Ted Leo And The Pharmacists
mrjones replied to a topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Yeah, Ted Leo is the man. Saw him live in Victoria. Seems like he's got a thing for Western Canada which makes for frequent shows in this part of the country (for an american artist). I guess if you're just starting to get to know his music, songs you should hear would be: Counting Down the Hours (My personal fav) Biomusicology Me and Mia Under the Hedge High Party Ballad of the Sin Eater Where Have all the Rude Boys Gone Dial Up The Gold Finch And The Red Oak Tree That should get you started. He's got a few albums under his belt and he's working on new material right now. Should be tits. -
Yeah, the second season has really picked up. This episode was especially strong. I love the new dynamic with Sayid and Charlie, its like they have turned to the "dark side". Makes for good watching. I guess everything in that diagram is already figured out... pretty neat. Wonder whats in the middle of the six hatches.

The more I listen to this record the more I like it. "I Hope Your Heart Runs Empty" is one of the best songs I've heard this year. Absolutely amazing. -
Wait... there's a Flashdance 1?

Yeah, I agree. I'm not sure what it is but for some reason Tournament of Hearts doesn't hold a candle to the other two. It has some decent songs songs but besides Soon Enough, they're lacking... something. I'd have to say their self titled is as of yet my favourite, it has the best songs on there as well as some of the strongest lyrics I've ever had the pleasure to read. Check it out if you haven't. -
So I guess this is the album artwork... not too bad.

What is it? A Rokr?... Looks like my Razr but without flip capabilities.

Imogen's album is great. I haven't really listened to Frou Frou apart from a few songs, I should check out the rest. I found Frou Frou's album to be way stronger than Imogen's solo stuff... but maybe thats just me. In any case, you're missing out. -
I have myspace but... I have no friends as a result of neglecting my account for my purevolume account. But it can be found as follows: http://www.myspace.com/themorningmarch

so $30 would be more reasonable to see 3 more band members even though you're really only paying to see one of them? No, considering I'm paying $13 to see Wintersleep with two other bands, I think that paying over twice that price to see one man with a guitar is a little rediculous. But I'm not saying that I wouldn't do it. I've seen him play three times and even though he could charge a lot less and still make as much profit on this tour, if I was able to get tickets I probably would have. Despite the price tag. Its funny, I bet when he first did this tour ten years ago he charged around $5.

Thats pretty cool. Now I'm actually regretting not buying tickets. Oh well there's what, three people recording shows? I'm sure I'll live. Plus 30 bucks... thats nuts for an acoustic show.

I love the song with Scott Anderson. Possibly better than Dallas Green. Not that... I love Dallas Green. -

There's a video for Over and Over Again up on You Tube. Its old but this is the first time I've seen it. Its a pretty good video for what I think is the best song on the album. -
