Overrated to the max biatches!

They've been one of my favorite bands for a while. They just have such a different and fantastic sound. I was pretty pumped when my other favorite band, Thursday, decided to cover one of their songs. And you have to check out their videos. They're all pretty impressive.

Did you just use "rad" in a sentence? I liked Beck in the "Devil's Haircut" days, I gues in the mid 90's. Although I have to say he's always been an interesting artist and none of his stuff really sounds the same. I also suggest that if you haven't heard him, give him a try. But you'll have to give a bit from each album a try I think, because they really are different.

No one really gives a shit about spelling and talking about it won't get you far. Trust me, I used to try. It's not like we're publishing anything fancy, just typing out stuff for fun on a board.

I've only seem the Hip once on the Phantom Power tour and it was pretty good, but I got a little drunk and I don't really remember it that well. Although I remember it wasn't a great show, but that could've just been me. I also went to school with a guy that's from the Hip's hometown. He said that when they played a show there earlier in their career, he saw Gordon Downy masturabting in a stairwell. Sounds weird but he's not really the type of guy to lie about something like that. "Locked In The Trunk of A Car" is my fav!

Dan I think you have some rage issues to work out. Anyway, the Hip were great until they started releasing the same album over and over again. I sorta lost interest after Phatom Power. But if you go back and listen to Fully Completely, you'll get them at their peek. That's a very solid album and I think it's their best, no matter what they do now.

I used to really like these guys in high school. Are they still around? "Good", "desperately Wanting", that was all fun stuff.

I also don't think it's fair to presume why people visit a Matt Good message board. As mentioned above, there are a lot of fans of the older stuff. And many people were fans, but have recently been turned off by Matt's political beliefs or whatever. but a lot of people know each other from past boards and still like to chat with those same people. It's all good.

Of course it wouldn't be good if he's done with music. He's one of my favorite artists. I think he's got a lot left. C'mon, what's wrong with you?

Britsavant, I'm utterly speachless. I was expecting a brutal flurry on insults from you, but you were so civil. I'm amazed! And hey, I hope the next album is another Beautiful Midnight. And not a BM ripoff, but a fantastic album through and through. And yes, I do believe there will be another album.

Do you ever feel that you've become too serious a person? Even if that's just the way you're perceived? Or do you feel like you have a lot of fun, but only choose to show a serious front on you blog?

Do the dogs come with you on tour? Do they have groupies?

If you were President of the US, what would you do about the current situations in Iran and North Korea?

If you quit music, what's the next career move? Why do you rent an apartment instead of buying a house or condo? And I'm really not trying to be a jerk with these questions, but they don't all have to be serious do they? Sometimes I want to know what my favorite artists think about regular, everyday stuff.

How do you deal with the insane amount of negative criticism you seem to receive? What is wrong with the music industry today? Would your wiener dogs like to meet my wiener dog? (That's not some sexual thing, I actually have a wiener dog.) What's the next album going to sound like? Because I know there has to be another album. I agree. Bush and North Korea are being very stubborn about the talks. I still don't know how much power the citizens could have over that government. I think they need to just get back to talking, which China is working on. As long as no one says or does anything stupid in the next few days, hopefully it will turn out well. And I don't know if they really have nuclear weapons or not, but if there's one thing Team America taught me it's that Kim Jong-Il is crazy, man!

If we're really concerned about saving lives and feeding the hungry, we should turn our attention to Africa. If would take a lot less money, effort and military force. I don't think any country has the "right" to be invaded. The government may be bad, but that doesn't always reflect the citizens. And some of them may have it bad, but I don't think an invasion would help that. Not to be typical, but check out Iraq. It's seriously bad.
