  1. how is there a difference aside from the surface to which the data is saved to? i can see your point if you were to say something like "i enjoy the sound of vinyl over mp3s" but there is no difference between CDs and mp3s... i still buy CDs don't get me wrong, and i like having the stacks of CDs like mrs. jesus says, and i like looking at the liner notes, but i don't get what you're saying. if you've paid for the music either way, how does listening to a CD differ from listenning to it from your harddrive?
  2. autolux or DFA1979 openning?
  3. yeah i agree, and i have my music backed up on a external hard drive, not CDs. it feels the same to me.
  4. CD binder cases. efficient way to protect your music collection? OR convenient way for thieves to steal all your CDs at once? discuss.
  5. most of the stuff with the label of emo nowadays just isnt the same as it initially was... dashboard confessional especially. what a hack.
  6. in deep six i thought he was saying "deep six, come to bed" and in weapon when he sings "this is where the world drops off" i had no effing clue what he was saying at all.
  7. s'cuse me??? ever heard a little song called "ex pats of the blue mountain symphony orchestra"?
  8. what is going ON??!?!?!!!
  9. that would be practical because then i could make use of my zombie survival guide.
  10. i understand where everyone's feelings of hate and anger towards paul are coming from, but you can't negate the fact that he's one of the best song writers ever (along with john, don't have a shit fit). he may not be in it for the art, but he's still responsible for great songs like "eleanor rigby" and "for no one" (my personal favorite). it's easy to dismiss paul because of his personality, but if you do so, you're overlooking a huge and integral part of the beatles and popular music in general.
  11. i'm already in a pool and too lazy to join another. otherwise i would.
  12. its because no one likes you, therefore no one cares what you say. that kind of came out of nowhere... unless you're just following my lead and starting fights to up the drama in this place, then i understand, if not, i completely don't. also, props to mrs. jesus for having my back... and starting this thread.
  13. i like what i've heard. specifically "east hastings".
  14. wow chirac was a pimp.
  15. there should be a "bob rock destroys careers" option. why they'd want someone who produced motely crue is beyond me. the black album was alright because he was still breaking them in but after that the band doesn't exist to me.
  16. Thats basically the description of punk. well i don't think punk was all bad. i'm just saying that the sex pistols sucked at it. the clash effing rocked and so did the ramones. the misfits were quite good as well. but punk isn't my thing. what followed in its footsteps is (goth rock, new wave, hardcore, grunge, etc. )
  17. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - "Gospel Song"
  18. apparently, not being able to play bass or know where you are for that matter is more "punk rock" than anything else.
  19. more kitties for everyone's enjoyment. i have a feeling no one reads this anymore. http://www.acaseofcuriosities.com/potter_tea_croquet.html
  20. i don't get it. i said fuck you to everybody and no one objected.
  21. fuck you. i'll draw a picture later. for now, enjoy this website: http://www.stuffonmycat.com/
  22. i agree about the boring threads thing. if i ever stop posting it's because theres only one thread going in the music section and it's devoted to sum 41 or something like that. boooring. we need some action, we need some drama. because a wise man once told me that drama = conflict, i'll start off. fuck you, everybody.
