  1. Well that yes, but what the hell. Giant killer robots from Mars? Maybe its the fact that I don't really know much about Transformers but is there more to it than that?
  2. Saw that song performed live just last night. Not too bad, but as far a Big Wreck/Thornley goes, I prefer "That Song",(which they played too.)
  3. It seems like it'll be a good movie but the concept just looks so... odd.
  4. These guitars are ridiculously overpriced. You could get four good quality guitars for the price of one of his. Crazy.
  5. The Dave Matthews Band is nothing short of amazing live. "Crash into Me" and "#41" are absolutely wicked and they just show what excellent control Dave has with his voice in a live setting. Such a talented and underrated band, mostly in the sense that was discussed earlier; the fact that most of the fans just see this band as pop rather than true artists.
  6. It works just fine. First you type in the code on the top right. Then you wait 45 seconds, an add will appear after 40 seconds, simply close that and the link will appear at the top of where the add was. ;) Yeah, its kind of a process but these links don't expire half as fast as Yousendits. Pinback - Loro
  7. The Fray - How To Save A Life Here's that Mars Volta song for whoever is interested: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HZIO12Q7
  8. This is true. Fuck yeah, I'm seeing them play this Saturday for Canada Day; Foxfest. Can't wait.
  9. Where'd that song come from?! I think its from their upcoming album. I could upload it if anyone's interested. Its all in spanish and quite mellow but I kinda like it. There's definately less of that ambient bullshit that plagued their last one. The Hold Steady - Barfruit Blues
  10. The Mars Volta - Asilos Magdalena
  11. There's actually alot more of these Mighty Max "Doom Zones" than I thought. I must have had like 4 of them. http://www.spectrumplanet.com/html/doom_zones.htm
  12. Mighty Max! Plus I collected Marvel cards, Ninja Turtles, X-men Figures... The good stuff.
  13. Wintersleep - How You Gonna Lie? (Live)
  14. Yeah Venom comes into the picture when the black suit goes from Spiderman to Eddie Brock. Spiderman in the black suit is just an alien goo that makes him do evil things... if I remember right.
  15. The new trailer can be found here: http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_picture...an_3/large.html Looks Fucking Wicked.
  16. You're the one who listens to Billy Talent, Alexisonfire, and all of those interchangable bands! Yeah, I do but I also understand the difference between those types of bands and bands with depth. Bands like Cursive, The Constantines, Modest Mouse and The National experiment with different musical styles and ideas. Their lyrics are original, the contain elaborate metaphors and complex diction. These bands are willing to try new things and don't produce music that feels stale and cliched. You're right, I do enjoy the other spectrum of music but I understand what it is. Pop, made simply to consume and discard. I like this type of music too, but the real Artists within the genre are the ones I end up coming back to after I'm sick of the one dimensional pop.
  17. Underoath - Everyone Looks So Good From Here
  18. "The Constantines - Young Lions". The lyrics are perfect and the music is inspiring. Its just a great tune. I know its a pretty new song, but I think it'll stand the test of time for me. "Soon Enough" by the Constantines is also up there but it only came out last year so I may still get sick of it.
  19. Are you serious? Obviously you didn't listen to the same band as I did. Cursive sound nothing like today's disposable "emo" bands. They're indie rock and if anything I'd liken them to bands like the National, Modest Mouse, The Constantines and The Decemberists rather than Brand New. But I guess this is indicative of todays society, music has to have enough of a pop edge to hook people, otherwise they'll instantly discard it. Albums like these, the type that grow on you and take a while to fully appreciate, don't get recognized by most one-track minds.
  20. Yeah, that album is fucking wicked. The only problem I found was that I got sick of the songs really fast but I know I'll come back to them soon enough. All you fuckers dislike them because those emo 12 year olds are obsessed with bands like this. I bet if Panic! had little to no followers, twice as many people on this board would admit to liking them.
  21. There's a brand spanking new Wintersleep video for the song Lipstick. HERE Deathcab's older cd's are amazing. Also they have some of the best lyrics ever written.
  22. i hate Dallas. he's really annoying. i really like George though. no... not quite eh?
  23. Underoath - Writing On The Walls
  24. Weakerthans - Psalm for the Elks Lodge Last Call
