the songs they want as a bonus, then great. But it's annoying to constantly have new people show up, post a bunch of stupid shit to get points, and then just ask for them. Everyone that has all the songs got them somewhere. They either found them, or traded with friends. I posted for a while and got what I needed. I'm not trying to be an asshole and hoard everything to myself but it's just lazy people. Lazy is annoying.

He lives in LA and Stargate shoots in Vancouver. His kid is in LA too so he actually commutes every weekend. I think after eight years of that I'd stop too.

There's also the point that there are many children out there that were "accidents" and they're parents really neglect them because they never wanted them. If a gay couple wants a child, they adopt or go through some other method. In this case, they must really want the child. So between those two cases, which child would be better off? I'm thinking the one in the loving household.

I would have politely told the guy that although I respect his right to his beleifs, he's being a narrow minded bigot who needs to be a little less concerned about two people trying to legally pronounce their love for each other and little more concerned with something that's actually a problem. A few posts back someone posted the dictionary meanings for documentary. This film clearly falls under the first definition. It's an extremely one-sided doc., but still a doc. And I do work in the film indusrty and have been involved documentaries. This film is a documentary.

Every few weeks or so a bunch of noobs show up and start all these stupid polls to score NF$ but they keep doing it in the wrong forums and such. It's getting annoying again.

I think he made it on the assumption that most people had heard the opposing facts, as was probably the case. Many people were only fed the Pro-Bush stuff. He decided to show us the other side. You're right Toad, it wouldn't have had the same flow if he stopped at each point to show us the other side, he figured we already knew it.

Don't forget Napoleon Dynamite! And yeah, movies have been going downhill for a long time. I've been renting a lot from last year and there's just too much crap. The only thing I look forward too are these little indie or foriegn movies that pop up.

This website is a good place to start. If you go the main page and look to the side where it says "Videos" and then click on that, I think you'll be pleased.

I know that. You were trying to say that it HAD to show both side. It can show both sides if the filmmaker wants, but it does not have to. That's up to the filmmaker.
