  1. *blush* Why thank you ;) I agree about D&D, it's best when it's about the story, not exp and items. I've had some pretty geekalicious campaigns with people from school, and it just really perpetuated the nerd sterotype of losers in robes rolling dice. It requires a little more prep beforehand, but it's no different than playing a board game. our current DM has background in improv, so he's a great storyteller. We also set up his laptop to project on our TV, so he creates maps with photoshop to help illustrate what's going on. He has funny music and sounds to go with it (like when we have a battle, he'll play the FF7 battle music, and use the fanfare when we finish). It's all quite the production. And this goes for all tabletop RPGs, not just D&D. There some really fun RPGs out there (omg, sorry for hijacking the thread!), for anime fans there is BESM (Big Eyes, Small Mouth), and for RPG n00bs, GURPS (Generic Universal Role Playing System), and I recently had the pleasure of playing the Firefly RPG. It even came with a chinese swear word dictionary in the back! Love it.
  2. haha wow! That's hilarious! No Wayne Brady? XD I don't really look like anyone. Although my friend Yvonne and I get compared a lot. I think it's only cos we're both tiny azns who like to dress up as schoolgirls and have a fringe, though.
  3. I do have a wii! and I don't have those games! Wii shall download, thanks!
  4. Hey fuck you, D&D is fun! We've got a pretty hilarious campaign going on right now. It's just 3 of us and our DM. My character's name is Busty Winters, she's an elf thief and our original mission was to The Belt Of Attractiveness from some orks who stole it. I made the mistake of putting the belt on, and now I'm a man. A very attractive man ;) And now I can't get the belt off. Our new mission is to find a way to reverse it. The other characters are Hufflepuff Darkmagic (Wizard), Kirben Vost (Warrior), and Bob (Cleric).
  5. Little Big Planet! I forgot to mention I play that when I can. And every Friday is Rockband and D&D night. Geekalicious Anton, I played Gunbound so much I think I almost flunked school cos of it :S I was like, a double gold axe or something XD RE: FF Voice acting Honestly, I can *never* get into the choices for the English voice actors. It's like watching anime in english. No thanks. I wish they would just have english subtitles and keep the original voices.
  6. Oh! haha oops! My mistake! I've never played Chrono Cross, unfortunately. But...Chrono Trigger is still good too! ;)
  7. Owen, you are *exactly* where Kevin is, on FF12. Hears hoping that FF13 is better. So far only 1 character looks really annoying. Graham, Chrono Trigger *is* awesome. I love the look and feel of the game. As for random battles, there's something incredibly fun and so stressful about them. I remember the intense feeling of panic/stress/frustration every time I was trying to get through the map and I hear that familiar "*kssshh!*", followed by a battle.
  8. Did anyone ever play Gunbound? Boy howdy that was an addictive game. So was Ragnarok Online. There was another online MMO that was really fun too, but I can't remember the name right now.
  9. I forgot about Crisis Core! Kevin also has it and he says it's heartbreakingly good.
  10. Eh, it's a video game, we can talk about it haha 12 has the most boring, irritating characters. and the story was beyond pointless. I couldn't get behind it at all. Dirge of Cerberus is a great game. I'm not really one for fighting games, but lots of talk about Final Fantasy Dissidia for PSP. Kevin's got it, but it's a downloaded Japanese version. He has no idea how to play it haha But it looks awesome!
  11. I really did not enjoy playing FFX, why they made a slutty sequel, I have no clue. Blitzball can srsly stfu. We will not speak of the monstrosities that are 11 and 12. VII always has great replay value. I also really enjoyed 9, although I know it's not liked by many. Right now, I'm playing Raving Rabbids TV Party and HSM3 Dance. haha
  12. You're fabulous, love.
  13. Yes'm pls. ;)
  14. I didn't know there was a Christmas Special ;)
  15. I've seen this before! I love it! It's absolutely adorable. But then I've always been a Wallace and Gromit fan.
  16. That is such a dad sweater haha
  17. Cartier sunglasses and cashmere. Baller.
  18. My ex and I are best friends. We spend quite a bit on each other for birthdays and Xmas. I'm paying for his first tattoo for his Xmas gift, and bought him a bottle of his cologne, so it's evening out in monetary value. Kevin's not pissed at all, he understands how close I am to Keith and his family. They mean a lot to me. Keith's family loves Kevin too, everyone in Keith's family bought Kevin some Xmas gifts too. Besides, Kevin gets a new wii, no reason to be pissed there ;)
  19. Jarrod, that sounds like an awesome way to spend holiday time, lucky you! So far, I got: * $210 cash - From my aunt, and my ex's gramma * $25 Milestones gift card - From my grandparents * A crapload of Disney Princess merchandise (Cinderella mug, glitter glue, stickers, pens, bath foam, lip balms) - From my ex's mum & Dad * A High School Musical pen and singing toothbrush, A Wii, WiiFit, Raving Rabbids TV Party, Disney's ThinkFast, 500 wiipoints and an extra Wiimote & Nunchuck - From My ex * High School Musical 3 Dance for wii (with dance pad!) - My ex's bro (and good friend). He even wrapped it in High School Musical gift wrap...cut Zac Efron's head off some of the paper, and glued it onto Ashley Tisdale's body...and wrote a comment on how illegal it is to want his body. * A Roxy hoodie and $300 - My mum * Fern Gully DVD (It's an injoke), Vol. 1 of the Dark Tower graphic novel and Raving Rabbids - From my ex's cousin (and good friend) * A bottle of wine - My mum's bf * A sweater from Bluenotes, A Sailormoon Moon Crescent Wand (old childhood toy I lost a long time ago), Oklahoma! Soundtrack (The one with Hugh Jackman!), Vol. 1 & 2 of Grimm's Fairy Tales graphic novel, Vol 1 of Mouse Guard graphic novel, assorted candies (including like 6 Kinder Surprises) - Kevin A very full and materialistic holiday. Also probably got the most toys ever this year haha
  20. So, how's everyone's holidays going? Let's hear what you all did and got!
  21. I just read about this today. So sad. She looks so different in the picture they included with the article I read. She and Q were my favourite characters ;) I bet they'll dedicate the JJ Abrams film to her. They better. RIP First Lady of Star Trek.
  22. An acquaintance of mine used to help set up some of his shows and he said he's also a complete douchebag too.
  23. I saw Australia on Sat. I enjoyed it.
  24. Oh! The guy in Enter The Dragon! I never remembered his name! haha XD Blaxploitation
  25. I can't say I know who that is, sorry?
