That is one fuck of a solid album. In-Flight Safety - The World I Won't

I'd have to agree with you. So far it beats out the Arcade Fire, Shins, Anberlin and Dear and the Headlights which, for me, are the years best up to this point. But this year has so many albums to look forward to, I think this one will slip down into my lower top ten. I have a feeling the Constantines and Wintersleep will be battling out for the top spot.

I just saw it last night. It was okay but the fact that all these people would believe this childrens story right off the bat, is just plain bizarre. It totally destroyed the believability of the characters in this movie. Although I guess you could argue that Story had this effect on these people. I don't really see how people think there was a twist at the end at all, seems like it was pretty straight foreward. It definately had a cool premise though, and I liked the fact that these people, who are meant to fulfill a purpose are unknowingly brought together by the universe. Good ideas but overall a poor execution. 5/10

Hmmm. I'll be interested to see what it sounds like. Hopefully it reflects his live show more than his first one. I saw him live three times and he's a very talented guitarist but his first album didnt' really capture that too well.

After a few more listens, Little Motel isn't as great as it first sounded. But the following are the initial standouts: Spitting Venom Parting of the Sensory Florida (I could see it being the next single) We've Got Everything So far I'm liking it more than Good News but it'll take more listens to see how it stacks up to earlier stuff.

Spitting Venom and Little Motel came close to making my brain explode. Even with one listen I can tell this is one of the best albums I heard in a long time. Damn this is going to be one amazing year for music.

Wow. That episode was fucking amazing. Looks like Lost has still got it. They just have to stop focusing on Jack, Kate, Sawyer and the Others for a bit. Maybe do some more character development that was so effective in the first season.

Aw, damn I thought the new album leaked. Yeah, Dashboard is decent. I'm not sure if I like this Float On, poppy direction they're headed. But I still have high hopes for this album.

Well if everyone is ranking their albums, I might as well join in. Though my list is probably most of yours inverted. SCIENCE Make Yourself Morning View Fungus/Enjoy Crow Light Grenades Almost a steady decline in quality since they began. I do however, enjoy their earliest stuff. Take Me To Your Leader for example is just damn good tuneage. For me, nothing besides Anna Molly stood out on their new one and Crow has got Sick Sad Little World but little else worth listening to.

You should definately pick up SCIENCE. Its brilliant and as far as I'm concerned, its their best.

Yes! I was watching his skits on youtube. This man can do no wrong. This clip had me rolling on the floor.

Its got a good tune/feel to it but every time I hear it, the lyrics make me cringe. Its painfull really. Compare this to some of his earlier work and its night and day. He could have at least veiled the meaning in a metaphor or two. There's that newest song though, I think its called Metal Airplanes. The one that everyone is losing their loads over. I can't even listen to it. Definately gets my vote for worst song he's written and its up against Song For The Girl so thats saying something. I really hope it doesn't make the cut.

I saw them live at UVIC a few years ago and they put on a good show. My favourite is One More Pill but both Cupid and their new album are full of good ol' fashioned radio pop.

Thats cool man. So do you know anything about the new album then? What its going to sound like. Anything like that? So far what I've heard from their myspace it seems sort of dancy. I'm just hoping it won't be a step in the direction of Fallout boy or anything. The song Never Odd or Even... or what I remember of it after 8 beer sounded pretty good though.

Whenever I hear their songs I think of how Mark can't write vocal melodies. To me they sound akward and its seems like he doesn't know what notes he wants to hit when he's singing. Tom was the 'talented' one of the band. Angels and Airwaves is better.

Edit: Nevermind I misunderstood the post. Your cousin's in the band? Thats pretty cool. I'm a huge fan of these guys. What does he play?

Yeah, thats pretty much it though. I think Dave might be producing the new Theset album and Warne is mastering it so they came out for their show. One thing that threw me off though was the fact that Dave changed his hairstyle... maybe the end of days is near. ;)
