yessiree bob. i like it. although i find it a little strange. it seems to build and doesn't go anywhere... but it's still good. -
it isn't going to be cancelled. it just didnt do well. now with all the publicity it got from almost getting cancelled and the great response from fans, it isn't being cancelled.

jakalope arent all bad. i wouldn't call them revoluntionary or life changing or any of that, but they have their moments. have you heard the album??? i will certainly check out the dresden dolls website when i get the time. i seem to be lacking it at the moment, but i will check em out. sure, sure. -

it does make sense, and i agree for the most part. i'm not that well versed in their music really. i do like some stuff though. i think they got their record deal partly because of mr. weiland's voice and its similarity to someone elses. they do have talent, but i dont see what could be so great about them. -

maybe he just makes fun of the dresden dolls because you make fun of him listening to jakalope. just an observation. i'm not dr. phil so i cant help you with your internet love. i've only heard one song by the dresden dolls: "good day". it's pretty good. -

Has Religion Done More Good Than Bad?

i havent voted yet, because it's hard to say. we wouldn't be here if it weren't for religion. i don't mean that in the creationist sense, but the fact that a lot of our history occurred because of conflicts due to religion and belief. when you look at it on a smaller scale, on a personal level it works both ways as well. i was raised roman catholic and went to all the sunday school business and was a part of the religion heavily for 3-4 years of my life. when i got to the age where i started to learn more history, think critically and think more for myself, i learned that roman catholocism wasn't for me. but i'm glad i had the experience of learning about it in the capacity that i did. i had to experience what mass following was like in order to realize that i wasn't going to be a part of it. -
i'm going to have to say "man of action". it's one of the songs that got me into matthew good's stuff.

Nine Inch Nails - "At the Heart of It All" -
usually when i enjoy music the most is when im walking somewhere. i usually have these deep thoughts when i walk places, and the lyrics in a song are sometimes the thing that sparks my thinking. i also like to listen on long busrides. when you've got nothing else to pay attention to, you notice a lot more in the music than you normally do just listenning from your computer or stereo. of course, thats what i've found anyway.

Beautiful Midnight "post Grunge"?
borntohula replied to carv's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
yeah, and if you tried to call it something other than just "alternative" you come out with something convoluted and strange like "post-grunge-neo-folk-rock"
