Whats all this hate on 'Plans'. I think its a fantastic record. And by my standards its easily their best one yet. 'Brothers on a Hotel Bed', 'What Sarah Said' and 'Summer Skin' some of my all time favourite songs right there. To each their own, I guess.

So if Kate has Claire's baby, does that mean that Aaron is going to turn evil.

Anyone have the new Constantines?

The screaming is what makes the music great. The way Dallas and George play off of each other are what turned me on to the band in the first place. That and the great guitar playing that sort of faded after the first album. What they need is for George to add some variety to his monotone growl and for the band to stop focusing on writing catchy songs that showcase Dallas' voice in their attempt to reel in the little kiddies.

Well, as expected, they rocked the fuck out of Richards last night in Van. I think they played every song from the new album too. Damn fine.

Say Anything - Plea

Seeing these guys in Van next week! It'll be my third time seeing them. Should be fricken sweet. Hope they pillage most of their set from the new album. Its just too damn good. But you know, I find it odd that these guys tend not to have choruses in most of their songs... I think it is, like Derek says, because songs are born out of jams.

Wow, I just listened to the new album front to back twice. I can tell, without a doubt, this is the finest album I've ever heard. By any band. Its like it was made solely for my musical tastes. I don't remember ever hearing an album that I liked this much right away. Its absolutely flawless, with every song being mindblowingly amazing. That said, the songs that really made this album what it is, are: Search Party Drunk on Aluminum Dead Letter and the Infinite Yes

The Twilight Sad - Cold Days From The Birdhouse

I find that, with the exception of 'The Pig War', I can't get into anything after "Pirates". Their guitarwork is still exceptional though.

Does anyone have "The White Buffalo" by any chance?

Matthew Good - Moon Over Marin Sounds decent.

I wasn't a big fan when I first heard it. But upon further listens it really grew on me and now I can't stop listening to it. I think I like it the best out of all of them so far... I don't know if I like the lyrics though. This album is very, very personal. It sort of feels weird when you know exactly what he's singing about.

I know what you mean. It really bothered me for a while, especially when he sings in the higher range. So far though, for these new songs I'm not hearing anything too irritating. Maybe I'm getting used to it though. Although the high parts of Can't Get Shot, still bug me.

Maybe I have to get used to it still but at this point the demo version is way better.

I find the latter half of the album has the most standout songs. With the exception of "Steam Ingeneous" those are the songs I tend to repeat the most. The beginning of the album is pretty solid but I find the middle sort of loses its way a little, the last bit is what makes this a great album. And still, after over a month of listening to this thing, I give it two fat fucking thumbs up.

Saw it last night. I wasn't really prepared for how long this movie was. But overall it was pretty solid, kept my interest the whole time. My only beef is that it didn't really go anywhere.
